3 RepairPal shops; 3 misdiagnoses; 3 overcharges; 33 days without car
3 RepairPal shops and 3 misdiagnoses;3 out of 3 shops made me pay out-of-pocket for tax and shop fees which I later found out was against my warranty contract; Total time without my car 33 days; Total times RepairPal shop "fixed" the problem only to be later stranded and need a tow: 3. Finally had to tow my vehicle from a RepairPal shop to a dealer (at my expense). Dealer found the real problem in under 10 minutes during the visual inspection (fried wiring harness).

Quick Response & Clearly Explained!
The service was very good and clear in providing me a solution to my questions! I had questions regarding the use of RepairPal and how the documentation was maintained and accessible after a repair had been completed. The Chat service provided me with a direct phone number that I can call to obtain further directions to navigating the CarMax Extended Warranty.

Repair Pal estimate was not honored.
The Repair Pal estimate was $301 to $345. When I got to the shop, they quoted me $848. When I reminded them that I was using Repair Pal, I was told that Repair Pal could not tell them what to charge. They had a large sign in their widow that said Repair Pal Certified. I went online to look at the agreement between Shops and Repair Pal, and saw that the shop was suppose to honor the Repair Pal estimates. I contacted Repair Pal, but ultimately got no satisfactory resolution. I eventually had the repair completed at the Ford dealership for $450. This was about 3 years ago, and I understand that they are under new ownership. I will give them another try, to see if they live up to their published estimates. I need my air conditioner repaired, and their estimate is reasonable.
