Paul helped us through our refinance and was extremely patient throughout the entire process. He went above and beyond, getting creative to help move things across the finish line smoothly.

Smooth end to end process
Great software to track end to end. And all officers are very responsive and on time.
As a Robinhood gold member
As a Robinhood gold member, the opportunity to work with Sage Home Loans was created. They worked with me to find the best refinancing during a challenge market. They worked quickly and efficiently to make the application a breeze. The underwriting was not too bad either, that can normally be the place where loans die. But they did a great job also. I would use them again!
The rate made them stand out
The rate made them stand out, but the process was mostly smooth. I still think it's wild that underwriters don't expect you to move money in your account week to week.

Paul Grady was very helpful at explaining the loan process to me as a first time home purchase. He responded quickly and helped keep everything organized.
Brad was very very helpful
Great first time homeowner experience
Sage homeloans easily got me the lowest rate on the market through the Robinhood partnership. Also, Alex was extremely helpful through the process and the portal makes it easy to keep track of your next steps. Would highly recommend to a first time home buyer!
Helpful - somewhat inefficient with title company though
Helpful - somewhat inefficient with title company though - you would really ace it if you officiated documentation centrally instead of handing off to other team so that we have one point of contact, submission, and processing throughout.
DO NOT USE!!
The first person I talked to was helpful, however the second seemed to not be able to get their act together. They kept asking for more and more stuff. Blamed it on underwriting and kept asking for stuff that didn't apply. Now they have still not replied to my latest emails asking for clarification after closing, they keep saying i have an HOA, but i dont. They also made me sign saying i had an appraisal, again. I did not. I tried to explain everything and even asked where they are getting the wrong information. I have yet to hear back. I will 100% NOT be using this company again. Absolutely absurd.
Horrible Experience at Closing…
There are many reasons why buying our home with Sage was not a happy occasion. Firstly, our original closing date was yesterday (4/20/26) where we spent several hours in the attorney's office waiting to hear why the closing was not complete while many phone calls to our Sage contacts went to voicemail and messages were not returned.
Below is a breakdown of the many odd and unprofessional experiences during the process:
1. Early on in the process I disclosed my wife's income and we inquired why her income was not being considered. We were told that this was not required and that my income would be sufficient throughout the process. Eventually, the team did ask for evidence of her income but this could have been resolved much earlier without making assumptions.
2. During the process I was repeatedly asked for evidence of my "remote" status as an employee. I never disclosed nor ever have been a remote employee. I provided evidence from my employer attesting to my in-office status but was still repeatedly asked for confirmation that I was a remote worker. Eventually these inquiries stopped but after providing the initial response it would have been appreciated if the team could have better communicated what they needed or why the remote status was important.
3. When finalizing our closing disclosure we had to repeatedly ask for adjustments to reflect credit being provided by the Seller. This was originally communicated in a signed final agreement but it still took several follow-ups for the disclosure to appropriately reflect the correct cash to close amount. The team repeatedly sent incorrect disclosures during this period and did not provide communication on changes or acknowledgement of our requests until finally getting the disclosure correct a few days before the closing date.
4. I am currently in the process of selling our prior home. This was disclosed as being on the market but would not be a contingent sale for the purchase of the new home. The team repeatedly asked during the process for evidence of the sale of my home and the net proceeds. Later on we learned that the team had mis-documented our file and claimed that a portion of the source of funds were coming from the sale. Only today after confirming for the fourth time that the home was still on the market did the team make the correction to our file and stop asking for this evidence. The cash to close was provided in full several days prior to the closing date so it does not make any sense why after this the inquiry continued?
5. Evidence for the source of our funds was originally provided on 4/1/26. While we were signing documents in the attorney's office during closing a request was received for additional evidence. Why was this request not sent in the several weeks leading up to this? We did not receive clear instructions on what additional evidence was needed until the following morning (even after the attorney tried to communicate with Sage on their end and we tried calling our contacts to no avail). This evidence was provided promptly after clear instructions were received.
6. The Underwriter working our file asked for several items today that were previously provided. For example, the Underwriter claimed they could not find a specific transaction on a statement. After reviewing the statement that was provided we pointed out to the Underwriter that this was on page X and provided them the same evidence. Do your Underwriters know how Ctrl + F works? Why was the Underwriter raising this concern during closing and did not previously review the file in the days/weeks leading up to closing?
Overall I will not be recommending Sage to anyone I know and am beyond disappointed in the experience. The stress that Sage put us through leading up to, during, and after the initial closing date no one should experience and could have been easily solved by the team providing prompt and clear communication. I work in internal audit by profession and have grave concerns after this experience for how your company operates.
Avoid at all costs
Avoid at all costs. I went with Sage Home Loans because of a perk through Robinhood Gold—huge mistake.
My loan officer was “out of the office” and completely unreachable for nearly half of the entire 4–5 week process. That alone should tell you everything. When he was available, communication was terrible—basic instructions had to be repeated, and nothing was handled with any sense of urgency or competence.
It gets worse: critical financial information wasn’t properly communicated to underwriting, which led to my file being processed incorrectly. Despite that, there were little to no updates, no accountability, and no effort to fix the issues in a timely way.
After weeks of wasted time, I walked away. All I got out of this experience was a hefty home inspection bill and a major headache—no loan, no progress, nothing.
Save yourself the frustration and go with a lender that actually knows what they’re doing. I’m going back to my usual lender and won’t be looking back.
Paul Grady
Paul Grady, Mortgage loan originator, from Sage Home Loans, provided the best service and experience I’ve ever received when applying and purchasing a home. I’ve purchased and sold several homes in the past 5 years and I could not believe how effortless it felt on my end. Paul’s friendly nature, accessibility and immediate response to any questions I had regarding the loan made me feel very confident in the process. The efficiency and communication from Paul and the Sage team to my realtor, Title company and myself was recognized by all. The representative from Title even commented on the low closing cost from Sage! My realtor plans to follow up with Paul to recommend Paul to her clients. I would 100% recommend Paul Grady from Sage Home Loans!

