All the meat I have used to date has been delicious. I have ordered both beef and pork. In my opinion, the price is reasonable. Purchasing from this company gives me piece of mind that I'm not supporting Argentina meat, nor the tariff free mystery meat.

Hey Valerie! We’re super happy that your two Great Pyrenees are enjoying the Bark Box! We recommend giving the rib bones raw and uncooked because cooked bones can become brittle and may splinter. Please supervise them while they’re enjoying a bone and take it away once it becomes small enough to swallow. Since your pups tend to eat the entire bone, we also recommend checking with your veterinarian about what is safest for them. Having you and your pups with us is such a blessing! Packing for shipping needs improvement
The meat tastes wonderful and is good quality however nearly all of my packages were leaking and had lost the air seal. Not only is that messy it means I can’t store it very long in the freezer. They should layer the meat with some paper or cardboard in between as this has happened with my previous delivery as well.

We’re so happy to hear you were pleased with the meat and so sorry about the issue with your packaging. Unfortunately, we do realize this happens from time to time and I’m very sorry about that. That’s why inside your box we place a paper called “Good Things to Know” with some very important information about your products when they arrive. We also have this stated on our website under our FAQ section. The issue you had is one of them listed. During the shipping process, our boxes can take quite a beating. The frozen meat moves around, especially as the dry ice starts to dissipate. The packaging can become very hard and brittle at times due to the extreme cold temperatures inside the box and with the extreme movement of the boxes, the packages rub against each other which can cause micro holes, tears or damage to occur. Please know that we do carefully examine each package before placing into a box and would never place a package that has any damage or a broken seal inside the box. This only happens during transit. It is still completely safe to eat and in no way will degrade the taste or quality of the meat and does not need to be discarded. This is why on the “Good Things to Know” paper, we state to make sure and place a plate underneath your meat when thawing. Again, I’m very sorry about that Amy. We don’t like it when this happens either but it’s extremely hard to ship frozen products with the amount of abuse the box goes through before it reaches the customer.

Great flavor, small proportions.
The NY Strips have outstanding flavor, however the cut is very small. Each steak I got weighed right around 9 ounces. Then once you cut off the large fat strip like I needed to for the meal tonight, the actual weight is less than 7 ounces. I will continue to have every now and then, but the value isn't there to have on a regular basis.

We try our hardest for consistency but these are part of the challenges of raising animals regeneratively and not conventionally. Conventional beef will almost always fit into a perfect mold each time, same size, shape, consistency, but for us that is nearly impossible. Each beef we deliver is grass fed and finished from the day it’s born to when it is harvested and this sometimes creates inconsistent sizes in the primal cuts amongst animals and may occasionally affect appearance, weight and thickness of individual steak cuts. But we do encourage reaching out with photos so that we can get a better understanding of what you received. Again, I’m very sorry about that Brandon. I hope you know how grateful we are to you for your support for our small family farms and regenerative agriculture. It truly does mean the world to us! Thank you so much!🙏🏻🥰
