Reverb is solid. It's a good platform for buying and selling music gear. Good, not great. As a seller, the good is that the negotiated shipping prices make it reasonable to get gear to a buyer easily... See more

When Reverb launched in 2013, it was founded on the principle that buying and selling musical instruments should be easy and affordable. Since then we’ve become a thriving community that connects millions of people around the world to the gear and the inspiration needed to make music. From beginner musicians to collectors, mom-and-pop shops to large retailers, and popular manufacturers to boutique builders and luthiers, millions of buyers and sellers use the site and app. You might even run into some of your favorite rock stars on Reverb!

Lack of urgency + care around items lost by DPD
I am currently dealing with Reverb's customer service team, due to DPD being unable to locate my item.
I will update this review once the issue has been resolved, but I want to flag my concerns for anyone considering buying from this platform. First, there is no way to actually speak to a human, and when you do get through to someone they exit the chat before you've even had the chance to ask follow up questions about procedures. This is incredibly frustrating, given the value of the items being bought on the platform. Second, it doesn't feel like cases are being given the urgency they deserve. I have a package that is 'lost' somewhere in the DPD depot and the responsibility is with Reverb to escalate this issue with DPD in order to locate it. Reverb have stated this could take 5 working days, which just feels completely inadequate
Dependent on the outcome, I will update this but I want to flag as a first time user of Reverb. I'm not impressed with the level of service, and if this is something you are worried about then I'd think carefully about ordering on the platform
An arrogant and very expensive platform
Back in the days the Reverb platform was a serious shop. Now it has turned into scammers paradise with no support for the sellers and the only focus area seems to be increasing the fees without any explanation and absolutely no vaule for the sellers.
They are becomming too arrogangt to answer simple questions from human beeings and the only auto reply after paying all their extremely expensive fees is:
Hi there,
Thanks for getting in touch. Reverb does not respond to direct emails, so your message has not been routed to our Customer Experience team.
If you need additional assistance, we recommend visiting the Reverb Help Center where you can find quick answers to commonly asked questions about buying and selling on Reverb:

Totally arrogant and useless!
20% of the site is scammers
Don't bother
I have to admit, out of around 100 items, I have only sold 1.
The rest sold on the most popular selling and auction site!
o whom it may concern:
o whom it may concern:
These damn idiots do not accept Swiss IBAN numbers; I wonder why they are active in our country if they discriminate against our banking system.
For the third time, they have requested that I reconnect my PayPal account, which results in recurring new T&Cs for PayPal users.
Since I uploaded my instrument with them, I have received 5 messages from interested parties, every single one of whom was a scammer; responses always ended with: "This customer has closed their Reverb account."
Their entire website and the unreliable way they operate should result in their license being revoked and their shop being struck from the commercial register. Although I defined a fixed price, I see my instrument online with a total of 3 different price specifications; this has nothing to do with percentage reduction pushing, but rather your inability to update the site.
On your Reverb service, practically only fake users get in touch who want to get hold of my account data and PayPal data but ultimately have no real interest in purchasing an instrument. In other words: your online service is completely dubious; you have no consistency one can rely on; you change your policies like others change their underwear—in short: your service is crap.
Very convenient

Great Site for Musicians to Buy and Sell Securely, if a fee heavy.
I've bought and sold through Reverb and I can say that the shopping and selling experience have been excellent.
While the selling fees are a bit high (come on Reverb team! ;) ), the security, follow through and convenience of the site outweigh the expense, especially in relation to shipping costs/options and buyer/seller security and recourse.
Trustworthiness
Trustworthiness, professionalism and top service quality. Highly recommended. Thank you!

Always a great experience purchasing…
Always a great experience purchasing from reverb have not had a bad product sent to me yet. Thank you.
Honestly...
Honestly, I haven't had enough bad experiences with Reverb consignors to feel like I can really judge how well the site handles bad situations. That in and of itself probably speaks volumes, but I CAN say that in the one or two touchy situations I've encountered, Reverb seemed MUCH more concerned with setting things right than they were with covering their own asses.
The Reverb Experience
I have been purchasing instruments and equipment on Reverb for many years. Happy with every purchase. They offer vintage quality instruments and equipment. I have been very happy with my purchases over the years.
Thank you Reverb.

Reverb is so great because it gives you the opportunity to purchase music gear at a used price and if you don't like it you can just sell it yourself. They make searching, selling, and buying very easy.
Great for guitar/music gear searches
Never had any issues. I've bought things 2 times and both times came fast with a tracking number. Offers clear communication with sellers and great experience
Reverb is a great platform with a few…
Reverb is a great platform with a few caveats.
They have an extremely stringent return policy
It is difficult to determine quickly if a seller offers returns
If they don’t offer returns you’re stuck with instrument
Even when they do offer returns it’s only a 7 day window.
However, They have a lot of good stuff.
The approach protects sellers.
