Everything from the first moment we landed in Ecuador was perfectly choreographed. Our pick ups and transfers were easy, ontime and so wonderfully nice. Our pre cruise excursions were fun and enjoyable and the moment we stepped foot on the islands our guides, crew and support was unparalleled.
Our cruise director Alejandro was always full of smiles and so accommodating. The chef kept our bellies full with so much amazing food and snacks and the rooms were kept spotless. Our captain even went 2 hours out of his way to ensure we got to see the lava flow from a recent eruption! Most incredible site.
Our naturalist guide David was so knowledgeable and patient, we learned and experienced so much on our trip! It was truly the trip of a lifetime!

Carolina Endara was my initial contact, and she was available to answer our many questions, preferences, and concerns. Her attention to detail and follow up was greatly appreciated. She was professional, efficient and personable, and we thank her.
The crew of the Calipso could not have been better. This was the best trip we have ever had.

Beautiful ship and excellent crew! The guide was very knowledgeable and gave us all the details we needed for the upcoming event. Food was excellent and they accommodated my need for gluten free meals perfectly. Very well organized!

We combined 4-day and 8-day cruises on the Cormorant II so that we'd visit both western and eastern islands. Both tours were amazing. Although the crew was the same, we had different guides for each. Both guides were fabulous: knowledgeable and with excellent English. The Cormorant II is the best of both worlds. With a maximum of 18 passengers, you get a more intimate experience. With the catamaran hull, you have a stable ride. (If you're worried about motion sickness, choose a cabin in the middle of the boat on the bottom of the two passenger decks.)
Rooms were large but fairly sparse (not a lot of furniture). Meals were good. If you're looking for extravagant meals and plan to hang out in your room a lot, this probably isn't the cruise for you. If you love nature and want to see the amazing diversity of nature that is the Galapagos Islands, then this is your cruise.
In addition to seeing all the wildlife that we had hoped to see, the captain diverted the boat to see lava from an active eruption as it flowed into the ocean, which was an unforgettable experience that was a complete bonus to the trip itinerary.
I would definitely recommend Royal Galapagos and the Cormorant II.
