Bob was very helpful & made the process as smooth as possible Couldn't have asked for a more patient person! We had been talking about the reverse mortgage for a while, and finally made the decision to go ahead with it this year. He made sure we understood the process, before we signed anything. We are both in our early 80's, and it made sense to use some of the equity from the house to make improvements while we're still living in it. We love where we live and want to enjoy it for as long as we are able.

Excellent information from Reverse Mortgage Pros
I had initially reached out to Bloom Finance (brokers), Equitable Bank and Home Equity Bank (the only two Canadian banks that provide reverse mortgages) directly.
However, I also reached out to Mich Sneddon from Reverse Mortgage Pros online and was very impressed with the swiftness of Bob Urbanovitch responding to me and the interactions we had.
Mich, your videos are excellent in clarifying a lot of the questions I had and were extremely informative.
I would highly recommend reaching out to Reverse Mortgage Pros and engaging them to explain this mortgage product and the difference in Canada versus the US.
In addition I would encourage you to engage them as brokers to get you the best deal from the very limited number of Canadian banks that provide this product to enable access to the equity in your home without having to sell and right size.
