The booking process was very easy

The booking process was very easy. However, after paying i was informed that there is still a Cleaning Fee. This should have been communicated ahead of time!

Dear Kashief

I'm sorry that you were unaware of the cleaning fee when booking, but it is shown on the property's listing, on both the room and rates pages and under the conditions when a booking request is made, and then confirmed. It is not included in the total, because it needs to be paid directly to the property, and not via our payment gateway.

I do apologise for the confusion. And we will look into making those fees (cleaning fee or breakages deposit) more visible.

It was easy

It was easy, however the continuos emails were rather irritating thus payment in full was made, which I'd think was the object of the irritations.

Your system is not linked to the venues, filtering by only available in the specifies dates will be more efficient.

Dear Pontsho,

We agree. About 70% of the properties on our site do use live availability allowing us to filter by what's available for specific dates, but the rest choose not to show live availability, preferring to quote for each request sent. This becomes particularly noticeable over Peak Season, when a large majority of the properties are not available, so our results are largely composed of those that don't show their live availability.

Thanks for your feedback. Hopefully more of the 30% of properties not showing their live availability will take it to heart too and start allowing realtime bookings.

I agree that the final payments are not explained adequately and I'll ask our properties to add that information. Each property deals with this differently, some wanting payment on check-in and others requesting full payment a specified number of days prior, so we have always expected the host to communicate those details with the guest. Appreciate your feedback as there is always room for improvement.
