Rowan Energy rewards people for living a more sustainable life. Rowan increases your rewards from rooftop solar by giving you an extra 10p for every kWh generated within your kWp package size. You only need solar, and a small, low-powered device called a Rowan SmartMiner. A SmartMiner is a SmartMeter and blockchain Miner in one. It's easy and quick to install. Rowan Rewards do not affect any subsidies or feed-in tariffs you are already paid.

My smart miner went off line in June
My smart miner went off line in June. Despite promises from this company to sort it out it hasn’t been fixed. I am either fobbed off or ignored.
I have followed all their instructions & they have agreed it needs an engineer, but will not respond to emails etc.
Highly Recommend Carbon Monitor
I had the carbon monitor installed to compliment my solar panels and so far it has been an excellent experience. I've made several withdrawals so far and although it actually isn't, it feels like free money. can't wait till its paid off with the profit and then everything on top will be pure profit. website is very simple and easy to use. highly recommend for anyone with Solar.
Disappointed in transparency and behaviour
I’ve been an RWN token holder since 2020 and invested in this project with genuine trust, based on all the promises about an innovative blockchain, strong partnerships, and an ambitious roadmap. Months later, none of this materialized. Instead, the project has been plagued by unresolved technical problems and increasingly vague updates. In the end, the token was simply abandoned without any credible plan to make investors whole.
Many in the community, including myself, have suffered considerable losses. To make matters worse, the CEO has chosen to delete messages on Telegram, remove YouTube videos, and wipe out earlier statements—while refusing to address obvious questions. Despite these attempts, the community still retains all the records and evidence.
What is particularly concerning is that the official communication has amounted to little more than generic statements that never engage with the substance of the issues. If there is any seriousness left in this company, it should stop hiding behind scripted replies and instead offer clear answers about the white hat’s published findings, an actual compensation plan for early supporters, and the reasons behind systematically erasing all previous content.
Until this transparency is restored, I strongly advise others to think twice before engaging further. If your response is again limited to repeating that the token retirement was the outcome of internal reviews and external advice, that will simply confirm you have no genuine answer to any of these concerns.
Please don't use your generic response and take the time to respond honest.
Kind regards
Dennis

Zero transparency...
Zero transparency...
I invested in good faith in this project as a holder of RWN tokens. For months, we were promised a new blockchain, solid partnerships, and an ambitious roadmap.
The reality: unresolved technical issues, increasingly vague communication, and ultimately, the complete abandonment of the RWN token without a proper compensation plan.
The CEO has posted vague messages on LinkedIn and Telegram, failing to provide clear answers to the many questions raised by the community.
Many investors, including myself, have lost significant amounts of money.
And now the CEO is deleting all his messages on telegram, videos on youtube etc... but the community still has the proofs...
I strongly advise against engaging with this company until transparency is fully restored.
If this company is serious, answer to these questions:
- What do you have to say about the article the white hat wrote?
- How will you compensate the early investors?
- Why does the CEO delete all the social media content?
Please don't answer with your generic response saying that the decision to retire the token was made after internal review and external consultation... If you do, this would mean you have no answer to the questions asked above.

Surprising stop of $RWN trading
Surprising stop of $RWN trading
I‘m affected by the surprising stop of $RWN. Believed all the announcements about a prosperous business model until december 2024. Asked directly at Rowan Energy in LinkedIn, but never received an answer. Rowan’s CEO visited my LI profile, but no statement at all. Filed a claim at the UK Fraud Action. With the information I have, this seems to be a scam. Would not do business with them, neither with CEO.
PD: in a former version of this opinion the name of RE’s CEO was mentioned, RE required TP to retire this review alleging that the name of the CEO would be personal data. If you want the name put into Google: „CEO Rowan Energy“

Hidden mint function- mass extraction
This company has raised serious red flags. The cryptocurrency project in question appears to have been launched with a hidden mint function, allowing undisclosed token creation that ultimately harmed investors.
It has been confirmed by one of the key individuals, David, that instead of addressing the issue transparently, efforts were made to delay consequences while distancing himself from the company and its assets.
There are indications that legal proceedings may soon be initiated against those involved.
Until full accountability is taken and a genuine resolution is provided, I strongly recommend avoiding any involvement with this company.

You've been lied to. Such a shame.
This seemed so promising, a genuinely great idea. The devices in people's homes record solar electricity and submit the data to a verified blockchain for irrefutable proof of generation. The data is then used to generate carbon certificates, providing Rowan with a revenue stream which they pass onto their customers. Investors can also purchase blockchain tokens (commonly known as cryptocurrency) so they have a stake in the technology.
The problem is we have been lied to for the last few years. There's now proof that the blockchain was not as advertised and most likely not connected to the smartminers sold to homeowners. Rowan has now "retired" the blockchain instead of responding to allegations that it had lied to investors.
Crypto tokens sold under the guise of being a piece of the technology raised tens of millions of pounds for Rowan Energy. The money raised has been paying the customer bonuses for the time being, but now the investors are left with nothing, and I'm not sure if the expensive piece of technology installed in homes is really doing what it says either.
If only this could all have been true it would have been so great.

