Balloon festival Saturday
Horrendous. £15 each to walk around a wet, cold field. There were 3 balloons out of the 35 advertised, they were tethered for about 5 minutes each. There was 0 announcement made about how all the pilots had gone home. Advertised as balloons tethered throughout the day and that was NOT the case. Understandable they couldn't lift off, but they could have been tethered. Utter waste of time and money. Could have gone on stage to say sorry there won't be any balloons, but they deliberately didn't so you would have to stay all day. Deleted all negative feedback on their Facebook page then proceeded to post videos of the Friday night seemingly trying to pass it off as Saturday. Only updated the page an hour after the balloons were meant to be there. If there were other things balloon related that would have made it slightly better. For a balloon festival there was nothing, no history on hot air balloons, no balloon animals etc That would have at least been related to the 'festival' theme. Overall a total scam and shambles. Should be ashamed
Awful
Awful, almost fraudulent with the false advertisements for the balloon festival, meant to be 25 plus hot air balloons tethered and then flown, we saw 3 tethered for 10 mins and one got about 6 foot off the ground... paid nearly £70 to get in then had to pay for rides on top of that!
If I could give 0 stars I would
If I could give 0 stars I would. We were booked for the Sunday evening Monster Trucks show, paid for show and parking. Drove into the venue and waited in a huge queue for 20-30mins. A staff member came and told everyone that due to health and safety the show was cancelled as the ground was too wet. We were told we couldn't enter the venue and to turn around and leave. We would be issued a refund. We did. No refund arrived. I noticed a post on the Facebook page after this stating that they had had to cancel the event due to the ground being too wet. After a week no sign of a refund, called Richardsons who finally answered the phone, the man told me that all refunds had to be requested via facebook messenger on the event page, as they only dealt with sales and couldn't do anything. I said I would rather not use Facebook but he hung up on me. So I sent a message, it was read and ignored, no response at all. I then messaged again a week later, nothing. I have just rung the office again and no answer. Someone did ring me back and when I explained the situation he tried to tell me the man turning everyone away was wrong and the event wasn't cancelled, he then changed his story to say it wasn't cancelled but was postponed - pretty much the same thing as they were just telling people to come along the next day with tickets apparently and we could have come along then. I explained that hadn't been given as an option and even if it was we wouldn't make that date and I just wanted a refund. He then told me he didn't need to listen to me getting mad with him (note I did not shout I just stood my ground!) and told me I wouldn't get a refund and hung up. I have now disputed the payment through the bank. This seems like a complete con/fraud - cancel the event and keep the money? I would not go anywhere near an event by these people again. It is disgusting. I think they are hoping people won't bother to fight for their money back so they can keep the majority of it. Disgusting behaviour

Very disappointing communication and customer service from this company. Booked for the monster trucks on Sun 5 May. The event was cancelled due to the weather. They did not inform anyone in advance, so we only found out when we arrived. And they have point blank refused to give out any refunds. We have taken it up with TicketSource and are now following up with the bank.

Incredibly disappointing! Avoid!!
I am beyond disappointed about our visit to Newcastle Monster Trucks! When we booked tickets, nowhere did it mention that the start time of the later event on each day (4pm doors open) would the truck event not start til 6.30pm!! We have a 1 year old whose bedtime is 7.30pm so just wouldn't work for us. You should've mentioned that when advertising the tickets so its false advertising! Also you stated that rides accepted card, this was NOT true so we had to use what little cash we had and we ran out quickly. The state of the field being ridiculously muddy was awful, could barely manoeuvre our pushchair around. The toilets were disgusting, my autistic 5 year old refused to use them. We had to leave at 5.15pm as we had run out of money for the rides so my 5 year old was getting stressed and close to a meltdown and nowhere for us to sit as just mud everywhere! I would not have expected when we paid close to £30 for 3 tickets and parking that there would only be 30mins of monster trucks and not til 6.30, 2.5 hours into the start time!! We basically did NOT get what we paid for at all simply because you were not transparent about the monster truck show! We will not be going again or attending any other events run by you. Very disappointed and disappointed 5 year old

Monster Truck event Newcastle
Attended the monster truck event this morning in Newcastle and what a shambles. Tickets both for parking and entry unchecked a free for all so why bother preordering. The number of disabled people in wheelchairs trying to get through muddy fields and when I asked one I was told no facility was made for disabled people both with parking and ablution/wc facilities. Don’t waste time or money on this lot. Pricing for rides extortionate.
