SCAM AVOID!

SCAM! AVOID! Fraudulently registered my details and didn't remove me when requested.
EDIT: Apparently my details were were randomly captured, leading to spam emails from this company. If this is the attitude to complaints they have, I shiver to think about the service they actually offer.

Hi Alastair, since 2001 we've been working with recruiters in Scotland, England and Wales and handling 1000s of job applications per week. There has never been any automatic registration, and I can assure you there is no scam. Accounts require a name, email address, a password and email addresses are all verified. Jobseekers can also register via their google credentials and our implementation follows Google's guidelines.

s1jobs and jobs24 are legitimate job websites where job seekers can search and apply for roles, as well as access career advice.

Both websites are operated by Newsquest Media Group Ltd. We’ve received confirmation from the Newsquest Privacy Team that your request to delete your account and associated data has been actioned.

We value all user feedback but please consider reviewing your rating for this website.

Part-Time Job salaries are grossly…

Part-Time Job salaries are grossly exaggerated. Care jobs advertised as paying £43k, which is ridiculous. When you go to employer websites the salary is £25k. I have pointed this out but no changes made.

S1Jobs - poor user experience

I've updated this review because I have since been contacted by the S1Jobs helpdesk who tried to help me. It looks like the issue occurs when using a particular version of Chrome. It is still an issue for me, but I can bypass it using Edge or an incognito window on Chrome. I still think the search and filtering functions are not fit for purpose, but I have to give credit to the helpdesk guy for trying and have increased their star rating by a star.

My original entry:
I went to the S1Jobs site to find potential jobs that I could apply for. The user experience is terrible. Search doesn't return results, or sometimes only when you refresh the page. And the filters (which could be useful) only allow you to choose one item per category (eg, you can choose "remote" or "hybrid" for a preferred work location, but not both). This means you have to rerun each search with different filters on to see what is available.

I pointed all this out to their helpdesk, wondering if they were just having technical problems, but I never got an answer from them, and the user experience hasn't changed in the weeks since. Very poor experience.

Also, Trustpilot, wondering why, when there are 4 "1-star" reviews, s1Jobs still gets a 2.5 star rating from you?

Do not pay for Job Advert - S1 is a complete waste of time and money.

Following a very convincing Sales Call we were mis-sold, what sounded like good value at £1000 consisting of a very effective Head Hunting service with a dedicated consultant searching out and targeting relevant personnel, combined with professional copywritten advertising, multiple targeted jobs boars, boosted adverts, CV filtration and video pre-interviews. In effect once we signed up we had our existing advert reflected back to us for approval (Professional Copywriting?), we then heard nothing till we chased the "dedicated consultant" who sent us a couple of inappropriate CVs. Then we received a Bill. When we asked for evidence of the service having been provided we were sent a couple of stock images, with our company name and job title attached, presumably what was posted on our behalf, and were told details of the unsuccessful head hunting conversations could not be shared for confidentiality of the candidates. Then were hounded with threatening legal letters - Pay up or we will take you to court. Basic message is S1 big sales pitch came to nothing and they don't even care if their customers perceive they have provided a service, so long as they get their money.

DO NOT PAY FOR JOB ADS WITH S1 JOBS

DO NOT PAY FOR JOB ADS WITH S1 JOBS. This is a shockingly bad organisation. Our company was misled into purchasing £750 + VAT 5 x job credits. Job Postings were compared with identical postings on Indeed, LinkedIn and Monster. Over 4 months, S1 Jobs performed appallingly. Less than 3 x candidates from people overseas seeking immigration whilst HUNDREDS came in from the other sites. An absolute joke. We made several formal complaints but S1 jobs were so shameless, desperate and greedy they refused to offer any compensation, credit or refund. Instead, they offered "Premium" upgrades to the posts, which suffered from the same poor responses. Meanwhile, their tone def account managers keep sending me garbage emails suggesting that we take advantage of their special discounts, in spite of me telling the same individual that their service is a complete rip-off that has taken our money but offered literally no value. This company has no business selling Job ads. Avoid this company like the plague. Use another site that actually tries to deliver a legitimate service when you pay them. What a disgrace.

DO NOT USE - AVOID LIKE THE PLAQUE

Absolutely awful job portal, we are a young fledgling recruitment business, and have been using S1 Jobs, since May 2022. We have not made one placement as we receive no quality candidates, in most cases we receive NO applications. I have asked S1 Jobs to reach a compromise with me to end my Contract early as the service provide is so shocking, and we cannot afford to pay for a service which is not being delivered. I have been advised, 'sorry, we cannot end your Contract early' no negotiation. I have instigated numerous attempts to resolve my dissatisfaction with the very poor performance this portal delivers, all of which result in the same response - 'sorry we cannot end the Contract early' and we are basically in a situation dealing with large corporate business, bullying a small business.
