It is unfortunate that we are unable to support any positive feedback that may have been published in regards to Safepay. The short background is that we have engaged with Safepay over a year ago who required a deposit of almost half the quoted five figure number in Euros. Our business suffered a few unforeseen delays and we were unable to proceed with the project at the time. As such we entered into negotiations with Safepay to refund a part of the deposit as the project has not commenced. Safepay amicably agreed to refund circa half of our deposit. Safepay informed us that they will retain the balance, which is a rather substantial amount given that the project did not get off the ground. However, we were very thankful for their consideration on the basis that as soon as we are ready we would engage with Safepay again and they agreed to keep the balance on account for our benefit in future.
Safepay undertook to repay the deposit to our nominated account by the first week in October 2018. This was not done. Since October 2018 we have been given various excuses why Safepay are delaying the refund and more recently the communication has deteriorated to the point that Safepay do not respond to our follow up emails or take any of our calls. The only funds Safepay claimed to have paid to us relates to a 'test' transfer of c.EUR50 which they paid in the wrong account despite us clearly providing the correct bank details.
We have reached out to the CFO and Partner, Lars Kallestrup and the CEO, dr. Zsuzsa Somogyi on a number of occasions backed by 19 emails and call logs. Our final request from them more than two weeks ago providing them with one last opportunity to work collaborative on a solution before we intent to call out their behaviour has also fallen on deaf ears it would seem. Very disappointing and it’s tough to accept that we have been strung along for more than 6 months by Safepay. Given the background, we are unable to promote Safepay as a business partner however we remain open for discussion with Safepay and work on an amicable resolution.
