I reserved a Dollar car rental through them at Edinburgh airport. Dollar were three minutes walk from the airport. Not only were Car Rental Group cheaper than Dollar all of the free insurance that came with it saved me hundreds of pounds. Excellent all the way.
Easy to use site and all good with the actual car rental company. But RentalCarGroup is a consolidator who makes it money from duping you into thinking the insurance they offer is part of the car rental price versus something separate. They make the car rental price almost identical to the insurance price plus the names are nearly the same and the car company offers nearly the same insurance cover. You end up paying double for the rental. Not transparent check out and near fraudulent.
