We bought Salt & Stone deodorant, and within less than a month, it completely damaged our clothes. The oils from the deodorant left very visible stains that won’t come out, making several items u... See more

Review edited, 1 star to 3 stars - Order Finally Shipped.
After contacting the company six times, I finally received helpful support. Following that, the items were delivered promptly and I was also offered a full refund.
I’m not sure whether this was due to the PayPal Resolution Centre or the company itself, but the issue was eventually resolved.
The reason I am still rating the company three stars is that my friend’s birthday was yesterday, and I had to purchase an alternative gift. Additionally, the entire experience was unnecessarily stressful.
That said, I do appreciate the resolution in the end. I hope the customer service at Salt & Stone improves so they can receive more positive reviews in the future.

(previous review)
I placed my order eight days ago, and it has still not shipped. Despite contacting the company more than five times through their only available customer service channel—the “info” email address—I have received no meaningful support or resolution.
The responses I received were generic statements about their shipping policy. I was told they had contacted their fulfilment centre, yet no one has reached out to me directly, and there has been no update on my order. There appears to be no accountability and no real customer support structure in place.
Having £124 tied up with no shipment, no clear communication, and no timeline is unacceptable. A company that cannot provide basic customer service cannot be considered trustworthy.
I strongly advise others to think twice before purchasing from this business. I am now prepared to escalate this matter to the appropriate consumer protection authorities if it is not resolved promptly.
Treated myself to the complete line
Treated myself to the deodorant, body cream, body wash, body spray in December 2025. Here it is February 12, 2026 and all have NO SCENT what so ever. They all had a pleasant soft cedar flower like scent when I first received. I wasted well over $150. The positive reviews must be paid customer service reps who answered emails about concerns. I am going back to Clinique Airomatics! And the wasted so call scent was Saffron & Cedar.
I love these deodorants
I love these deodorants. They smell fantastic and I feel confident using them . I get no discomfort and skin allergy I get with many products . Thank you
Body wash. Body hogwash!
Ordered a body wash a week ago. Haven’t had any notification or update whatsoever of when I can expect my product. Sent an email asking for an update and heard nothing in response. Rubbish! Won’t be buying from this company again.
UPDATE… since writing and posting this, I had a response in seconds. They have replied saying it looks like order was lost in transit and they will be sending out a replacement. I shall update as/when/if/ I receive my product …
I'm mindblown by the other reviews
I'm mindblown by the other reviews. The Santal body wash and deodorant are the only scent I use and it mixes well with my body chemistry. I live in Florida and need a deodorant that works and this does the job. I've been using it for like 3 years now.
Body mist spray has poor longevity no…
Body mist spray has poor longevity no one notices it at all, I’ve started using it as a car refresher when someone jumps in instead! That’s about all it’s good for.
I’ve tried the deodorant, body wash and creams all disappointing really.
Completely misleading discount offer…
Completely misleading discount offer which didn't work. Free shipping promised for orders over $50 - but that isn't applied either. I don't hold out much hope that I will ever see the merchandise I paid for. Frankly, I think the company is a scam
Not worth the hype
There Saffon & Cedar body mist smells cheap and isn't what I thought at all. Don't waste your money this is jyst more influencer BS
All hype-hype boo-ray
I seem to have discovered what others have said about its staying power but would also add that the deodorant, the santal & verifier in particular turns to an acrid, chemical smell only hours after applying. It transfers this smell to clothing as well. The bergamot and hinoki has even less scent staying power and effectiveness for preventing underarm smell/perspiration. Also found that the santal & vetiver body spray which smells great upon opening has little lasting scent and within a few weeks of opening the bottle only retains hints of its initial scent and less desirable base notes are most apparent now - kinda like your shirt smells in the laundry hamper when you forget to do the laundry for a week.
If salt & stone spent as much money on…
If salt & stone spent as much money on their product as the do on advertising they would have a winner. While the product smells good it has no lasting power, so renders its self useless, not good value for money lastly the spray- not bad until you get midway then the spary stops working properly again more money spent on adverts than quality spray bottle top. No wouldnt buy again until they improved the value for money and product..Mary.
Doesn’t work
Wanted to love this deodorant but it’s the only time in my 46 years of life I seem to consistently have terrible b.o - it’s so embarrassing . I literally smell better when I use nothing.
