Horrible quality

Ever dropping quality with ever increasing prices. We purchased a dining table and a coffee table for fully covered outdoor use. I guess our thousands of dollars worth of tables were extremely humidity sensitive. In a few months they started rotting and cracking, exposing MVF, not even plywood! The price tag on this POS is unbelievable! To the dumpster they go…

We are on our third defective mirror delivery and the driver told us that if we didn’t accept the damaged mirror it counts against them (the drivers). APPALLED is an understatement. The HELL we care about your rating after spending 4 grand on a mirror. Then he proceed to ask my gf if she was in any films and where they were staying in a hotel. I asked the property for video evidence as all of this was recorded should they ever show up again- WOAH!

Horrible Customer Service – RH Tyson Galleria

I had an extremely disappointing experience at RH Tyson Galleria — twice. During both visits, no one bothered to approach or offer assistance. When I finally asked for help, the response was rude, dismissive, and made me feel as if I wasn’t even a customer.

I was there to purchase bedroom and patio furniture worth several thousand dollars, but based on the staff’s attitude and lack of professionalism, I decided not to move forward with the purchase. Experiencing the same behavior on two separate visits confirms this is not a one-off issue, but a pattern.

For a brand that positions itself as premium and luxury, this level of customer service is unacceptable. Management seriously needs to address this before more customers choose to take their business elsewhere. I will be shopping at other retailers where customers are actually valued.

The GOLD STANDARD of companies

We have been purchasing items from Restoration Hardware for 20 years... and have never had even one complaint or disappointment in either their products or their customer service.
From our perspective they are the GOLD STANDARD when it comes to high quality furnishings and treatment of their customers.

Don't purchase Maxwell sofa from RH!

I purchased a few items from RH about 2 years ago when I needed to furnish my new condo. I bought Velvet curtains for my windows ($7K), Maxwell Sofa ($5K), Swivel chair (over $2K), a side board ($1.5K), etc. While I love their stuff, the Maxwell sofa gave me sacroiliac joint dysfunction. It took me a better part of two years to figure out that it was the sofa causing me SO much pain. My sofa is in pristine condition (It is white color and I live by myself, no kids, pets, etc and it is still like NEW) because I cannot sit on it for too long let alone take a nap on it! It took me (a physician) and my primary care doctor quite some time to figure out that it was my sofa causing me all this pain. I am well aware that I made my purchase 2 years ago, however, if it was well made, I should NOT have had issue with it. I am not trying to swap out a worn out sofa for a new one but this thing feels like it is FULL of ROCKS! Not surprising they weren't very nice about working with me. NOT HAPPY WITH RH and I WON'T BE GOING BACK TO THEM!

West Palm Beach is abysmal

West Palm Beach is abysmal. Customer service is absolutely horrendous. Rude, dismissive, combative in spite of the fact we have spent well into the mid 6 figure range in 2 states. I will say Colorado was amazing. We have been very disappointed in the West Palm Beach location. Much more to say, and recommend other options.

Unsatisfactory Service from HR

We are very disappointed with the service from Restoration Hardware (HR). While the furniture quality is excellent, messages are ignored, calls are no returns, and it seems there is no care of passion for their work.

What's happened

What's happened. The quality of the furniture has gotten so bad, poor workmanship. We waited over 4 months to receive the order that came in damaged. They delivered a replacement that was worst than the first. This order takes two trucks and 4 men. they just don't care. Give your local discount furniture store a chance, i believe you will get a better quality product.

Overall wonderful experience

Overall wonderful experience. We've purchased more than $50K worth of furniture in the past year and everything from the in-store experience to delivery and customer support has been excellent. I cannot say enough good things about this company and the quality of the pieces we've received.

RH is the worst most expensive…

RH is the worst most expensive furniture company. This is a continuation of a review I had already done. I finally received the 'quote' for a new slipcover for a RH discontinued sofa. The sofa itself is in perfect condition. The point of buying is slipcover sofa is ease of replacement / change in decor color or whatever. Well the quote just for the slipcover was $2,200 - ridiculous and RH does not even care. I can purchase a new sofa on sale for that price.

Their website is so misleading it's a joke. The members price is only their sale price despite them implying that the sale discount is over and above their members price. They want £200 to become a member with no benefits other than unlocking their sale price. Complete waste of time. They shouldn't be allowed to trade....

Restaurant not flexible or vegetarian friendly

Beyond surprise and disappointment that any customer facing business can be so poor. We booked the restaurant at the New York branch from the UK. For all of us, we were looking forward to a special lunch. As it happens the company (apparently from the CEO) don’t want to cater for vegetarians. One of us simply wanted to substitute the chicken and bacon in a salad for asparagus (on menu as a side dish). To cut it short, they said it was possible but they refused to do it. The manager was inflexible, dismissive and had no comprehension of customer service. Sadly we all left with hungry tummies after the most bizarre conversation about how they won’t accommodate our very flexible vegetarian friend. For all of us it’s fallen from grace.

Worst Quality & Service

Most items got faulty within one year - The wiring of lighting fixtures were done horribly with no safety standards whatsoever. Customer service is one of the worst teams I have seen. I will not recommend anyone to buy from this horrible company who neither has quality nor customer service. They sell products with exorbitant prices.

RH Has Been Good to Us…

While I cannot comment on their customer service nowadays, but I have ordered more than several items from Restoration Hardware when we moved in several years ago - our bed, mattress, curtains, curtain rods and hooks, our bathroom sink, and mirrors. Therefore, based on all these items in our home - they’re still holding up and in great shape. The customer service experience we’ve experienced were solid and while yes, there were a couple of delays - the items were fulfilled eventually. We are planning on ordering a couple more items from them soon and let’s just hope they’re still as solid as before.

Excellent Experience

We purchased several items from RH, and I have to say, they truly have their act together. From our experience working with an interior designer, Rob, at the Melrose showroom in LA to the seamless selection process, delivery, and post-delivery service, it was one of the best retail experiences I’ve had. Communication was excellent throughout, and every interaction was with knowledgeable, professional people. Well done! The furniture itself appears well-made and has held up beautifully so far.

Bought 20+ bath towels from them less than 6 years ago. All of the towels have rips and tears. Meanwhile my 26 year-old Ralph Lauren towels look and feel great.

AND for the past 5+ years I have called and asked RH NOT to send me their 5 pound tree killing catalog. Every year the damn thing arrives.

I HATE RH.

Don’t believe their one-time delivery fee policy.

Over the past six months I have ordered from RH two couches, 4 swivel chairs, a dining room table and 8 chairs, an oversized coffee table and end table, and pendant lighting for a total of well over $40k. It was all part of renovation to my home, with the last room being the master bedroom. I was told there would be a one-time delivery fee, but when I was charged another $299 for the bedroom delivery and asked that it be credited, I was told they “waived the delivery fee several times already” and refused to issue a credit. It didn’t matter what I had spent, or the fact that many of the deliveries were due to their out of stock items or special orders. I cancelled the order, and that was fine with them. Spend your hard earned dollars elsewhere.
