They gave us the right suggestions about the materials to use, the combination and in 9 full working days the bathroom was ready and beautiful. The contractors they sent home were professionist and hard workers. I would choose Sanisale 10000 times again. Thanks

We are customers from Germany and were…

We are customers from Germany and were looking for a very small fontein to be placed into a very small guest clean room of 1 m x 1 m. No success in Germany but via internet we found a Dutch product also offered by Sanisale in Heerlen which is within a reasonable distance from our home. And it is nice that many Dutch shops are opened on Sundays. So we made a Sunday trip to the Netherlands to have a look on this small Dutch fontaine. What a surprise when entering Sanisale in Heerlen. We expected only one product, but there was a big number of many different small fontaines. A real paradise of small fontaines. We were extremely well adviced by a friendly sales expert and have found with ink Skyscraper the perfect fontaine for our renovated small guest clean room. We have been given excellent service and a very fair price and therefore strongly recommend this shop. For sure We would come back if needing sanitaire products again.

Avoid Sanisale: Months of Lies, Delays, and Defective Products

I normally don’t write long reviews, but my experience with Sanisale Leiderdorp has been so frustrating, dishonest, and unprofessional that I feel obligated to warn others.

Order details:

Bathtub tap, purchased and fully paid for on 22 March 2025.

Washbasin drawer, purchased at the same time.

What happened:

At the time of purchase, I was explicitly promised delivery within 4 weeks. Based on this, I scheduled my contractor.

Later, Sanisale suddenly claimed the colour was not in stock, and that delivery would take 6 weeks instead.

To “solve” the problem, they temporarily installed a completely different, mismatched tap from another brand. They promised that once the correct tap arrived, they would send their own contractor to properly install it — including drilling for the hand shower (since the temporary brand required adjustments). I made it clear that my contractor would no longer be available, and they assured me this was not a problem.

After the 6 weeks passed, the product was still not available. After that, they ignored me for weeks (“ghosted” me) despite repeated follow-ups.

Only in August 2025, after chasing them aggressively, they said installation would finally be possible after 15 August.

On 19 August 2025, a technician arrived — but he was not informed properly, did not bring the bore machine needed for the hand shower, and said he was only told to replace the tap (crane). This was not what had been agreed.

Washbasin drawer:

The washbasin drawer also does not work properly. It is supposed to move on its own, but it doesn’t.

Despite asking multiple times for help, the only support I received was a YouTube video, which was completely useless. To this day, the product is defective and unresolved.

Their reply to my complaint:

Instead of fixing the issues, Sanisale sent me an email saying:

They “don’t like the way I talked” on the phone.

They “have the right to delay the order at least 2 times.”

They claim they “don’t have to install anything” in my bathroom — even though they themselves promised to send their own contractor since the substitute tap required adjustments.

They decided to simply “close the case” and wished me “good luck with your new bathroom.”

Why this matters:

This is a textbook example of:

Broken promises

False assurances at the point of sale

Repeated delays and excuses

Failure to deliver within the legally required period (30 days, unless agreed otherwise)

Refusal to take responsibility

Dismissive attitude toward the customer

Under Dutch consumer law (Civil Code Art. 7:17 and 7:21), a product must conform to the contract. A substitute, mismatched tap and a defective washbasin drawer do not conform. They failed to deliver on time, failed to repair or replace, and then tried to brush me off with arrogance.

My conclusion:

Sanisale has shown:

Zero accountability.

Zero professionalism.

Zero respect for the customer.

If you are considering buying from them — be very careful. Ask yourself if you want to risk months of delays, defective products, empty promises, and then being told “we close the case” when things go wrong.

I will also be escalating this case to ConsuWijzer, ACM, and De Geschillencommissie.

⚠️ Do not make the same mistake I did — avoid Sanisale!

A shop not for expats, bad experience and unfriendly staff

We chose this bathroom shop due to its high online ratings and the availability of a specific wavy tile pattern we liked. Unfortunately, our experience didn’t reflect the ratings.

The staff lacked product knowledge and was unable to support us without frequent help from her colleagues, leading to long delays. We had to restart the process with a manager, which wasted time. The recommended installers did a poor job — the tiling was uneven and had to be redone. While the shop did provide replacement tiles quickly, the issue should have been avoided.

A later visit to buy a matching toilet was also disappointing. Despite having an appointment, we received little assistance and were asked to return another time. Again, the manager had to step in. The manager did help us to resolve a few issues and also contacted us proactively.

