Finally had an excuse to try The Richmond!

I have wanted an excuse to try this pub and after picking up a friend from the airport, we went there for dinner at 17:00.
Wow! Beautiful pub, nice inside, good atmosphere too. The food is just delicious!! And at £13.99 for 2 courses, the price is incredible compared to many. And the other diners were of the kind that understand how to behave in a restaurant, especially with their kids. Good experience and will absolutely return to try something different on the menu The Lasagne was delicious!

Could improve

We recently spent one night in this hotel. Overall an OK experience but there are areas to be improved.
Pros - friendly helpful staff, good food, good service in the evening restaurant. Fridge with water and fresh milk. Large TV with great choice of channels. Great location for museums and train station but immediate surroundings aren't great.
Cons- lift is opposite the entrance and is not staffed. So anyone has access to any floor without being stopped.
1st room air con was not working, changed rooms. 2nd room bathroom smelt, very small room, uncomfortable bed.
Breakfast - food was fine but staff started to clear table whilst were still eating. This entailed leaving over us and interrupting our eating. Had I failed to stop putting something to my mouth I would have caught the waitress's sleeve.

Nice looking apart-hotel but terrible …

Nice looking apart-hotel but terrible customer service. Spoken to Amelia several times on reservations and she is utterly awful; rude, arrogant and unbelievably snotty. Not a good image for front-of-house and in serious need of some customer service training. So unprofessional.