Deceptive Mortgage Tactics
Deceptive Mortgage Tactics, Bait and Switch Tactics, then malicious discriminatory retaliation. I was pre-approved for a refinance loan at the original loan originator stage. Then after over 10+ attempts to call, email, left voicemails, etc. with the processor and no responses I received a message from a supervisor two days before closing that the numbers were different after underwriting and it was a difference of 50k out of pocket closing costs. So between the two computers calculating differently it went up 50k in cash less than 36 hours before closing and the rate lock would expire. After this occurred an email was sent requesting the loan be withdrawn, it was written and agreed upon as a loan withdrawal then the loan manager submitted it as a denial rather than a withdrawal.
Allmi can say is they did adequate job…
Allmi can say is they did adequate job at letting me take out another mortgage on my double wide. Even assured me I wouldn't lose it because with my smooth talking I'm for sure going to be able to pay it bsck. God is good, all the time, all the time God is good. Glory Hallelujah
I had a great experience working with Paul Grady from Sage Loans
I had a great experience working with my Paul Grady. From the beginning, he was friendly, professional, and always willing to help. He took the time to explain every step of the process and made sure we felt comfortable with our decisions.
What stood out the most was his commitment to getting our loan approved and closed on time. He stayed on top of everything, communicated clearly, and was always available when we had questions. His dedication and work ethic truly made the entire process smooth and stress-free.
I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable and knowledgeable loan originator.
Very rude and pushy loan officer
Very rude and pushy loan officer
The loan officer had a pompous, condescending attitude, did not want to listen to anything we said, reminded me of a high pressure car salesmen. I would recommend steering clear of this shady company. You are making probably the largest purchase of your life and have to find someone you trust. This type of behavior is intolerable.
High turnover and inept. Not good for Veterans
High turnover, very slow on correcting of errors. Excuses from Representatives, the customer service nonexistent. The company states on the recording when nobody answers. We are closed on observation of Thanksgiving. This was last week recording on Feb25. 2026. if you’re a veteran getting a loan, do not use them use that united lots of confusion. stay away go somewhere else veteran United or a different bank that knows how to work with vets. They are not vet friendly.