By the way: The staff could hardly speak English, so my husband had to translate for me. It also felt like she wasn’t willing to serve expat customers. This is definitely not a shop for expats.

After leaving a 1-star review, the shop contacted us multiple times asking us to change it, raising concerns about the reliability of their online rating. Based on our experience, we cannot recommend this shop.

Extremely disappointing

Extremely disappointing. If you are looking for a job well done, attention to details and a stress free bathroom renovation, avoid Sanisale! We started the renovation of our bathroom mid March. We were promised a 3 weeks time renovation, instead it ended up being months. We are now in the beginning of June and we are still not done! They managed to miscalculate the tiles amount two times. The most annoying part of this is the lack of proper communication from their side. Zero proactiveness and clearness. We invested quite some money in this project and after months and months what we have is stress, extra costs and and an unfinished bathroom. The small compensation they offered, is totally not worth the stress and frustration of having to keep chasing them for answers. Do yourself a favor and pick another place. (Location Utrecht).

We are delighted with the whole experience!

We cannot speak highly enough about sanisale.com in Hilversum and all the staff there especially Frank Schut. This is now the 2nd time we order bathroom materials from them because we had such a good feeling after the first experience. Everything about the process went seamlessly and they really took the time to understand what we wanted and advised also if they felt there were better options. The team spirit there is really strong so the vibe from the moment you walk in is positive and helpful. Everything delivered on time and as expected. I mean what else could you ask for? These days this is not a given by any means and we have had some bad experiences at other places but keep doing what you are doing sanisale and team because you are setting the perfect example of how it should be and putting the customer first.

Sanisale Spijkenisse: a job well done !

We purchased two complete bathrooms and a small toilet at Sanisale Spijkenisse. Yasim was very helpful in composing the bathrooms in the style we envisioned and selecting the right materials for that style. He took all the time we needed and although eager to close the deal, he was not pushy.

The bathrooms were installed by a contractor via Sanisale. Even though all restrictions because of Covid-19, the team was able to install and deliver the bathrooms and toilets within the agreed timeframe (and quality) - although I must admit that responses to questions were a bit slow some times.

We are very happy with the results of this project.

Very satisfied.

We purchased a complete bathroom at Sanisale Eindhoven. During our first visit we were just browsing and could look at everything in our own time. After we decided we wanted to get an offer from them, a new visit was planned. During this second visit we had full attention of our salesperson. He took plenty of time helping us with designing our new bathroom. He was very clear about options we chose which might end up being a bit more expensive than the ones he suggested, so we wouldn't have a nasty surprise when we got the actual offer.

After everything was sorted out and we agreed on a price, he got into contact with an installer to check if our preferred installation date was possible. When that was all agreed upon he asked us to sign the offer. We were clearly informed about what we could expect from Sanisale and what we should handle ourselves with our installer.

Delivery of the materials was a bit later than expected, we had hoped to receive everything on a Monday but that turned out to be Thursday. A small disappointment but nothing serious. A few things could not be delivered because of supplier issues relating to COVID-19. That was properly communicated before delivery and we were given some good alternatives. We chose to just wait for the missing parts, since none of them were essential for installing the new bathroom.

We had one incorrect item delivered and found out we ourselves ordered one item incorrectly. We had a short talk about this and we're very confidant this will be handled quickly and properly.

We're in the middle of installing the new bathroom right now and things are progressing nicely. We look forward to our new bathroom!

Thanks to Mehdi and his team at Sanisale and Robin and his team at Robin Tegelwerken. We're very satisfied with both and appreciate the pleasant and clear communication.

Sanisale Spijkenisse

We purchased a complete bathroom and a downstairs toilet at Sanisale Spijkenisse. The service went well and we were very happy with our products also with respect to the proportion of quality and price.

1 year later the bathroom had to be installed. We planned this on a certain date and it was confirmed with Sanisale Spijkenisse a few times. It turned out that they erroneously planned us two weeks earlier. Since, the date we planned was not available anymore they had to install the bathroom right away. At first we were a bit hesitant but they were very flexible. Wesley helped / guided us through all our questions at any point of time.

They installed the bathroom and toilet within two weeks and the end result is just amazing. We are very happy with our bathroom / toilet and would definitely recommend Sanisale Spijkenisse. A special thanks to Alec who installed this amazing bathroom / toilet.

