The Lady at Red Deer Rona South store, customer service was just rude. I was not sure why, then I thought it was because I am Canadian. I should have just asked for my money back and canceled my order. Will continue to go to Home Depot.

Same day delivery over 3 weeks late... so far

Their same day delivery has taken three weeks and counting.

15% off next order was offered, which was fine, then found out in the email it expires in 30 days, making it useless to me.

Terrible customer service, false advertising, unresponsive to email, never had an issue in store, but I sure as heck am never ordering anything online from them again.

Deceptive Shipping Timelines

Misleading and deceptive timelines advertised on their website; their own policies say that most orders ship by the next business day. It's been over a week since I placed an order (the estimated arrival date was supposed to be last week), and only the electronic label information has been submitted to the courier. Their customer service representatives also know and don't care, and are unhelpful with actually resolving anything, and refuse to provide estimated timelines after shipping. Apparently some things that are advertised as in stock on their website are actually out of stock and back ordered. Don't order from here unless you want to wait several weeks for something to arrive.

VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE

VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE - ACTUALLY CAUSED DAMAGE TO MY HOME AND TAKE NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR IT - Story is we ordered washer and dryer - told instock and then one week later told we dont have that in stock - so change made and wait another week - then washer arrives and delivering company does not just leave appliance as we were told they would but detaches and water from the existing washer and breaks off connection and floods first floor and basement despite them distinctly informing us they would not install the new appliance - water shut off after 10 minutes and considerable damage to home - they then left dryer out in hallway as gas was not disconnected - called emergency plumber who came to first pipe and had that charge to pay for - then wrote company to explain issue and they said they would forward it to insurer who basically said it was not their responsibility and would not assist in paying anything that it must have been preexisting despite never having an issue. Terrible customer service and have contacted a lawyer who basically said they will delay the process to run the costs up and then settle after a year or two - I will never use Rona again when there are just as capable other box stores around. We are out over $4-5000 asking only for a new washer/dryer. They have to accept responsibility for the water damage as their listing states they will not detach anything even though the deliverer said he was just doing us a favour. Very bad experience with Rona and we are certain to tell all our clients and neighbours in the area that they do not stand behind their own mistakes

I was at a rona store on rue principale…

I was at a rona store on rue principale in chateauguay, Québec this morning, i needed a piece of wood or plastic or presswood whatever, size roughly 48 in. by 33 inch I was not too difficult , the person at the construction counter told me that they stopped making cuts a year ago witch I know is not true, i askd him if i can go in the wood whareshouse to find à piece that would suit my need he said i needed a safety jacket witch i had, went to the wharehouse and met a young guy named MARC, it was april 2 today around 1 pm, it took a total of 8 minutes to find an appropriate piece and he cut it with the same equipment that has been there for many years. I do not write reviews normally but I would appreciate you promoting this guy MARC to Président of the company !!!! Thanks Claude Lacerte , president Semi trailer centre ic.

If I could give negative stars if I coud

If I could give negative stars I would. I ordered something online to the cost of $1035.00. Of course they took payment right away. I cancelled on the 5th but because they couldn't track ut they wouldn't cancel. So then I was told to return at delivery by not accepting which I did on the 11th of March. Today they told me that they confirmation I refused delivery but still will not process a refund as the sane vendor you couldn't track has supposedly not received it. This is not my problem its their problem they confirmed I refused delivery so need to put the money back on my card. This is frigging ridiculous its been 20 days since I refused delivery and 26 days since I first tried to cancel.

Tillicum Road Store -- Victoria, BC

This is re their store on Tillicum in Victoria, BC. Went there this morning (Saturday 10:30 AM) intending to buy a Venetian Blind (which required cutting to length). There was no one working in that department or any other isle nearby. Went to the customer service desk to request help. There was only one person with a long line of people waiting to talk to her. There were no cashiers -- just four self-serve checkouts. Finally found a guy in an isle and asked him for help. He used his radio and called for assistance in the 'blinds' isle. Waiting 10 minutes -- no one arrived. Found the guy again and asked how long it might be. Now he tells me he doesn't know if there is anyone in the store who can help me, but their 'blinds' specialist will be in at noon -- an hour and a half wait. Gave up. Went home and ordered the blind from Amazon for about 10% less than I would have paid in the store. This is the last time I bother setting foot inside a Rona.

