I have been having trouble trying to cancel two subscriptions for items that I bought through PayPal. PayPal changed their website and I can't figure out how to cancel a subscription. Emma, at Rocket Money helped me cancel them using my Rocket Mobile app. She was patient and very helpful. You have a great employee in Emma!

I tried this service almost 9 months or so ago and cancelled immediately. The commercial makes it sound like it’s so simple; that they tell you all the subscriptions you’re paying for and will cancel them with the click of a button upon your request. This could not be further from the truth!! You have to put in all the information for the subscriptions even after connecting them to your bank account. If I had all that information compiled I wouldn’t need them! Then I’m paying them to do all that grunt work? Why?
I never write reviews which is why I did not write one at the time so long ago, however I’ve been seeing their TV commercials again quite often demonstrating just how simple it is based on people not even remembering or realizing what subscriptions they’ve signed up for and decided to write this review. Mostly to remind myself how disappointed I was as I found myself almost wanting to try it again falling for the marketing!!! So, I decided to write this review instead so because it just is Not the case! It’s so disheartening to constantly have marketing campaigns shoved into your brain that promise something the company doesn’t deliver! Don’t fall for it!!!

They contact companies without your permission and impersonate you. It is impossible to get them to stop. They have some army in India. They changed my email address. They should be banned. Their activities are ilelgal.

bill negotiation is a scam to charge more money, impossible to find how to turn it off, whole company is deceptive. Customer service is non existent

I just canceled, read my notes below and please beware of this service, NEVER cancels subscriptions, also it charges you more, hidden fee and doesn't help at all:
"I have tried to cancel subscriptions, and you say they have been cancelled but I am still being billed. Sooo, Id rather pay those subscriptions then pay you."

Adam and Elise were a great help. I had been unable to get into my account due to me changing my phone number. It was sending code to my old number. I reached out and out nowhere. But finally Adam and Elise help me out. It was such a headache and stressful that i did get my account deactivated. But other than that Rocket Money was a great tool. They could do a little better when it comes to changing information. Again this was my experience, give them a try.
I have an online account with this firm; when logging in, when the 2-step authentication system verifies you, the code gets sent to the phone number that the account was set up with . . . I NO LONGER HAVE ACCESS TO THE PHONE NUMBER & ROCKET MONEY WON'T LET ME CHANGE THE PHONE NUMBER! I WILL NEVER HAVE ACCESS TO MY MONEY!
WOULD YOU PURCHASE A PRODUCT FROM A COMPANY THAT STEALS MONEY FROM YOU, LIKE THIS? (IT'S ONGOING . . .

They keep taking money out of my account after I have already canceled. There is no one to contact other than by email.

This app is a complete disaster! They claimed to "save" me money on my Xfinity bill, but instead, they locked me into a 5-year contract at a HIGHER rate—$86/month instead of my original $80! On top of that, they had the audacity to charge $200 for this so-called "negotiation." Are you kidding me? This is a total rip-off! Now I'm stuck with Xfinity for YEARS with no way out, and they think they can charge me for this mess? I’m reporting them to the Better Business Bureau and warning everyone to stay away. Do NOT trust this app—it’s a scam that’ll ruin your finances! Save yourself the headache and avoid at all costs!

Wow, what a bait and switch. Signed up and it gave me a "price" for a subscription and I immediately indicated with bullet choice that this was too expensive. Came back with a cheaper price. I indicated again it was too expensive. I then decided before going further that this wasn't for me. Today I see a charge for $10.63 for a PREMIUM subscription. BS. I got online and attempted to cancel and up pops a screen saying "chat with us by clicking here" or email to "emailaddress". The chat link is dead or inactive....and unusable. The email link doesn't work and when i copied and pasted in my email and composef a nice long letter to vent my frustration, the damn email gets returned as undeliverable. It is a joke of a service.

It seemed fine until they claimed to lower my Spectrum monthly amount and actually increased it. Months later they tried to lower it again and claimed that my bill was going up to $169 and they lowered it to $159. Not true. My amount was $154 and they just increased it to $159. And they had the audacity to charge my checking account $103.11. Be very careful with these folks!

THIS WAS THEIR PITCH: Provider:
New York Times
Old Plan:
All Access
New Plan:
All Access
Old Monthly Rate: $
25.00 before taxes and fees
New Monthly Rate: $
4.00 before taxes and fees
Monthly Savings: $ 21.00
Total Annual Savings: $ 252.00
My response: COMPLAINT the savings is not $252. That’s the cost . If you add their fee of $100 that equals (252+100)= $352 divided by 12 months equals a monthly expense of $29 . That is 16% more than what I paid monthly last year-$25. So you are not being truthful. I will promptly discontinue our relationship If you insist I pay this rate hike . I will also complain very loudly to trust pilot , BBB and Ripoff report on how disappointing and dishonest service you have. Explicitly explaining the scam you’re running. The actual savings going from $25/ month to $21/month is $4/ month x 12= $48x 40% ( your 40% take) is $19.20 not $100 . Please immediately correct this glaring matter or I will make massive problems for you and your scam operation

Initially I loved Rocket Money. I started at around $11 per month. Just in a few days of continuous issues, I realized that it kept kicking me out of Premium membership and it repeatedly lost all my setup. Their pricing is cheap - they allowed me to go Premium at $6 per month. However you simply keep repeating the setup and can barely use the software. Quite crappy to say the least.
I am putting todays date as this review does not allow me to put a period. This has been my experience ever since I started to use this product

The catch is Rocket Money is supposed to get rid of all these recurring bills you didn't know you had BUT Rocket Money won't close or stop those recurring bills unless you provide logins usernames and passwords to...accounts you didn't know you had.

At first, I was hugely impressed with Rocket Money's renegotiation of my subscriptions. They save me a good $300 per year -- and they usually handle everything, and communicate well.
Recently, I had a more frustrating experience. A $30/mo subscription increased to $45/mo, and I put in a request to negotiate it back down, with some suggestions of things to try (e.g., I had a $1 add-on that I could cancel). They were unable to get me any monthly decrease after more than a week of trying. Then I called in myself, and just by asking what the price would be without the add-on, I learned I could reduce the price to $35/mo -- so I did. I explained to the negotiator what I did, and he insisted that they never change the subscription features, only the price. I countered that they could always ask what the price **would be** with a given change, or at least, give me a heads up that they were not going to do what I suggested, so I would know to try it.
So, a C for communication on this one, but it's been an A the other times.
