For instance, if there is something missing in the property then Samtrygg would advise you to contact police. Whereas, Samtrygg charges handsome amount every month just to advise you same points which a layman already knows. Not recommended at All

Came to Sweden a year ago for a job contract and rented an apartment from someone via this agency.
First of all, nobody did a move-in or move-out inspection with me, to take the notice of any damage that already was in the apartment by the time of moving in. This has to be done as per the contract, but was not carried out.

A couple of months into the renting, very strange calls and messages started from the property owner, who turned out to be residing abroad. Claiming she had lost her ID and money, she was asking me to pay her plane tickets and take some kind of loan in her name (to which I said no), then said she was going to come to stay with me in a one-bedroom apartment for two weeks starting 'tomorrow', to which I refused as well.

Samtrygg, when this was reported to them, did not react.

More strange behaviour followed closer to the end of the contract, with threats from the said landlady, and again to no reaction from Samtrygg upon report. Understandably enough, I wanted no further communication with this person. I moved out from the apartment at the end of the contract, paid for the official cleanup arranged by the agency and left the keys in the postal box for pick-up.

Being a foreign citizen, I had to pay two months' rent as deposit, which is a considerable sum. According to Samtrygg, the property owner is supposed to conduct an inspection together with me, and produce a paper that states the property is in acceptable state. After this the deposit is returned.

Of course, since the property owner currently resides in India, no such thing has been done. Samtrygg have stated they contacted the owner multiple times. It doesn't seem like there has been any progress on the matter over a month since I have moved out.

I seriously doubt I will ever see the deposit money again - perhaps the local institution called Kronofogden will have to assist in the matter to make it happen.

I would say the agency is bad for both tenants and landlords, since no official inspection is actually done at the beginning and end of the contract. Also, in case of suspicious behavior from either end, the agency does little to investigate and/or mediate.

Do not recommend.

Is the only company with i could really find an house without being scared of fraud. I've been looking and subscribe to others website to rent houses before samtrygg and most of them were a scam or nobody replied. Also the language which you can choose between english or swedish for an expact make everything easier. Thank you for your great customer service and everything.

The way team is connecting the tenant and landlord. May be one suggestion is to have a step to include Association Approval before the Contract preparation would help a lot clear
