As an HR professional who currently manages a graduate and school leaver recruitment programme, I was keen to observe how this company handled their candidate process when a family member applied for a school leaver role in insurance.

Unfortunately, his experience fell well below professional standards for the following reasons:
First Interview: Cancelled at very short notice. My son had already missed an A-level revision session to attend, demonstrating his commitment to the opportunity. The lack of consideration for a student candidate's time was concerning.
Second Interview: Conducted by phone with me nearby! The interviewer appeared to simply read questions from a script with no follow-up, probing, or genuine engagement with responses. There was no attempt to explore my son's answers in depth or create meaningful dialogue. This felt like a box-ticking exercise rather than a genuine assessment of potential.

I had a great experience with Sanctuary Graduates. The recruitment process was smooth and well-organized, with clear and timely communication. The team was professional and offered valuable guidance at every stage, which helped me prepare thoroughly and confidently for each part of the selection process. This company in my opinion is the worst headhunter you could ever partner up with, with some good names like Baillie Gifford and Schroders, I would give no credit selecting Sanctuary Graduates as a partner. There is virtually no response from any of their members through email, their 'job application' requirements are blurry and students are usually confused to what they are applying. Terrible company, terrible service and broadly speaking, the worst headhunter or talent pipeline provider you could find in the UK!