Big Disappointment
Many people invested their life savings in this company, believing the videos its CEO shared, the excitement he generated, and the promises he made. Despite being exposed by a white-collar hacker, Ceo retired the company's coin without any explanation. He left hundreds of investors who believed him stranded. After the hack, he lied to us about reaching an agreement with an auditing firm. During this time, people who believed his words continued to invest in the company, including me. However, millions of dollars we'd invested over the years suddenly went to waste. Do you think such a company and its CEO can ever be trusted again?

Smart meter doesnt give out payments
Had myself a smart meter installed couple months ago. Seemed to be working fine. However till now, I never got my monthly bonus even though i earned enough capacity points to be entitled to them. No word back from customer service. Will disconnect from them.

No clear answers about the hack article
Despite repeated community concerns, Rowan Energy has failed to offer any serious explanation for the collapse of the Rowan Token project. The token was abruptly retired with vague excuses about “strategic realignment,” leaving investors with nothing.
The company continues to post generic, copy-paste responses that do not answer key questions:
Why was the token quietly shut down with no proper compensation plan?
Why was there no official response to the well-documented allegations of a possible internal hack, as raised in several independent reports and community investigations?
Why is the CEO systematically deleting old posts, locking community channels, and remaining silent instead of taking responsibility?
Rowan Energy claims to be committed to “transparency,” yet their actions suggest the exact opposite.
Many of us invested significant time and money believing in this project only to be dismissed with vague statements and PR spin.
The company has not responded to the detailed article about the alleged exploit of the mint function, which may have artificially inflated token supply and destroyed investor confidence. (you can find the article on google with those keywords: Uncovering the truth behind Rowan Energy's RWN coin)
Until Rowan Energy provides a transparent, verifiable audit and engages openly with the affected community, they cannot be trusted.
If you're really transparent, do not copy paste your generic response and answer to this review. What do you have to say about the article? Where is the audit you were talking about?

Had been lied several years
I've been in the blockchain of Rowan Energy due to having a connection between smart miner and crypto, because Rowan Energy CEO reviewed that it is the same company. But it turns out that he deceived his investors who fund his business. He manipulated the coin prices and then retired, leaving all investors with serious losses. If I could give 0 star, I would. Keep away from this company.

Can't Trust David
As a long-time crypto investor and early supporter of Rowan Energy and the RWN token, I deeply regret ever getting involved. What began as a promising project in the renewable energy blockchain space devolved into what many now consider a well-planned exit strategy. CEO David Duckworth and his team aggressively promoted a vision of green energy innovation while minting massive amounts of RWN tokens behind the scenes and selling off large quantities during hype phases, profiting while retail investors held on to promises that were never fulfilled.
Investors were repeatedly told that a new blockchain was in development, with solid partnerships and an ambitious roadmap on the horizon. Instead, what we got were constant delays, unresolved technical issues, vague and deflective communication, and eventually a sudden announcement of the RWN token’s "retirement." This move effectively destroyed all utility and hope for recovery, leaving thousands with worthless tokens and no compensation plan.
Even worse, the blockchain itself was kept private under David’s control, with a dubious explorer that offered no transparency or way to validate transactions. It was later revealed that a secret mint function had been used for years, siphoning off tens of millions of dollars in investor value. When a white hat exposed this, David had the audacity to blame the community in his write-up instead of taking responsibility.
In the aftermath, David has taken deliberate steps to erase his digital footprint — deleting messages on Telegram, removing YouTube videos, and scrubbing content from social platforms like Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram. These actions only raise further suspicion. If there was no wrongdoing, why purge everything?
The experience bears all the hallmarks of a scam wrapped in a sustainability narrative: misleading investors, pumping tokens for insider profit, abandoning the project, and retaining infrastructure that was funded by the community. Many, including myself, lost significant or even life-changing amounts of money. For some, this was most of their life’s savings. This wasn't the first go around for David Duckworth either. You can search his name on propertytribes and see his history.
There has been zero transparency, no accountability, and no attempt to make things right. Communication was either vague, shifted blame, or was cut off entirely.
Avoid Rowan Energy at all costs. Que the copy paste response from Rowan I'm sure as it's pasted on the rest of the reviews. There is no information or reason... Just the same ole non-disclosure.

No answers, no accountability
I believed in Rowan Energy's mission and supported the project for several years. Watching it unravel without proper communication or accountability has been deeply disappointing. The value of what I held is now effectively zero.
Rowan continues to post the same generic response under every critical review, but this doesn't address the real harm caused. A blanket statement about the model "no longer being viable" isn't enough when people lost significant value based on trust in public promises. If you're truly committed to transparency, provide detailed answers not repeated PR messaging.
