Quick and easy service

Here is an account of my experience last Friday with Registery when I rang them to get, and pay for, my domain name.
A pleasant woman named Emily took the call and the whole transaction was completed in about a minute. She told me that she would send me an email with all the details such as the receipt etc, and I was impressed by how quick and painless the procedure had been.
It was such a refreshing change from what normally happens when one tries to make a phone call to a large company these days. We are generally told by some robot to “visit our website” or “download our app” etc etc..and the whole experience generally leaves one in a foul mood.
On the down side, I got bogged down with a whole lot of gormless technical gobbledegook instructing me to send an accompanying photo of myself.
I selected one from my collection, but this was apparently unacceptable, so the message remains un-sent.
But I'm happy to have another try. But someone will probably have to talk me through it.

I didn’t like that the price didn’t include hosting, very overpriced when that is considered. I can get a domain name and hosting for around $150 a year.

Ease of Admin

Caysie was extremely helpful with linking my Squarespace website to not just the domain I purchased but also my Google Workspace as well! I couldn’t have done it without her.
