We had a complicated move...

We had a complicated move - two properties to one location 200 miles away, multiple hutches and a large quantity of heavy plants. Robinson's were brilliant, from first enquiry, through survey process, to loading, moving and finally unloading. Nothing was too difficult for them. Team were friendly, polite, and extremely helpful. Whilst we never plan to move again, if we did, I would be calling Robinson's again.

Changing counties!

Our move was fairly complex, moving from Hampshire to Shropshire, into a slightly larger house but with fewer rooms so sorting room allocation was a challenge. In addition, the house is on a single track un adopted road that would not accept the removal van so we had to tranship from the large van into a smaller van throughout the move. In total it was 5 days! However, from initial contact with Lara, then Jo & Tony all the arrangements and associated costs were agreed. One the day, week, of the move Dave and his team also did a great job under difficult circumstances Throughout the process it was professional, efficient but with a friendly manner. Very happy in what was an eventful week. Well Done All.

Confident and cheerful.

Both men were happy and polite. They approached each aspect of the move with consideration and care and executing the day became so much more relaxing as a result. There were no delays and all was done with out error in less time than I expected.

Great experience with Robinsons

Great experience with Robinsons. The communication prior to the move was smooth and the team were always very responsive. On the day of our move, the two movers were very efficient at packing and friendly. We ended up having more items than originally quoted and was able to get a hold of Debbie, the Operations Manager, on a Saturday morning and she confirmed there would be no problem adding on the additional items for the additional cost incurred. We were quoted a 2-3 week process start to end and it ended up being 4, which honestly we were very happy with considering the challenges with shipments at the moment. Would definitely recommend Robinsons for international relocations!

Very good service

Very good service. The lane leading to our house was very narrow, but the team managed to reach the house and deliver the shipment very successfully. Very polite and helpful team. Everything delivered successfully

Highly Recommended

We were very happy with the service we received from Robinsons. All of the staff we dealt with were very friendly and helpful, the booking process was simple and straightforward.
We opted to pack our own contents and a large pile of boxes, tape and packing paper were delivered giving us plenty of time to pack, when we had finished unpacking the boxes were collected very promptly.
Removal day went very smoothly and should we plan to move again we wouldn’t hesitate in using the firm again.

From UK to EU and back again

From start to finish, very professional, friendly, great service. Given that everything was done remotely it must have been more difficult than normal but Robinsons delivered all round. Even came back to collect all the empty boxes. We left the UK in 1989 with Robinsons and they moved us back 32 years later. Cannot recommend them highly enough.

Did not finish the job! and really bad behavior from staff

I should note I had used Robinson's before and had a really positive experience but as you'll see below my experience was horrific so it based on what I've seen it feels like they've had a real degradation of quality of service.

Couldn't get a wardrobe up the stairs

didn't seem to have the right equipment (just tried to brute force everything).

They where paid to put up a bed but kept trying to claim this was not the case (took three attempts to get them to accept they had been paid to do so).

Parked in a disabled space...

Generally really rude and kept swearing

Despite moving in London in the middle of the Omicron spike not a mask between them.

By the end of the day had not finished the work with a sofabed wardrobe and running machine still to move in. In the case of the sofabed and running machine we where told this was as the handyman they sent (who would have had to take them apart) had left....the running machine was sent back to their storage and the other two items have been left in an inaccessible place so no idea when I will actually really move in

Updated on this front, there attempts to fix the above have been really amateurishly done. We were first told, they were trying get handyman in the next day to get at least one of the easier to shift items sorted but then no sign of him and we ended up with a slot for all three items to get shifted next Thursday (not ideal given that was the better part of a week's delay). But the previously quite competent case manager seems to have absolutely fallen apart she keeps missing elements of emails and has now three times failed to realise that she needs to include moving the wardrobe (it was successfully moved into the house but to the wrong part of it so is currently stuck in the sitting room when it needs to go too well the bedroom), on the third attempt at spelling it out to her this seems to have finally sunk but it is supremely frustrating to show the lack of care and attention Robinson shows even when they're trying to clean up their own mistakes and you'd expect them to be extra careful/sure of getting everything right.

But the worst bit came at the end of the day of the move, we made it clear as they had finished the work we weren't going to sign to say it had been done I suddenly heard I think the manager of the group (he was in a slightly different uniform and seemed to be directing the rest) trying to outline what some paperwork was to my pensioner mother who had been helping me move (I find moving quite tricky due to a disability).