Disappointing service
I was looking forward to receiving my first order of salt and stone saffron and cedar collection. I placed my order and approximately 24 hours later received an email with a 20% off discount offer. My order had not even shipped yet… I reached out to the support team to request that the 20% off be honoured is not only my order had not been shipped but of course I haven’t received it yet. They told me they were not able to honour it because that is their policy. In which case I just cancelled my Order. I was considering ordering with the 20% off… But the poor Customer Service has left me extremely disappointed with the company service level. I will not be re-ordering.
Not the only company out there
I have been using Salt and Stone for over a year. I messaged the company to see if I could add a one time deodorant to try it to my subscription. They flatly said no that I would have to make 2 purchases, 2 shipping fees. I kindly canceled my subscription and vowed never to use Salt and Stone again. Hope the 1000. Or more products not purchased were worth it over a shipping fee.
I bought the trial mini size set
I bought the trial mini size set. All the scents are lovely and consistency is nice. However, unfortunately it is not working on me at all. In fact, it is the first time in my 45 year old life, I smell.
Absolutely avoid this brand at all…
Absolutely avoid this brand at all costs!
I purchased a body spray that leaked all over my £1,000 dining table, completely staining the wood. When I contacted customer care about their faulty product, they responded with nothing but useless legal jargon and attitude. Their token £30 refund did absolutely nothing to resolve the damage or take accountability. Shockingly poor service and a complete disregard for customers — I will never buy from this brand again. If I could give no stars I would. The body spray didn’t even smell nice ..
Unscupulous company with no morals or customer care
I placed an order but realised I had ordered the wrong item. I emailed the next day to ask them to change it but the company claimed it had already been processed.
Upon receipt of the order I initiated a returns process and was given an RA number. I returned it via Royal Mail on 19 August at a cost of £4.20, with the RA number and my details enclosed as requested by them. RM tracking confirmed it had been delivered a couple of days later, so I discarded the postage receipt.
I realised retrospectively I had neither received a refund or a replacement (I requested a replacement product during the returns process as they charge a restocking fee, meaning I would only be refunded £15.00 instead of the full £20.00). I reached out to the company who stated they could not process a refund until the item had been returned to their warehouse. I explained it had been, and they asked for the RM tracking number despite having been previoulsy informed I no longer had it.
So somewhere along the line, Salt and Stone received an item back, disregarded the enclosed details they requested, kept my money and no doubt resold the returned item.
Exercise caution before buying from them. I will never purchase either from them or their products from other distributers again. Their products are ok but not that special.
UPDATE - 01.10.25
Following a further email to the company they responded advising they have processed a full refund. They have also advised they will send a replacement product to make up for the inconvenience.
This has restored my faith in the company.
Deodorant does not work
I bought the deodorant mini set to try, the different fragrances are all perfectly nice but fundamentally a 1 star review as the product does not work! I have tried the santal and vetiver for a few days now, and my armpits smell awful after a few hours of general activity, the initial pleasant fragrance does not last long after applying and leaves marks on clothing. Wish I had looked at the reviews before purchasing, hoping this helps others...
Poor customer service and awful items
Wish I’d looked at the review ratings before ordering. Emailed last week regarding a return and still have not had a reply. I also messaged on social media a few days later but nothing on there either. The dusky pink deodorant was absolutely disgusting and made my teen daughter smell horrendous (not the item I wanted to return though as I knew they wouldn’t accept a used item). Poor customer service and awful items
Game changer in deodorant for menopause.…
I absolutely love the santal and vetiver deodorant. Unfortunately due to menopause I've tried so many others that DO NOT work. But this is a game changer. I smell fresh all day even after the gym which is a miracle in itself. I really don't understand the negative reviews as im 59 and can honestly say I've tried them all and this stuff really works. Thank you for this product its a life changer for me after years of being disappointed. Also I can't believe how long one lasts! 8 months for £20 is amazing.
Broken Deodorant & Useless Customer Service
I used to be a regular customer of Salt & Stone, but after this experience I’m done with them. My deodorant stick crumbled halfway through using it, not at the very end but while there was still a lot left, so I couldn’t even finish it. I reached out to customer service thinking they’d make it right.
Instead, Avery from their team told me they could only give me a 10% discount code for another order, and brushed it off since my purchase was last year. That’s not customer service, that’s just pushing me to spend more money. A discount code doesn’t replace a product I couldn’t use.
It’s clear Salt & Stone doesn’t stand behind their products or care about keeping loyal customers. If they call themselves a premium brand, the service should match. What I got instead was wasted money, frustration, and the feeling that once they have your money, you’re on your own.
I’ll be posting this everywhere so people know how Salt & Stone really treats customers. Very disappointed, and I’m done with this brand for good.
