Great experience

I appreciated the extra care and concern to help me select a different frame which could accommodate my prescription. The results were great. I recommend this company.

Glasses great, customer service not

Ordered a pair of Oakley prescription sunglasses on the phone. I was told it would take 7-10 days for Oakley to make them then Salt City would inspect and send them to me. After 3 weeks I called to check the status of the order. At this time I was told Oakley was taking 2-3 weeks not 7-10 days but the customer service rep would contact Oakley and send me an email update. Never heard a thing back. I ordered these sunglasses more then a month ahead of a planned trip to Hawaii and finally received them the week after we returned from the trip. Wouldn't have placed the order with Salt City if I had known the actual time it would take to get the glasses.

Fresh N Easy!!!

Just got my safety prescripion glasses and I completely love them. I was very hesitant to get glasses online, this was my first time and won't be my last from SCO. Very easy step by step ordering process and quick order completion. I am already looking into my next pair of glasses, thank you for being awesome!!!

Worst experience i've ever had.

This is the first review i've ever written. This company messed up my order TWICE. After MONTHS of waiting for a time sensitive order which they knew about. To make it worse they wouldn't return phone calls to even keep me posted on the status. I finally cancelled my order all together.

Good price, but lacked communication...

I like Salt City but I want to know whats going on with my purchase. I ordered some Oakley sun glass lens' and I had expected for there to be a long wait time. However there was no communication on the progress of my order. I had only received a confirmation email and then preceded to wait a month until they arrived.

Terrible Customer Service

As with many others, my order took nearly five weeks to arrive, rather than the 8-10 days they advertise. Seems not to matter whether Smith, Oakley, Ray Ban other, per previous reviewers, so the excuse that it's the manufacturer's problem seems to ring slightly hollow. Add to which, I had to continually track down info, rather than having anyone keep me updated.

The glasses themselves are great. Satisfied with the optics quality. But a five week wait and offering nothing back to try to soften the excessive wait and lack of communication, other than a small discount off a future purchase... Have all my Rx needs filled now, so it's an empty gesture trying to get me to go through the waiting process again.

Horrendous Customer Service

I made my order, was told my product would be here in 10-14 days. After 17 days I reached out to Salt City Optics, they told me Smith hadn't sent them the frames yet and they would reach out to Smith. A few days later I reach out to Salt City again and same story. I try and push the issue to tell them to get Smith to send them the frames. They keep telling me it is Smith's fault. I decide to take matters into my own hands and contact Smith, they tell me Salt City has not contacted them about the order. Finally I got a hold of someone at Salt City who was helpful and went to his CEO to speak with the CEO of Smith and then it got done. All in all, a 2 week order took about 5 weeks and I got the run around the entire time.

Got nearly every part of the process wrong

My experience with Salt City optics was far less than satisfactory. The beginning of the ordering process was promising as you were the only site I found that had the exact sunglasses I wanted and they were available in the frame color and prescription that I needed. I thought it was a home run. I placed the order for the gunmetal RB 3506. Turns out I inputted the prescription wrong, Trea fixed it for me and got the order placed on August 25th. I remember reading on the website it usually takes 7-10 days for lab construction and another 3-5 to ship. No big deal, willing to wait. That 7-10 days went by and so did the 3-5 business days for shipping. I thought, hmm, I better call. Called and talked to someone who said "oh yeah, they broke those frames while installing the lens and we had to order a new pair and are waiting on them from Ray Ban/ Luxottica". I thought, that would have been nice to know before me calling in and having to wonder. I mean you have my phone number and email. I asked that CSR to have notes put on the account to inform me and maybe keep me up to date if anything changes. Another week goes by, me waiting patiently, and nothing from Salt City Optics. No shipping confirmation email, no glasses in the mailbox, and no phone call or email. I call again, talk to another CSR who looked at the account saw we were waiting on frames and he put me on hold to talk to someone in the lab. He comes back from the lab and tells me he can't find anyone and they must have went out for a cup of coffee? He says he will find them and call me back in 15 minutes at the most. I agreed and waited on the call. It never came, 6 hours later I called back, talked to another CSR and told him about the neglect of the previous CSR to call me back and I was still curious about my order. At this point, I was really starting to wonder if I was even talking to a real company. This CSR was a little more informative and told me he requested an update from Luxottica and usually they hear back within 24 hours. I said "great" can you email or call me when you know when the frames will be in just so I know. He said "sure, I will put notes on the account". Which he may have done, but I never received a call or email I actually just happen to see the ship notification in my email a few days later. To which I thought, FINALLY! Tracking information was sent with it which is always nice, go to check the tracking # to see how long until they arrive, tracking # does not work! A small nuisance, but still a nuisance piled on top of the rest of the story. So, I email asking for a good tracking #, My reply came a day late and stated that the sunglasses were delivered. Awesome! This saga of my prescription sunglasses has come to an end 1 month and 4 days later, I thought. Pretty excited to get them out of the box and try them, I open the box and pull them out and the frames are a brownish purple color, not gunmetal. They are actually a color that is not even listed on the website I ordered them from! How in the world does all this happen to one customer? I really am in such disbelief at how this happens. Now, I am faced with the issue of returning them and maybe having glasses by Thanksgiving.

It is perfect, Rx Sunglasses

Was a little worried when I placed the order because of the RX, thought maybe there was a possibility they came out wrong...
HOWEVER, Super nice app that tracks the development, Got them within 10 days, Rx was PERFECT...
Placed an order on the same model of Rx sunglasses to have a spare, overall it came out $100 under the price I payed at a Optic Store.

Will use again for sure.

The only thing Is make sure the color of the frame, their pics are not very defined (at least in my case, Nike Brazens).. my current is Black mate, there was only black, so I thought they would be the same, but got a Glossy ugly pair.... but that's not what this review is about :)
