Replicate.com has no customer support

Replicate.com has no real customer support. I've been using Replicate for a while and have run into a couple of serious issues. One of them is still ongoing after several days. After reaching out for help, I got nothing: no response, no acknowledgment. Nada.

If you're building anything and spending real money on their platform, know that you're completely on your own when things go wrong.

I heard this was good

I heard this was good, but how can you know?

I signed in excited to use this - except I can't sign in. I have been stuck in an hour loop trying to create a GitHub account where it keeps saying my Captcha isn't right ( the many many times I've done the stupid puzzles is right) and I get nowhere. Seems a 'bug' that's well over 3 years old from a quick Google.

you may argue, not replicate's fault. Except for the only way I can create an account is via GitHub. I give up - and am going to use Nano Banana which same person told me is also good...

1 Star – Unauthorised Usage, No Response, Then Account Disabled

My Replicate account was hacked and used without my permission — six separate unauthorised runs of Veo 3 video creation appeared on my billing history.

I contacted Replicate multiple times by email explaining that my account had been compromised, but I never received any reply or assistance. Instead, they sent me automated payment demands and then disabled my account for non-payment of charges I didn’t make.

I can prove the usage wasn’t mine and have the billing emails from Replicate showing the issue. Unfortunately, there was zero customer service and no investigation into the security breach.

Very disappointing experience — genuine users should not be punished for being hacked.

Untrustworthy service

This service is rapidly slipping. I ran AI models on this service with no overages for over a year. I started to notice some price adjustments that were not advertised on the models being run, which were higher than expected. I set my spending limit from $10 to $5 to $1 over the course of six months. This allowed me to control how much I would spend without the model changing the price.

In November 2024, I noticed a model was able to bypass my spending limit settings, billing me for $5 more than expected. I contacted customer support, but no one responded. I simply cut my usage to about 10 percent for the next few months, spending no more than $1 in December 2024. This worked well until the team at Replicate started sending out emails about new models. I tried these models and found the pricing slightly off, and I was charged $1.13 in May 2025. They tried this again in June with an email about a new Google model. I tried a few of their models and never reached my $1 limit set.

Out of curiosity, I logged in to check my spending, and sure enough, I was charged $8 by the Google model, bypassing my set spending limit by $7. These guys used to be really hands-off and cool; the models were very inexpensive and worked well. I have no idea what has happened since December 2024, but it can't be good for me. The big players have joined the party, and fees have skyrocketed. I would stay far away from these guys in the future, as my most recent spending has been adjusted by Replicate to bypass my $1 limit. It's concerning what could happen if these guys can charge what they want without your knowledge. This service is a "dead man’s ship"
