This company was absolutely flawless

This company was absolutely flawless. It was my first time driving abroad, I had my doubts as we all do.. however the staff were amazing, the process was seamless and the car was even better! Couldn’t have asked for more and the deposit was returned in minutes after dropping the car off. Thank you Rentsmart24!

Rented a car that broke down.

Rented Fiat Panda in Milan. Half way through 2 week trip pier steering went down
Rode in wrecker to Parma garage, then rented another car from Hertz.
RentSmart charged us for entire 2 weeks. After 3 months of back and forth with them and with Capital One, we got no result. RentSmart claimed we got our full two weeks of service, lied.
Do not rent from them or you will be taking a big chance ( we had insurance also, which did no good).

Palermo RentSmart24 Reccomendation

Easy and fast car rental. Helpful and nice employees. I reccomend Palermo station. It was my second car rental here and for sure not last. Cars are in good conditions. Shuttle bus is fast, 5-10minutes from airport is the parking.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY IN PALERMO

We used the service in Palermo and were charged nearly €400 for returning the car with miniscule scratches on the door. As a regular renter of vehicles in Italy and Europe it was clear that this company operates in a way to extract money from users. The only way to avoid this would have been to take detailed photos of every square cm of the car.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! DO NOT RETURN THE WARRANTY!!! LOOKING FOR EXCUSES NOT TO GIVE THE WARRANTY MONEY BACK!!!
I rented a vehicle in December 2024, and upon delivery, the man at the counter said to leave the key in the car, without coming to check the car.
I waited to receive the guarantee of 750 euros, but I received an email with a photo taken in the dark (blurry), as if the car was damaged by an attempt to break into the driver's lock (completely untrue) and to contact the company insurances. The car was delivered super ok and stayed in a private parking lot for 5 days

Do not use this company as they are…

Do not use this company as they are thieves.
I arrived at Linate airport at 10pm and the man at the desk spoke no English.
He tried to translate using his phone but many of the words he wrote had no meaning.
They had no printer to give me a copy of the contract so sent it by email.
I was surprised when I returned the car and found the man check the underside of the front bumper with a torch.
He then informed me there was a small scratch, which resulted in €310 of my deposit not being refunded.
This scratch was not done by me and I guess will also be charged to another customer.
The registration number of the car is GM910SG and the model is a Citroen C5 Aircross.

Do not rent from this company

Do not rent from this company. They steal your money because they work with a Broker who says a valid Credit card is enough but once you are here they Tell you it is Not enough and Charge you a price 3x Times the Broker price. Although you already paid the Broker the money for your rental car.

Rented from Malpensa airport

Rented from Malpensa airport. Collection from the terminal in a clean, spacious minibus was swift and easy. Check-in was performed online prior to arrival which allowed for the fast collection of keys. Staff were very pleasant and vehicle was presented in a good condition. Vehicle return was also easy. Overall, highly recommend.

Everything perfect!!

For me everything was perfect.they give me the car that i order.They speak english and they explain everything for the contract and further information that i ask for napoli.Fast transfer from the airport to their facilities and back.I will rent a car with them again if i will come back to napoli again!!

We booked an SUV

We booked an SUV, expecting the spacious and reliable car we needed, but when we arrived, they didn’t have the vehicle. Instead of upgrading us to something better, they downgraded us to a much smaller, less convenient car. To make matters worse, they refused to refund the price difference for the downgrade! Absolute scam.

This isn't just a one-time issue—our friends experienced the same thing. Clearly, this company has no respect for its customers and no proper system in place. Save yourself the headache and go elsewhere!

Disappointing and Unprofessional…

Disappointing and Unprofessional Experience

I had an extremely disappointing experience with this company. I booked a car and submitted all the required documents in advance. However, one day before the scheduled rental, I was informed that my documents were not acceptable, leaving me with no time to make alternative arrangements.

This last-minute notice was unprofessional and completely avoidable. If the company had reviewed my documents earlier, they could have informed me in time to cancel the reservation and avoid unnecessary stress. Instead, they canceled my reservation, kept the full payment, refused to issue any refund, and left me with no time to find an alternative car for my trip.

What’s worse, I was fully prepared to rent the car, and the issue they cited—a missing original license—was unreasonable. I provided a copy of my license along with my original international license, which has been accepted by every other car rental company I’ve worked with.

This experience felt like a deliberate attempt to take my money without providing any service. It’s disappointing that a company would operate in such an unethical manner, prioritizing profit over customer satisfaction.

I strongly advise others to think twice before renting from this company. This level of unprofessionalism is unacceptable, and I hope my review helps others avoid the frustration I experienced.