I came out to see him looming over her and trying to get her to sign to say the work had been done (even though I had repeatedly told him I wouldn't do so and for that matter he know she wasn't actually the client I was). I came over to see what was going on and first he stepped back put his arm to the side and try to block my way I stepped to the other side and took the piece of paper to see what he was trying to get her to sigh. I should note for additional context I have a coordination disability so I'm quite prone to falls so made very sure I didn't get too close to him as I could see at this stage he was getting quite irate

However despite lunging forward to grab the piece of paper (hard enough I nearly fell over) and running off with it while shouting 'I'm taking my paperwork'.....

I will note he failed to get the signature he wanted from anyone.

I've dealt with rubbish removal people before but I've never dealt with someone who made me feel physically unsafe, so needless to say would suggest avoiding them.

Exceptional Service Every Step of the Way

Robinsons Relocation has provided us with OUTSTANDING service from the start of this international move (our possessions are currently on route to Los Angeles via ship). Ian Brown was our first point of contact and he helped to organise the video survey or our goods with his colleague Ben Wright and once we agreed to use the services of Robinsons Relocation (we considered in detail estimates from 7 different international removals companies) he then turned over the removal to Debbie Smith who supported and guided us through the actual removals process...both Ben and Debbie were amazing in their support of the very stressful process of moving abroad. Robinsons outsource the movers from MDS and managed by Scott Donald Tony Sizer at Robinson's liaises with him. The moving team sent out over the two day move included; Charlie, Paul, Jamie & Bradley who were nothing short of exceptional. They tackled difficult & special items with care, consideration and professionalism. Their skill was self-evident. We anticipated high standards from Robinsons but their work has far exceeded expectations. DO NOT HESITATE TO USE THEM for a move abroad

Our 3 day move safe and sound with Robinson's

We recently moved home with Robinson's. It was a three day move due to the distance we were moving. I have to say that they gave us an excellent all round service from our initial point of contact with them to delivering our worldly goods to our new home. We were extremely impressed with how professional the company was and how well they communicated with us at all stages of the move. We always felt that we were in good hands. If we were ever to move house again we would definitely make Robinson's our first call. Well done Robinson's and a special thank you to Lara.

A job well done

Robinsons Relocation were responsible for the packing, as well as the delivery, of the contents of our entire house, garden, sheds and garage to a new home. Two and a half days of wrapping, packing and loading, followed by one and a half days of unloading with access problems to boot made for a frantic week.
I can only praise the speed and carefulness of the packing process, the diligence of the loading and unloading and the consideration afforded us during all of that time.
I would have no hesitation in recommending Robinsons

The Big Move

This move was a very significant event for us in our advancing years, and we were very grateful for the advice and help which we got from Robinsons right from the start. The operation went as smoothly as these things can; nothing was too much trouble and there was only one, very minor, breakage. We think we made the right decision.

Friendly, helpful and punctual

Really good support from the Robinsons team through our relocation. Very friendly and helpful staff. Our possessions arrived when they were meant to and in the condition they were meant to (excluding a couple of minor breakages).

My move to Overton

The Robinson crew turned up on time to box me up for my move, were very helpful, friendly and willing, asking questions along the way how I would like things done.
The next day moving in went much the same way without any problems although I did feel a floor covering could have been laid down especially in the hallway to protect the new carpet that had been laid the day before from the continual in and out of furniture and boxes.

smooth move

Completely satisfied with the organisation, logistics and operatives who were positive and helpful making the move go smoothly.

We packed the items ourselves and on unpacking found only one breakage of a glass.

However our stick upright cleaner did get broken during the move.

A great move ruined by negligence

We’ve used Robinsons for two house moves, 14 years apart. The first was fantastic which is why we went back to them so much later. This time we needed things to go into storage and Covid restrictions back in March made the move out very stressfu but we thought everything would be ok. I was on my own in the house with the guys doing the packing to limit the risks but this turned out to be a massive mistake because I wasn’t able to keep an eye on what they we’re doing. When we eventually moved into our new house, we discovered just how little care had been taken with the packing. Items that had been disassembled, including the kids’ bunk beds had parts missing and lots of things had been thrown into boxes together. We raised the problem straight away and we’re told the insurance would cover it. We were also told that, as we verbally raised the problem items within 7 days, we could go through everything else and put the claim in later. Now we’ve finally put in the claim, Robinsons have told us, contrary to their T&Cs, that we needed to list all the problem items in writing within 7 days despite what they had told us. This means they are refusing to reimburse us for the damage down to our home PCs which were destroyed, a smashed monitor and won’t even cover the bunk beds that were highlighted, by their own staff, as a problem on the day we moved in. All of this goes to show that they great when things go well but are unwilling to make things right when their stuff are negligent.