-We purchased a full shower unit just over 1 year ago with a 3 to 10 year warrenty. The unit was faulty on delivery, and had to be repaired in several ways. After they left the shower was leaking, and doors would not stay on, scratches to the shower unit as well.

-Repaired leak as it seemed the wrong fitting had been used.. Waited for other repairs, several repairs later, doors still needed to be fitted properly, as they had the wrong one fitted. After several weeks this was replaced.

-Several weeks later scratches etc replaced.

-After a few months the doors started to loosen again, they replaced one door, new runners. sealant noticed to be turning black

-Recently the thermostat stops working properly and can not be turned, sealent. company refuses at first to take issue, store manager at Zaandam refused to help and said we would have to pay to replace thermostat and sealent.

-Lawyer involved, after several days, told thermostat can be replace but we have to do it ourselves and replace sealent at our own costs for the sealent- 195 euros for sealent and more for the thermostat.

-Lawyer states laws to store manager. Sanisale refuses its own guarentee until the lawyer points out purchasing laws and there own warrant they advertise.

- Lawyer sens a ‘notice of default’, or ‘ingebrekestelling’, to Sanisale.com (this is necessary under Dutch Law to give them the opportunity to fix the defaults)

- The door and thermostat We advised if Sanisale was not willing to repair and replace anything they would be in ‘verzuim’ (‘default’). Then it was possible for me to either claim compensation or terminate the agreement.

- Arranged for the thermostate to be fitted for free, but quoted 195 euros (this takes around 20 minutes, told by Sanisale I am lucky as they usually charge more) to have the sealent removed and replaced. Lawyer offers to pay as its cheaper than court.

- Due to a communication mix up (my fault) we missed there engineer to replace thermostat. Now charged 95 euros for a missed appointment, paid same day. Told now they will return 23rd Decemeber. But then told that we have to pay the 195 before the appointment, and given a few days to do this. So basicly being blackmailed by the company because they are annoyed at being forced to do the work and follow there own policies.

Tried to find out who the owner of Sanisale is as they are all franchises. Impossible to find a headoffice, or a contact to make a complain only the branch managers, who from our experiance dont want to help, just take your money when you buy, and try to charge you for everything else in the future if there is a fault.

in Short the Zaandam branch. The manager is rude, arrogant, and does not follow there own promises. As for the fitting company, now turning into robbers most likely because of Sanisale Zaandam.

Under no circumstance should you use this comany

Terrible service. They do not deliver what you paid. They charge, and give you no updates on whats happening.

You have to call them to get the update, only to be told no the we dont have this product in stock.

When they replaced the thermostat we were told that we were not turning the thermostat tap enough, and thats why it stopped working. When I took the old thermostat which i still have it is rusted in many places around the outside, this is a cheap and poor product, using what seems to be the cheapest material metal instead of stainless steel.

This company is a sham. there have many negative reviews on this site about them, and when mentioned they do not care, check with your friends before using Sanisale, to see what they say!

I had to delay this review until they had been and repaired my shower as there was a threat that if I did not they would not repair the shower........ Would you use a company that says this?

Ive written this so that a member of the senior management at Sanisale can see whats happening, and to hopfully train not just there local store here to me but also to make sure this very poor experiance does not happen to any other customers. Also to there customers to show that actually you do have legal rights, and dont accept the first brush off by this company.

Great products and service!

Thanks Dev from SaniSale Tilburg for the great service!! From the moment we set foot in the store the service has been great, both during the purchase and in answering our follow-up questions afterwards. Upon delivery unfortunately two items were missing (which is the only reason we gave 4 stars instead of 5), yet as soon as we mentioned this the missing items were immediately sent to our address. Additionally, we did not order enough tiles and needed new tiles the next day: Dev made this happen! We even received compliments about the product quality from our contractor, we will absolutely shop here again next time (though I am sure this won’t be for many more years, until then we will enjoy our brand new bathroom)!

Excellent service and flexibility

It was our first experience with SaniSale Amstelveen, and the results were very positive; we were in the process of building a new bathroom in or home. The attention and professionalism that we got from Sylvester Hoogenboezem was always fantastic; giving us always the best options for our needs and advising on many possibilities to have a better layout of the bathroom.
Overall we are very satisfied with the attention, service and especially their flexibility, in addition to this the store has a wide range of options to select with a good price and the times of delivery are very accurate.
