Over a period of more than 15 years we visited during our travels a various number of knivemakers in Europe.
There are a lot of good ones , and Rocco Petrunti living in the little borgho of Frosolone, hidden up in the hills of the Molise in Italy , is one of them.

In behind of a knivemaker often there is a women..... ( )

One of these women we want to honer.
To honer in special !

It is Ching Racodia, wife of Rocco Petrunti. Rocco is, as I said , knifemaker in Frosolone. His family starts making knives in 1800.
The shop of the Petrunti family is run by the English and Italian speaking Ching.
Her bilingualism is a great effort to their business !
Beside doing the shopkeeping 7 days a week, she does the full housekeeping, and occasionaly she provides fantastic meals to guests invited by her husband.
The last 12 years we visit the Petrunti family annual. We bought a significant number of knives at their place and had good times together.
It was said that we are a part of the family.
Rocco is a skilled craftsman, but for over all is Ching the backbone of the Petrunti knive shop in Frosolone.

She is a great women we will never forget !

Together we had nice and good moments. Also our meeting in the Philippines with you, your lovely family and your wonderfull father we will never forget !

NOT to be missed!!! It's hard to capture in words all that is so special about Rocco Petrunti and his artisan knifemaking! We found ourselves in his shop multiple times during our month-long stay in Frosolone, admiring his beautiful work, learning from him, and returning repeatedly for "just one more"! We purchased knives from him on our first, brief stop in Frosolone in 2006. They are my go-to kitchen knives (and my siblings', too!), so I can attest to their quality and durability, not just their beauty. I don't let just anybody use them! Rocco is a master, a skilled and knowledgeable keeper of this centuries-old craft, and a walking encyclopedia of Frosolone knife-making history! It's clear how much he loves what he does and how he treasures the craft that's been handed on to him. We had the unexpected pleasure and privilege of visiting his workshop and watching as he demonstrated the various phases of creating a knife, from hand-forging to the final polish. I appreciate my Rocco Petrunti knives even more now seeing the labor of love behind each one. I'm particularly grateful to Rocco for sharing so much historical information that strengthened my understanding of my family's own Frosolone-Rhode Island history. The rolling knife-sharpening cart!!! Rocco, thank you for everything!

Ottimi prodotti. Ottimo servizio. I found the perfect pocket knife at Rocco’s store (slim, small and sharp) and wanted to by a few more as gifts. When I could not find the knives online, Rocco was able to find them for me and, moreover, arranged to ship them to my hotel during my next visit to Italy.

Knives are fantastic! I love them. Beautiful and superbly crafted. Communication and speed of shipment, as well as packaging were first rate.

My only concern, which is not their fault, is the unknown import fees at our end. There should be a way to provide an estimate of what these costs could be before order is placed. But since it is U.S. side, I’m not sure how it would work.

I just received my custom scissors and they are absolutely exceptional. The craftsmanship, the engraving and the attention to detail are on a level of their own. The packaging was beautiful and clearly prepared with care.

Everything was perfect. The olive board is gorgeous and the knife is beautiful. Love the monogram on it. He will love this Christmas present.

Rocco makes the best knives in the world period. I have 6 of his knives most of the kitchen knives but also have a few hunting knives. We were lucky enough to visit his knife shop and see his work in person in 2017. Just bought 3 more kitchen knives for our second home in Italy and could not be happier. 5 generations of knife making and the last in line in the family. If you don’t get one you will never know what you are missing!

Rocco Petrunti is an amazing knife maker and his customer service is second to none. At every stage I recieved email updates. The finished item was a sensational success and actually moved a fully grown man to tears as he promised his son that he would inherit the gift.

I was in the market for a product from Rocco Petrunti, and saw a beautifuly crafted sfilati. Shipping was very quick to New York. The detail and craftsmanship, down to the pouch, are extremely impressive. This knife pairs well with a suit due to 17cm size.

Rocco and Ching are the greatest- Rocco’s workmanship and presentation is more than can be expected.
I needed a gift rushed to me and Ching was able to do all possible to make that happen. I have bought on numerous occasions and will continue as nothing can beat the hand skilled craftsmanship that Rocco offers.
