★☆☆☆☆ Interested in Buying Until the Customer Interaction ★☆☆☆☆
I was considering purchasing a complete set from Saint Cobes after discovering the brand on Instagram. The products looked well presented, the packaging appeared premium, and I was genuinely interested in making a purchase.
Before spending my money, I did what I normally do with any brand I am considering: I researched it. While I found content produced by Saint Cobes themselves, I struggled to find independent customer reviews, unboxings, demonstrations, or videos from actual customers using the products.
As a potential customer, this raised concerns for me. I left a comment on one of Saint Cobes' Instagram posts explaining that the lack of independent customer content was the main thing preventing me from completing a purchase.
The responses I received did not address my concern in a way that gave me confidence to proceed. Instead, the interaction felt defensive and dismissive of genuine customer feedback.
Following the exchange, I spent more time researching the brand. I noticed that the Instagram account dates back several years, with the earliest visible posts appearing long before the company information I later found online. I also noticed that a significant number of older posts on the account were personal and unrelated to the brand. As a customer trying to understand the business, this added further confusion rather than confidence.
My intention was never to criticize the products themselves. In fact, I have never purchased a Saint Cobes product, so I cannot comment on the quality, performance, or value of what they sell.
What I can comment on is my experience as a potential customer.
After the Instagram exchange, I tagged the CEO in the conversation in the hope that my feedback might be seen from a customer perspective. The conversation stopped there.
I then reached out directly to the CEO via LinkedIn with a respectful message explaining my concerns and why I had decided not to proceed with a purchase.
To date, I have not received any acknowledgement or response to either my final Instagram comment or my LinkedIn message.
As a result, I choose to not spend my money on Saint Cobes.
This review is based solely on my pre-purchase experience, customer interaction, and the complete lack of response that followed.
