Ultrasound on my knee injury
After a recent knee injury in which I experienced what felt like a small tear across my kneecap, I visited the local NHS hospital who were able to carry out an X-ray and offer advise on what they expected my injury to be.
I was In a lot of pain and unable to bend my leg at the knee. Pain relief was prescribed but because I work as a driver, I needed to get an accurate diagnosis as soon as possible. Any scan the NHS could offer would be weeks away.
Having spoken on the phone to Safe and Sound, they were able to book me in for an ultrasound very quickly.
After performing the scan they were able to confirm that I had a small tear on my quadriceps tendon.
This in-turn meant I was able to use this information to arrange a program of rehabilitation with a physio and am now on a path to a quicker recovery.
My scan was performed by Masood who was very understanding of my concerns at the time and gave a very concise and clear explanation of my injury.
I was also given a full report which was useful to pass on to my physio.
Without the quick, expert and professional help of Safe and Sound I feel I would be weeks behind in my recovery.
It was also reassuring to discover that all of their Sonographers are active workers in the NHS so this gave me peace of mind on their credentials.
I can’t recommend them highly enough.
