What happen with the original Margrethe from 1954?

The web shop is easy and nicely designed with great photos, The delivery was also fast, but what happen with the original Margrethe from 1954? the new ones is a design kill, this made me very disappointed. First of all the smooth lines and perfection of the original is gone, full of sharp edges, poor lines and screams "China" low quality. Secondly I think you changed the material from the fantastic Melanime (you signature from 1954) to a plastic material? not the same feeling at all.
Im curious about the changes of this iconic item? I mean for example, would Louis Poulsen do this? is it all about margins? this will be the last of these in our kitchen. :( I will give them away to the Red cross sales.
