We have been tenants of rent my home for the last 2 years and I have to say they have been brilliant - no complaints
We have been tenants with this agency for two years, and during this entire time we have repeatedly reported serious maintenance issues that have not been properly resolved.
One of the main problems has been the entrance door and gate lock. The entrance door is wooden and has been exposed to rain for two years. We repeatedly informed the agency that the door was swelling due to water damage and would eventually stop functioning properly. No preventive action was taken.
At the end of the second year, the door became so swollen that it would not open or close properly. A contractor was sent, but instead of replacing the damaged door, it was simply trimmed as a temporary fix. We clearly stated that the door needs proper replacement, yet nothing further has been done.
The lock situation is even worse. The lock literally came apart in our hands. It was replaced with a very cheap lock, which stopped working the next day. We have contacted the agency multiple times since then, but our emails are now being ignored. Currently, we cannot securely lock our home, which means we cannot leave the property without feeling unsafe.
Additionally, the bathroom walls are not tiled and are covered with wooden material that is now swollen due to water exposure. Instead of addressing this structural issue, the agency sent a contractor to paint walls that were not a concern.
We are extremely disappointed by the lack of responsibility, the poor-quality repairs, and the complete absence of communication. Basic security and proper maintenance should not require constant chasing from tenants.
We hope this review encourages the agency to finally take responsibility and properly resolve these long-standing issues.
We lived at this property for almost two years and had a genuinely positive experience throughout. From start to finish, the Rent My Home team were professional, kind, and efficient.
Whenever we had a question or needed assistance, the staff were approachable, respectful, and always willing to help — whether in person or at the office, even close to closing time.
A special mention to Krystian (who carried out several inspections and maintenance checks for us). His calm, polite, and professional manner always stood out. One moment we’ll never forget was when we had an urgent parcel issue and arrived just before closing time. Despite it being late, he gave us his full attention, listened patiently, and went out of his way to resolve the issue without any sign of stress or rush. It truly left a lasting impression.
We were also very grateful to the team member who collected the keys at the end of our tenancy — he was equally helpful and professional.
Overall, our tenancy experience was smooth and pleasant, and we sincerely thank the entire Rent My Home team for their support. We highly recommend them.

They let my home the same day. Kishan valued by house in the morning, did 3 viewings that afternoon and we agreed a letting on the same day ! The amazing thing is I was with another agent for 3 weeks with little interest. I cant thank Kishan enough and his team at rent my home Leicester.
The team went above and beyond to get my heating working. My heating stopped on Saturday lunchtime and despite the plumber calling, he wasn't available until Monday morning. The RMH team dropped off electric heaters, within an hour, for the weekend, which I cant thank them enough.

They used to be great when we had a dedicated account manager. Now I think they’ve been acquired and no one answers the phone or replies to my emails on any sort of consistent basis. Only when I threatened to leave did they suddenly, conveniently reply. Avoid.
No one ever answers the phone. I have just moved in and kept being told I will receive the details of the utility providers by email. No email and no response to my chaser. I have no hot water and I have several chronic pain conditions and need to have hot baths to help. I haven’t been told where the meter is and it isn’t in the flat so I can’t even find it all myself. Asked for the complaints procedure and no response. Avoid using this company as all it seems they are after is your money!
Across different websites that list properties, almost all of the listings that I have seen from rent my home have been generated with AI (artificial intelligence). This is incredibly misleading to me and other users who are looking to rent their future home, especially those who might not be able to determine the difference between an actual picture of the property and AI. What is worse is that not all of the images indicate that they have been generated by AI, some listings just have the first image with one that isn't even real. They need to be called out and reported for this because it is unacceptable.

Initially, I called the agency to get my questions answered to see if I am eligible for the property. A kind woman picked up the call and said I needed to send an email - did it on 9th July 11:41am. Their response was to email me at 3pm (3 hours later!) same day with a list of questions. I answered all the questions same day at 6:40pm. I received no response, so I phoned a couple of times only to be told by the same kind lady that I will have to wait for an email and there is no timeframe on when it could come. That’s it.
6 days later, I receive a response that the property is now under offer! I know how fast properties go and this is just ridiculous.
The agency replied they are ‘trailing an automated answering system’. I think it would have been VERY simple and straightforward if the people who are hired to pick up the phone could just answer my questions so I can move onto other properties. Many other agencies do this and I have my questions answered to immediately. This is very poor customer service!
Worst agency ever.99% of their properties are nothing like the pictures ,they're old,smelly and full of maintenance problems.They will increase your rent every year,that's why nobody is renewing tenancies with them and have so many properties on the market.Whenever you call them they will lie to you and say the problems will get fixed and then it takes weeks for them to fix something. I've had the ceiling falling in the house and house full of mold ,plumbing issues,that's how old the properties are.Do not thrust their staff or the landlords they represent. Most horrible humans ever that will say and do anything to convince you to rent their so called houses and flats.
