Can't say enough how pleased we were with Denise and Michael! Left our boat for 5 weeks on a mooring under their watchful eye. Denise sent us weekly photographs with times of bilge, power panels, through hulls, hatches opened and hatches closed. Her extreme attention to detail kept us at ease leaving our baby in Luperon. Also very impressed with the extras they provided such as help with customs the day we arrived as well as the taxi they arranged from airport on our return and even transportation back to our boat which we found safe and in order on our return. Highly recommend these guys!

While our boat was stored in Grenada, SafeYachts had boats that they were tending in the same yard that our boat was stored. We had hired another service to tend our boat while we were away. Denise was near our boat one day and could hear an alarm, and went out of her way to contact us. She was not aware who was tending our boat at the time. Thanks to her going out of her way to contact us, and we were not even her customer, things were properly tended to in short order. This company, in my opinion, goes above and beyond.

Denise looked after our Leopard 47PC in Grenada in 2016 and is now (2020) looking after our Cape Dory 28 in Luperon, DR. It is great to work with someone who performs the service as promised and in a timely fashion, anticipates problems and uses common sense. We definitely feel that our yacht is in "Safe" hands.

Since the second we arrived in the Dominican Republic, Safe Yachts were absolutely incredible. They were the first smiling faces we saw, even before the navy. They walked us through the whole process and provided every bit of help we could have needed as well as useful numbers and information. Even after our first week they were still offering help and advice when we needed it. If you need anything, go to them first. They can sort it out.

Denise provided gardienage for our bot when we were in Grenada over the hurricane season. She regularly inspected to boat for mildew, water ingress, infestations etc. She sent regular e mails and photo's if required. We were very pleased with the service. I am sure she will do as good a job in Luperon.

Denise looked after our 57’ Catamaran Adastra while on the hard in Grenada, I believe her service is invaluable while leaving your boat unattended, she checked the boat every week, took photographs of battery levels and sent them to me regularly, I was able to leave the boat in her professional care and go away on vacation knowing she would handle anything that came her way, Denise is a professional and diligent business owner and I highly recommend her to look after you boat in any location.

Denise is excellent, probably more attentive than I am, she is a boat owner so she knows what is important and valued by her clients and she can customise the services of her team to suit. No reservations, Mike 44ft moody on mooring bouy 6 months. Worth saying the moorings are Checked by the equally excellent dive centre scuba tech.

Denise has looked after our 50 ft Prout cat for 3 seasons now. First on the hard in Clarkes Court and then on the water for 12 months in Prickly Bay. And now another 6 months on the hard in Clarkes Court.

Being more than 6000 miles away, having Denise keep a close eye on the baby, reporting each 2 weeks with images and descriptions of how she is. Also any matters needing attention and advised. Where necessary she follows up and gets the work done. This was all done very thoroughly by someone who KNOWS. Thats what matters.

All in all a great service.

We had the good fortune having Denise at Safe Yachts look after our catamaran whilst she was on the hard in Clarkes Court for 7 1/2 months.
I loved the frequent updates and pictures and we were alerted to any possible problems so we did not return to any surprises.

Denise watched over our Catamaran Forever, for 6 months in 2017 while she was on a mooring ball in Prickly Bay.

We discussed all the services Denise provided, together we came up with a gaurdianage that best suited our needs. Denise was efficient, affordable and quick to send emailed reports along with pictures of our cat. Any questions I had about our cat, local information, or when I needed suggestions for repairs/services, she was there for us.

Denise and Safe Yachts provided us the comfort we needed knowing Forever was being well taken care of in our absence.

We had Denise look after our 46' Leopard cat during the summer of 2016. She was very conscientious in her duties and communicative with us whenever needed. She arranged for various projects to be done on our boat in our absence and she monitored all the work. Highly recommended. INDIGO

We left our sailboat on a Safe Yachts mooring ball for five months during the 2016 hurricane season. Receiving very thorough weekly email reports gave us great piece of mind as we attended to our land life. Denise runs Safe Yachts very professionally and anticipates the needs of cruisers. Denise arranges transportation to and from the airport with reliable local drivers. She also put gas in our dinghy prior to arrival making start up to the sailing season seamless. During tense times when storms were approaching the area Denise kept in constant communication with us. Safe Yachts is definitely a five star experience.

We left our boat on the hard in Grenada for 6 month and hired Denise at Safe Yacht to board and inspect it every two weeks. The inspections were done on schedule and after every one we promptly received an email detailing what had been found and what was done. When we had some battery issues, she coordinated with Stephen at Marine Tech (also would highly recommend) to troubleshoot the problem. She also was able to give us information about the status of work that we had contracted to have done on the boat. When we returned, we found the interior to be as clean and mildew free as when we had left it. Were very pleased with the professionalism of her service and plan to hire her again when we next leave the boat on the hard in Grenada.

We have known Denise for several years. When ever we are in Grenada on our 50 ft catamaran, we always connect with her. Her moorings are new, safe and well maintained. She is attentive to our needs and knows who to call on to sort out our boat issues. Totally reliable and pays attention to our details. You cannot go wrong leaving your boat in her capable hands. I have spent 25 years racing and cruising all over the globe and I have worked with a lot of people in the sailing industry and Denise is among my favorite.

My wife and I had to go back to the states to take care of some personal business and needed to leave the boat in Grenada for approximately 6 weeks. This is the second time that we needed to leave the boat over the course of two years and last year we hauled out in Grenada Marine. Since we were only going to be leaving for a short time, we decided to use Denise Simpson / Safe Yachts after receiving several stellar reviews from other cruisers.

I emailed Denise ahead and paid my deposit which guaranteed a mooring ball for the time when we would be away from the boat. ( Definitely recommend that since she does fill up).

Before leaving, Denise came to the boat to check out the various systems and spent approximately an hour with us going through the watermaker, engines and general care of the boat. She took copious notes and really felt that we were in good hands when we left our boat.

Throughout our time away, she sent very thorough notes of the things she did on the boat. Engine hours, temperature, reading on the watermaker.. Whatever your concerns are... she took care of them.

While we were away, there was a problem. The watermaker... (ugh) It was showing a strange error ( I never saw ) and she had an experienced technician out the next day to take care of the problem.

Denise went above and beyond on many occasions and made leaving the boat pleasant. If we ever have to leave the boat in Grenada for an extended period of time, I would absolutely recommend her services!

We are Canadians with a sailboat located in Grenada. We were referred to Denise and Safe Yachts through a boat delivery service in the BVI's who strongly recommended her. Our initial need was an inspection of the boat to ensure sea worthy. Denise and her business associate completed a thorough 4 hour inspection and provided an extremely detailed report listing all matters and what work was required. This included all boat parts, engine, bilge, generator, battery, electrical components, mechanics, everything. We then wanted to move the boat to a new location (closer to Safe Yachts) and Denise prepared the boat for the journey, notified the coast guard, hired a tug boat and transported the boat without a single issue to her new mooring in Prickly Bay.

Since that time, Denise has been working on the boat to ensure ship shape including multiple cleanings and oiling of interior wood, ensuring all mechanical components in working order, purchasing generator on our behalf, installing solar panels, draining pumps and bilge, cleaning entire boat including rust, etc. from prior maintenance, organizing chain and anchor. Hours and hours and hours of labour. We have been so appreciative of her attention to detail, proactive nature and responsibility.

Denise provides all time details spent on boat for invoicing and scans and provides all receipts for purchases made. Denise is providing a valuable service that only someone with her experience and strength of personality can provide.
