After going through a few duffel bags I decided it was time to put money down on something more substantial. Something that would last, and look good while doing it.

This sent me on an internet search that didn’t turn up much - since everything was either too glitzy, questionable quality, or overly busy (why do people like buckles so much?). Eventually I came across Rowdy on Instagram, and instantly loved the simple design of their bags. Bonus points for their products being handmade, all while striving for an ethical business model. I decided to reach out and give them a shot.

Pieter, who runs their store here in the states, was above and beyond helpful - even sending me personal photos comparing the “small” and “large” duffels, which made my choice way easier. I ended up going with the small in cedar, and I’ve found it to be the perfect size. Big enough to lug a few days worth of clothing while still being compact. I think “medium” would maybe be a better descriptor, based off other bags I’ve seen on the market.

Most importantly however there’s the leather itself, which looks and feels amazing. It even smells nice. It’s probably hard to describe beyond that, but you kind of just know good leather when you see it, and this is as good as it gets. My only reservation now is whether to get it in black, but I might even cave and buy both. It’s that nice. Really hoping this company continues to do well and grow in the states, because we could use more like it.

I couldn’t be more happy with my moon bag and crossover tote! I’ve bought two matching sets which go with any and every outfit I wear! I’ve used one set everyday for a year straight and it still looks just as great as when I purchased it. The second set I just received last week and couldn’t be more stoked to sport it this summer! The customer service has been incredible too! Pieter answered all my questions with speed and ease. Rowdy bags are worth the investment. Highly recommend!!

I purchased a cross body bag from the Playa Vista Farmer's Market in Los Angeles and it did not disappoint! As part of a promotional deal, I received a complimentary travel pouch as well. Both items are of the highest quality and are ethically sourced. I generally do not use leather bags, so I initially planned to give it as a graduation gift, but I loved it so much, I decided to keep it for myself! It is lightweight and holds my laptop, purse, and other other essentials. It even has a deep pocket which holds my huge Samsung Note phone. The company also has the BEST customer service and answered all my questions and even followed up with me to ensure I was satisfied. I cannot recommend Rowdy Bags enough!

I love the tote I got from Rowdy and often get compliments on it wherever I go! The color is a beautiful boulder-tan and the leather is SO soft. What drew me to these bags is that they are handmade as each one comes with a tag that includes a photo and description of the person who made it. Service was excellent as well and shipping was fast! The best part is they have such a unique variety of bag colors, types, and sizes (I have my eye on those duffles next!) making them great for gifting as well. Thanks Rowdy!
