I contacted Sagely Health in the spring of 2024, when I was diagnosed with prostate cancer. The team immediately made me feel that "I am not alone". As the journey of a cancer patient can be terrifying, Dr. Sager and his team (Connor, Jeremy, Elle) were a steady-hand. They guided me through my interaction with doctors, and peppered me with points to pay attention to. They referred me to 3 different centers, two of which are conducting clinical trials that are relevant to my case.
As the journey continues, the Sagely Health team is following up and staying in the loop. They are my go-to sounding board. I recommend them without any reservation to any cancer patient.

Dr. Sager has provided me with outstanding medical expertise, compassionate care, as well as scientific knowledge and treatment since September 2019.
When my rare cancer, aggressive basal cell, traveled to my lymph nodes, Dr. Sager found and conferred with an oncologist and surgical oncologist at MSK on my behalf to address my situation.
After consulting with these doctors, Dr. Sager found a clinical trial at Johns Hopkins that had the potential to shrink or eliminate my tumor without surgery, without devastating side effects. After six months of treatment, my tumor remained unchanged. Covid was intensifying. Dr. Sager had the foresight to realize hospitals might shut down. Dr. Sager swung into action, and I was scheduled for surgery. The surgeon Dr. Sager found was outstanding. Not only was her surgical ability top notch, but she was compassionate and provided excellent follow up care. Dr. Sager continues to consult with my surgeon on my behalf, and both still monitor my progress. Without Dr. Sager I would never have found this surgeon, I never would have known to do Genetic testing, or Natara blood tests. Without Dr. Sager and his scientific team I might not be here today.

I’ve learned from painful past experience (my mother died of lung cancer) that the prejudices, preferences, and limitations of whatever healthcare system you find yourself in make “the fight against cancer” so much harder than it needs to be.

When my father was diagnosed with bladder cancer last year, I vowed that his journey would not be a repeat of my mother’s or my sister-in-law’s. And so I hired Dr. Jason Sager, M.D., at Sagely Health. It was the best decision I ever made: it saved my father’s life.

The healthcare system is replete with dedicated, over-worked doctors and other healthcare professionals, all doing the best that they can in an imperfect system: a system that requires patients to conform, instead of adapting itself to their needs; a system that is a minefield to navigate; a system in which it is impossible for a layperson to evaluate whether the advised course of action is the right thing to do—or even whether it’s necessary at all.