Still waiting a month later—completely missed the season

I purchased a Yard Force snowblower from RONA online on February 9th, and it has been a logistical nightmare ever since. My original unit arrived damaged, and the replacement process has been incredibly slow. Despite dealing with "Executive Escalations," my order has spent weeks sitting in shipping yards, bypassing my location, and dealing with broken tracking links.
It is now mid-March, spring is arriving, and I still don't have the product I paid for a month ago. My biggest concern is that by the time I actually get to use it next winter, the warranty will be nearly expired. While the supervisor I’ve been emailing is polite, "polite" doesn't clear my driveway. Very disappointed in the lack of compensation offered for this level of inconvenience.

Rona Tullicum customer is Garbage

Rona Tullicum customer service is Garbage in my opinion. Made me wait for an hour for trying to get the part I need due to manufacturer issue and to tell me that it was not available from their store. The manager Dishanp is too lazy to look for the part Im looking for it clearly says that there are 2 available. Instead of trying to help me out, he kept walking away. Now Dishanp sent me to Rona Langford because there is one available there, but Tillicum have 2 available. Terrible Customer service!

Horrible Customer Service

I purchased six, 8ft long corner molding. The closest Rona was an hour away and I was very happy that Rona offered free packaging and shipping. The package arrived with all six items damaged. Two 4ft boxes were used with a space in the middle allowing the molding to bend and twist from handling. I contacted Rona and sent pictures of the damage. I received a response was that I was to return them to Rona and get replacements.

Overview of Purchase
On 2026-01-30, I purchased an American Standard Edgemere dual flush toilet from Rona. Upon installation, I encountered an issue with the low flush cylinder, which was not functioning as expected.
Attempted Return
The following day, on 2026-01-31, I returned to Rona to seek a refund due to the malfunctioning cylinder. However, my request was initially denied. The staff stated that a refund could not be processed because the toilet had been installed.
Concerns about Return Policy
This experience raised a concern: it is not possible to determine if a toilet will work properly without first installing it. The refusal to issue a refund under these circumstances seemed unreasonable, especially for a product that must be installed to confirm its functionality.
Conclusion
Having worked in bathroom renovation for forty years, I found this experience deeply unsatisfactory. As a result, I have decided that this will be the last time I purchase anything from Rona.

Appliance never arrived - installer is 3rd party

Made an online order for an appliance and it never arrived.

Customer support dodge my calls by putting me on hold then suddenly im ringing to another line, having to call different departments to find out what happened. Or left on hold for 30 mins plus.

No one acted on my purchase online, I had to call on the day of the delivery only to find out no one put the order into the delivery system, something about creating a purchase order. They rebooked a new delivery date and it still didn't arrive.

Then 3rd installation member comes only 1 or 2 days after appliances are delivered. Adding further delays.

Ordered a part for water heater

Ordered a part for water heater. It said they had 3 in stock. I get a phone call and they don't have any, BUT they had other more expensive ones. This was Lowes famous trick. Advertise something on sale which they never have or any intention of having any and then try to sell you something else that isn't selling or is more expensive. They think they have you because you have already driven to the store. Went to get air staples and thought for sure they would have them because it said they had 32 boxes in stock. Guess what, they didn't have any, BUT they had some more expensive ones. Bunch of crooks.

Rona has the stupidest systems

Rona has the stupidest systems. I checked out with a cashier and asked for an e-mailed receipt as well as a paper receipt. She said it could NOT be done. For those want an e-mail receipt, they HAVE to SELF-Checkout because those terminals are the ONLY ones who give you the choice. She could do NOTHING. I'd have to go clear to the other end of the store, get a refund and then come all the way back to the self-checkout. HOW STUPID! I got my refund and left everything there and went to Home Depot where the management has brains. I'm trying to shop Canadian but when the Canadian alternative is clearly run by the stupidest people in the country, it's off to the American chain I went. RONA is run by pinheads whose IQ wouldn't equal room temperature.

Online purchase Difficulty

Made an online purchase Nov 14. Item to be delivered by the 21. Did not receive item. Tracked package through purolator and it just said was picked up and then nothing. Contacted Rona (which wasnt easy to get a human) they wouldnt help me, told me it was in Purolators hands. Purolator couldnt find the product ordered. I had to send them full details about item purchased, they still couldnt find it. But in the mean time, Rona would not help and got rude about it. Well I didnt order from Purolator, I ordered from Rona. Finally after over a month I cancelled the order. Rona are the worst, they would not refund my money back, they needed me to contact Purolator again and again as if I got the package or something. They finally said they would process the cancellation after they contacted Purolator to ensure that Purolator lost the package. They still wouldnt refund my money. After 3 weeks of calling them, they finally said they would process the cancellation. Still no refund. Finally on Jan 12 I got my money back. So 2 months of Rona bullshit, to get a refund. I will never order anything from them again. Took them 5 minutes or less to take my money, but heaven help if they have to give it back
