With a much used lens out of action and a holiday looming, I contacted Fixation and arranged to deliver my lens to my location Wex store. Thankfully the repair was completed quickly (and less than the anticipated fee) and returned directly to me before we left on holiday! A very positive experience for me!
Easy process from start to finish. Also didn't take long to get fixed. Clear instructions/solution provided when the problem was assessed. Also easy to get to from Vauxhall station.
Simply Superb. From requesting a repair to receiving back my equipment. Every part of the process ran very smoothly. Was kept up to date on how things were progressing from when the parts were ordered to completing the repair to delivery back to me. The very kindly returned my equipment a week later than scheduled as I was away and there was no one to take in the delivery In my absence. My equipment was delivered back on the date agreed even down to an hour time slot. My equipment is now like new and works perfectly again. Will be definitely sending my equipment repairs back to fixation in the future and will highly recommend their services to everyone. First class certainly comes as standard.
Excellent communication and very fast service.
I sent in my Sony RX100 V for repair due to a stuck lens zoom mechanism. It was promptly diagnosed, and a list of the parts needed for repair and a cost estimate provided. I approved the estimate and the repair job was started quickly. Understandably, there was a short delay whilst the parts were ordered.
The camera was repaired carefully, arrived back securely packaged, and is now fully operational. The repair cost was as stated in the estimate, plus the cost of returning the item to me. From repair approval to receiving the camera back took just over a month.
The service provided overall was very good, but if there is one thing to improve it would be communicating updates on progress. During the repair process, I did not receive any indication on how things were progressing or when the repair would be complete. After a month, I contacted Fixation to find out how things were going and then they were able to give an expected completion date.

I went into the showroom to ask about a problem I was having with a lens. The staff quickly explained that it was how I was using the lens with the camera. I then asked about a separate matter, which required the lens to be left and a quote would be given. As it transpired it required a broken part to be replaced and the lens recalibrated.
I decided to go ahead once the quote was received albeit not cheap but not unexpected for a Nikon lens.
The whole process took a few weeks and I was pleasantly surprised the final cost was much less than the original quote when they could have easily stuck to the original quote.
My dealings with Fixation have always been first class and the repairs have restored the lens to what I anticipated, thank you for a great job.

EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE - a repair part cost £15 to replace but the bill came to just over £220. When I called up to find out what the delay was, I was told no parts are in stock only then to find out 10mins later they had opened the wrong account 🤷🏽♂️. The camera has come back and it sometimes takes a long time to switch in- all original batteries.

We had a lens which needed to be repaired and serviced. The staff in the store were friendly and knowledgeable when we presented the faulty lens. They were able to assess the damage and sent the equipment off for repair. It didn't take long for the equipment to be repaired and returned.

I’m not sure why this says unprompted when I clicked on a link that was sent to me asking to leave a review!
Repair itself was done well (as far as I am aware so far anyway).
Communication was awful though. The estimate came through pretty quickly which was good but turns out they hadn’t done a complete check. On the latest day by which my lens should have been repaired, I emailed to ask when I could collect, I was told tomorrow which was fine. Later that day another email came through that just said click here to see your updated estimate. I opened it to find my estimate had trebled from nearly £400 to £1200! No explanation. I eventually found out that when they had begun the repair, they found further faults with the part. I feel like if an estimate is going to increase by that much, maybe this is something that should be discussed on the phone before sending an email like that out of the blue! I was told when the new required part arrived, I would be emailed a new collection date and would be informed of any delays. I emailed after the 10 working days to find out what the situation was, I was told the part had arrived but the technician was on annual leave, and did apologise for not informing of the delay.
I also asked for the broken parts to be returned when I collected my lens, which they agreed and this was on my repair notes. They were not available on collection, the lady on the desk found one bit and was told I would be sent the second part … 2 weeks on, no follow up email and still waiting for the second broken part to arrive with me!
Lens dropped off 14th May and collected 30th June
It won’t let me reply to your response so just to clarify - unusual request or not, you confirmed you would give me the parts back (I assume that they actually belong to me as I bought the lens!) so your response to this is redundant - this was a fault on your behalf. No one explained that the part you gave me was in the bin and no one notified me I couldn’t have the other part. I was told it would be mailed to me?! Once again poor communication- I had to be told because I’d left you a bad review? Would you have emailed me to tell me you threw the part away - because I have had nothing from you?
I didn’t say I couldn’t reject the new estimate, I was pointing out that you said I could collect the lens and then the next thing I got that day was a tripled estimate with no explanation. For the amount we pay I would expect much better customer service. The Wex store itself is good so why does this not continue onto the repair service?

My Sony RX100M7 had a fault with the flash unit, I've owned the camera for five years and wanted to repair rather than replace the camera. The Sony website suggested Fixation as a repair partner, so I contacted them, filled out a form explaining the issue and received an almost immediate estimate.
They will arrange the delivery to them, all you need to do is pack it up and send it off. Once they received it they lowered the estimate based on the exploration of the camera, they feed back through an email and send you a link to approve the repair cost.
They don't hold all the parts for the cameras that they repair, so some time is expected while they order the replacement parts. Unfortunately the first part didn't fix the issue and they needed to order more parts. They kept me informed via email and sent a revised cost for approval, this was just under the original estimate.
They did a really nice job, the camera came back fully working and clean, they also removed dust that had been sucked into the lens when it extends, I could see this in the images.
I'm really happy with the repair and the service received and should anything else happen to my camera I won't hesitate to send it to them.

Very happy with my experience with Fixation. My lens was with them for a while due to money being tight, there was no issues. Once I had the cash to start the repair it was done and sent back asap and the results were amazing! And at a fair price too.
