Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Considering 43 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many customers expressed significant dissatisfaction with recent software updates, finding them to be detrimental to their phone's functionality and user experience. People reported numerous issues, including rapid battery drain, apps not working correctly, and difficulties with basic phone operations like transferring photos or restarting the device. The updates were often described as making the phones nearly useless, with some even considering switching brands despite being long-time users. Reviewers also highlighted frustrating changes to the user interface, such as altered layouts, smaller icons, and awkward navigation for settings and notifications. Some people mentioned issues with specific features like the camera not working properly, problems with predictive text, and the forced integration of unwanted applications. The overall sentiment was that the updates complicated usage rather than improving it, leading to a less intuitive and more frustrating experience for many.

Only 1 star as I can't give 0

Only 1 star as I can't give 0. The latest update is awful. Script sizes are tiny on my folder page and cant see the contents of the folders on the night background, the palates of colour thing is useless, pastel! Can't get my clock figures to white without changing my much loved background photo.
Battery icon is a waste of time, but new update does seem to use more battery with this version. My list of issues is long.
Seems to have been designed without any
though to the user functionality, a because we can and look at my tech skills design.
If Samsung read any of these.. take away,
THIS UPGRADE IS RUBBISH

Worst Update ever

Honestly cannot believe why the designers thought the most recent update was an improvement. The design is dreadful and drawing down home screen far more difficult. Moving search bars completely unnecessary and brings nothing to the party. Would love to revert back to previous version.

Terrible update!

All I ask is to revert to the previous version! The last update is awful!
If there is a way, someone please tell me! If this is the future for Samsung software, why keep buying Samsung phones?

Worst software update I'm historu

The latest software update is the biggest load of rubbish ever received from Samsung......from widgets such as basics on clock not being available and working to changes not being able to vlear messages sent to the dreadful new sounds which ignore the settings previously created and unreadable new displays and icons for things like battery power levels. Who in their right minds would have made such a set of graphic and display option changes that are good in principle but unusable in practice? Think twice now if you are looking at moving to Samsung

Last Samsung update sucks

Last Samsung update sucks! Changed the whole lay-out + settings and looks awful... Huge step back from what it was. It looks like they let an intern design it: very kiddie and unprofressional.
Example: in screenlock mode, the clock is now visible as
09
05
instead of 09:05
Can't think of any reason why people would want that.
Also my battery is draining like crazy!!!
So not happy with Samsung right now.

I have had a TBI

I have had a TBI, Traumatic Brain Injury. Change is challenging. When I figure something out. Then I'm good. The recent fiasco update by Samsung has convinced me to never purchase anything made by them. I could never of imagined a more intrusive, dictatorial, misconstrued, theft than 7 did anybody at Samsung even think before forcing this monstrosity down our throats. I tried to go to the store for help, none of them like it either. I didn't like it before the upgrade, now it's a piece of....

Samsung has just completed an update…

Samsung has just completed an update that has to be one of the worst yet. I don't understand why they have to redesign everything. I now have one inch of empty space on the top of my screen of my phone. I can't put anything there, it has caused everything to look shrunken down. Not to mention changing what the apps look like. Stop appeasing change for the sake of change!

Customers will be lost

My whole family have nothing but iphones. For the last 15 yrs I have said I will never be an iPhone user til now. Half of the changes they made like app size, moving the search bar to the bottom, pulling the screen down for your setting the should have left alone. The the drain on the battery now we not going to talk about that. I look at it like this give people the option do not force it on them or you will lost your customers. That new iPhone looking real good are now.

UI7 is annoying.

UI7 is annoying.
It has changed all my settings (on S24+) and tried to be like iphone.
It looks too bubbly and have to use 2 hands to hold and reach across to the notification swipe.
Not happy!

Awful and ugly UI after update.

Awful and ugly UI after update.
So many things are weirder and harder to use. Even worse, it allows for less item size customisation in the main screens.
Awful battery indicator.
It is a mess. I like Android, not apple.

Worst update in history

Worst update in history. Those new features drain the battery. Separate pull down bar totally sucks. I was able to change that back. The search bar at the bottom is completely STUPID. The close all apps button is down there too. So if you are needing to look something up while in another app you either close them all and disconnect or it closes while you are scrolling to bottom to get to search bar. Not all apps have that extra hold open option that's a pain to use anyway. Can't use 2 step verification to log in on some things because some apps close for security reason while you are scrolling to get the one time password. I got locked out of an app because I had to start over so many times. Who ever thought scrolling through hundreds of apps to get to search bar was easier than just touching a magnifying glass in the pull down needs to go back to school or get therapy. You should have tested this change on regular people before making this catastrophe. You have got to know how bad these changes were. Some things are ok. But others you got to do something better.
