Do not recommend this company if you…

Do not recommend this company if you are looking for designers who have vision, or can comprehend plans. I worked with scott and Jennifer, maybe they were having an off day or something I don’t know, either way very disappointed. I send measurements for kitchen and surrounding areas, asking to utilize any spaces possible as our kitchen is small. Got back a plan for the kitchen, Other companies send images with the plan so I could see the actual look of the plan. I misread the plan the first time as I was expecting it to include the other spaces sent with measurements, that was my bad. I asked to see what we could do with the other areas, they said they wanted to focus on just the kitchen and made a comment about plumbing being done right, I asked for clarification and wasn’t understanding why this was the first I was hearing of the issue. Then jennifer emailed and asked for the same information I had already sent and I explained exactly what I wanted, she had more questions and wanted a call, I said I hadn’t had this problem with designers before and that I didn’t understand the difficulty understanding and said when we could have a call, got a message back saying they weren’t the right fit. Seems like a lot of people now don’t actually want to work and just want easy work where they don’t have to think. A lot of people are having the same problems with many different industries. Frustrating indeed. Have a couple quotes and will try some more local places and choose which one is best. oh wow and after reading these reviews I am glad it ended the way it did and I didn’t sink any money into them!

Pro-Positive-Pleased

Jennifer was the reason I was able to get from concept to purchase. I had a ton of questions and design changes along the way. She always responded with an eager spirit and professional quick response.

Back order hell

Kayla was helpful getting my order together. Part of my problem has been a back order list that grew and not receiving the entire first order. R&L Carriers lost one box on my first order and I made a claim with RTA. A week later, the box showed up, with someone else's order. I did get a FedEx from RTA with the correct items. I made an inquiry with customer service about substituting a different cabinet for one on back order and replacing another one to match. I got a quote of $550. Full sticker for everything, while offering the discounted price for the cabinet that is on back order. So far, it's not been a good experience. The cabinets that I have received, seem nice.

Kayla Anderson was a great designer…

Kayla Anderson was a great designer with regard to the cabinet configuration our kitchen remodel. Definitely 5-stars. I cannot say the same for the RTA Cabinet website, however. Had significant trouble creating an account, and also with the process of paying for the cabinets. Definitely "thumbs down"for the website.

Don't buy from this company!

Don't buy from this company!! I order the cabinets you put together 9 boxes was delivered 2 being heavy pantry cabinet which was near the top of stack. The bottom 3 boxes 2 was the same width one that the cabinet got messed up was a thicker width. Everything came wrapped up looked great at delivery could not tell the bottom box that cabinet was in the cabinet inside of box crushed. Email company about this said sorry needed to see copy of delivery paper where we told the delivery guy that this cabinet was messed up on bottom of huge stack of cabinet. I guess we was supposed to go through each box and look at all the pc in each box while delivery guy is there with you.

Linda was great

Linda was great. She was responsive and available when I called her personal line, or called back when she could. She even checked my order for me after hours. She knew how to tell me what I needed for my unique design. Was thankful for her work.

White Shaker cabinet purchase

We shopped around and landed on RTA and had a great experience. Just ordered our cabinets but had a great experience with our designer, Nikole who helped us layout and put together a quote that would work for us. Highly recommended and really like the 3D and design/ layout service they provide.

Customer service is very hard to work with!!!!
If any item is on back order once you pay them you are at their mercy. They do not care if it gets pushed out indefinitely.

Heed the warnings

Heed the warnings. The quality of their cabinets is very good however the service sucks in fact one star is to high. I am glad I only ordered two cabinets as the both arrived with damage. The damage was not visible until we unwrapped them or I would have refused the shipment. They DO NOT properly protect the product and I would have been happy to pay extra to have it properly packaged. Shippers are rough on anything they handle its just the way it is and you need to account for that. So I contacted "customer service" I have yet to receive a response nearly two weeks later. I am fortunate that I can basically repair the damage so it not so visible however it would be nice if they would send me out a new door. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED... you are not going to save any money going with the company.

Don’t fit in the box

I was disappointed at the narrow selection of cabinets that I needed for my project. The design staff was pleasant but at the end I was only able to use two cabinets for a secondary project. The designer did not include side panel even though we had discussed them so I had to delay my finish to receive those. In addition, the base cabinet had dummy decorative panels at the top. I asked if RTA could install or provide me with functional drawers. The answer was no. I purchased other drawer units and installed them. Then I ran into the real issue.
The decorative panel frame is hardwood but the inset is MDF...cardboard.
I questioned this with the designer who referred my to a supervisor. I was informed that the specifications were posted online. When I pressed about holes that were made in the face frame to mount the dummy doors I was asked to send pictures. Waste of time.

In all RTA is a mid-grade company with limited options. You fit in their “box” all good. If not good luck.

I was very pleasantly surprised that…

I was very pleasantly surprised that RTA delivered on time. There are a number of reviews saying RTA lies about delivery times. My experience was different. WHen my order arrived in the warehouse, the wearhouse discovered some of my cabs needed to be made. I received an email right away saying they were awaiting delivery of materials needed to make some of my cabs. They said the delay would be five business days - they gave a specific date. Given all the covid related bottlenecks and the fact that big box stores are out of cabinets too, I had trouble believing that 5 day time frame. So did my contractor and then there were the negative reviews. But 5 days later, I received a note that my order was on the delivery truck. Im not sure if some of the complaints about delivery are related to the bottlenecks. I manage a few homes and we've had 6-8 month delays in products from chairs, to windows. So I was impressed with the turnaround. Don't have the cabs yet but Im trusting the contractor reviews that say RTA cabs are actually better quality than some of the box stores. ONE NOTE: RTA ONLY DOES CURBSITE DELIVERY. PLAN IN ADVANCE. I also suggest that RTA salespeople tell customers they only have curbside delivery; especially retail clients in NYC. Don't tell them after the fact that the customer should have checked at the beginning. The client is always right and also uninformed. Good customer service means informing your client and making sure they''ve worked everything out. For example, you could say "we only do curbside delivery but the local delivery company will work with your contractor and/or your moving help." Also, the lovely team of women that handle calls like mine - they really were professional - did try to find me white glove service. Unfortunately the delivery charge to move my rather small order 15 miles was over $2K; more than I paid to move my entire apartment into storage. That's ten times more than other companies charge. Plus the delivery company was unfamiliar with local NYC ccop insurance rules...botom line: they really don't have white glove service.

Bonnie did a great job following my…

Bonnie did a great job following my sketch and coming up with the basic layout...required some tweaking and she was patient and made adjustments....always look closely and be sure to review to get what you want, as much as we went over things, I still had to make my own changes due to choices and availability....Thanis Bonnie for the expertise and follow up along the way!!
