Having spent many years in the building trade, I have always carried out any remedial work on our houses myself. Having well passed my allotted span of three score years and ten, my wife finally convinced me to get people in to repoint our stone built house, a job that needed to be done using lime mortar.

Neil from Repointing 4U came out promptly to survey the work and gave us a competitive quote within a few days.

Despite an initial delay in start date, due to an unexpected extension to a job, the team arrived when they said they would and immediately set to work.

These guys are polite, efficient and have an old fashioned work ethic which is hard to find these days. They carried out the work to a high standard, with respect to us and our property and were fastidious in keeping their work area clean and tidy.

Highly recommended - for best results, supply copious amounts of tea & coffee!

Neil and his team came and repointed out Chimney, very professional and did a fantastic job.

From initial contact, to the quote and then undertaking the works, Neil and the team have been fantastic to contract with. Neil has built a great team who take pride in their work and pay attention to all the details to ensure we got a first class finish to our job. Ty made light work of grinding out all the joints, Neil worked his magic in repairing the wall cracks and replacing broken bricks and then Luke expertly pointed it all up with lime mortar, all of which has significantly improved the appearance of our 1850's house. I personally recommend Repointing4u to anyone considering similar work.

Neil and his team have just done a fantastic job of repointing our Victorian semi using lime mortar. Nothing was too much trouble and they did a great job of tidying up afterward. Neil even pointed out and offered to fix a small issue on our roof that we hadn't noticed! We have another patch of repointing left to do, so we'll be inviting Neil back in the new year.

This company came far to lime mortar the front of my terraced home, they also replaced my traditional gutter, brackets and several broken bricks.
They did an excellent job and transformed it beyond my expectations.
Once my sash windows and front door are fitted I think I'll be sending them a photo, so we all can appreciate their part in traditional restoration of old British homes.

Neil and the team have done a brilliant job of our repointing on a Duke of Sutherland cottage. They did the property in traditional lime mortar to match the original method and the difference it has made is unbelievable.
They were tidy from start to finish and also went above and beyond and changed some bricks where the face had blown which was unexpected.

I don't often leave reviews for anything or anyone but Neil and his team at Repoitning4u were incredible to work with. I required two technically complicated areas of the property to be repointed with some stitching bars being added here and there. Right from the first message Neil was responsive, communicate and turned up exactly when he said he would. They have since completed another job for me all with the same levels of communication, skill and service. Neil is the standard all trades should aspire to and I will always recommend him and his team to anyone who requires his services. I think it would be fair to say that that Neil and his Team (Repointing4u.co.uk) are one of the best companies we have ever used for work on our house.
The exposed south and west sides needed attention where some of the pointing had loosened and even fallen out in places. We tried a few local companies who never even responded to messages, then we found this company's advert, Neil called back and and came out to do a quote on a Sunday afternoon, and gave us a price the next day.
Throughout the process from quotation to completion Neil has kept to his commitments, coming when he said he would and doing a qreat job, including work that was not in the original quote at no extra cost. He spent a lot of time matching the mortar colour (a pinky white) which looks good, much better that grey used in an earlier repair which he fixed for us. He left the site in a clean and tidy state. The quality of the repointing is excellent, and while the work should see me out I would happily use his firm again.

My home is an old barn with original lime mortar which had disappeared over time. Part had been really badly repointed so whole house desperately need some attention.

Quote provided quickly and works started on time. Friendly family team with great friendly lads who work hard and are meticulous with finish. They tidy up each day and the end result is better than I could have ever imagined. My house has been completely repointed and damaged bricks cut out and replaced with reclaimed bricks to match existing.

I have been happy to recommend to other local friends who will be using their services over the next few months.

I recently had some repointing done on my 1930s property. Neil was very informative when he came to quote, explained the process and we agreed on a colour of lime mortar that would look best.
I’m over the moon with the repointing - it looks brilliant, brings up the colour of the bricks beautifully and looks transformed! Wish I’d got it done sooner! Will definitely have Neil and his team back to do more when we progress with further elevations on our renovation.
