Was a good bank, recent years not so much.

Sometimes your check goes through sometimes it takes days and usually when you need it the most. Same checks from same company two different wait times. Since they updated atms my checks no longer are accepted that way when for years it was never an issue. The fees and missing money gets out of control. Who told you to update my card info with everybody, maybe some don't need it anymore but you took that control away. Contacting via text about making a deposit on days when banks are closed the nation over is ridiculous.

Don't use this Bank

If i saw their reviews earlier it would of saved me alot of time and money. Opened an estate trust account with and EIN number. Receives letter stating I had to have copy of proof and had 30 days to get to them b4 they closed the account. Got it there 2 days b4 deadline and was recommended not to deposit anymore money till they reviewed the account. 7 days later they tell me they are closing account. Never new a bank to turn away money and I had alot to deposit. They suck.

Worse bank in the industry nothing but…

Worse bank in the industry nothing but problems that can never be resolved because of “Our system our system” From clicking there “$300 sign up bonus” which I did all the qualifying requirements that I never received and they blamed on “Our system” still couldn’t honor it. Then Refferal bonus and again “there was an error in our system” to withholding funds on transactions for days!! That were never authorized or even made. To the point where they overdraw my account by with holding my money so long all my bills get taken out and then charge me overdraft fees that “There system can’t authorized to waive” just robbery , misleading, misinformation , ZERO solutions to any problems they just have people that answer the phone to speak on the behalf of “There system”

Worst customer service

Very long wait times for their customer service and I told them to give me a minute to look up my account number. The person literally just hangs up. Find another bank to use.

As a business owner, I don't feel safe using this bank!

So truth be told, I honestly had no intentions in opening a account at this bank, I only gone here to cash a check, the banker convinced me to open a account and how they can help me with some solutions to reach goals using there services. Okay, im always up for some great financial solutions, so I thought I give them a try. Instead I deposited my check in a new account and the money was cleared the next day as promised. 5 days later I deposited 2 checks thru there mobile deposit app and there system is telling me that I will have to wait 14 business days for these checks to clear. Mind you 1 of the checks was by the same company that I used to open my account with & because of the way the bank pulled this stunt, its causing a problem for my business. Last week I took checks from the same companies (on a saturday, to my other accounts @ affinity credit union) and they cleared that following Tuesday while the checks at regents are still on hold. At this time I have every reason to no longer do any business with this bank. Once these checks clear I will transfer these funds to my other accounts and close regions. Thats not business or how you treat your customers. My finances need to be somewhere safe.

I am at the south chase regions bank and the service is so bad that I am closing my account and go to another bank. The service is always bad. Make sure you have a lot of time to wait if you want customer service at this location.

Awful awful awful

Awful awful awful, and awful. I do not recommend this bank to anyone. If they think something is fraud (which it was just a refund from a website) they’ll literally cancel your card and make you get another sent. God forbid, you need to use your money. You have to wait 10 days just to get a card and they don’t even offer a temporary card to use online, like most banks do. I just hate them honestly. Go somewhere else!!!

Go elsewhere

Go elsewhere. Terrible services and no products. Sneak high fees and dont send paper statements so you dont catch. If you want paper statements they charge you additional money. I do not recommend to anyone and dont know how they are in business. Absolute garbage and staff and managers dont have any empathy or ethics. Natasha is branch manager and extremely unhelpful.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER

I have been banking with Regions for almost 30 years. The customer service in the past 10 years has been a rapid decline. Today after being on hold for over half an hour, I had the rudest customer service experience. Within under a minute, Angie hung up on me as soon as I said I had been holding over 25 minutes. I will not be a member much longer- I will be moving my money elsewhere and I recommend avoiding it like the plague.

Refund Refusal

On October 27, 2025, I paid for childcare for the week and a payment was deducted from my account for this date and for the 28th. Contacted a local Regions and a rep put in a ticket for a refund since I didn’t pay twice. Two weeks went by and still no response or refund to my account. Apparently, the ticket was closed because they think my card was swiped twice. (It was not!) Another ticket was opened, confirmation receipt was emailed along with documents from the daycare directly stating there was only one payment received.
It’s been a month now and I have zero answers and no one is contacting me back. So I’m still being denied a refund! I’m guessing Regions thinks they need my money more than I do! I am at a loss of what to do or who to contact for help now!!! If I could score a 0 I would! This is so wrong and unprofessional!!!!

So unhappy with the service from this…

So unhappy with the service from this bank! I have been an account holder for the last 6 years. I have a mortgage, home equity loan, checking account. Recently they upgraded their security protocol and require a 2 step process. Apparently when updating their system my phone number was put in incorrectly! I cannot get into my account online anymore and they are unable to help me over the phone even though I can provide them with detailed information to confirm my identity! I was told i need to personally drive over 35 minutes to their location to fix their error! My phone number has always been correct on everything I have with them! Regions is antiquated and needs to realize that there are banking institutions that are 100% online but Regions does not have the ability to verify my identity over the phone? Time for a new bank!

Getting a new card printed

Went in to get a new card printed.I was told that they would have to send a code to my cell phone to make sure it was me.I was sitting right in front of the guy!! My phone would not let me text,so they. Couldn't send a code.Which is rather stupid considering that I was sitting right there and with ID..Was told I would have to get it in the mail.Regions needs to let people know these things BEFORE they send you to a branch to get a new card printed!!

In just 2 weeks worst experience ever

I have had nothing but issues since i opened my account with Regions, i have gone to a branch and made several calls to them about my account, my account isnt even a month old and im getting account closure notifications saying i never made my deposit the email was dated for 11/03/2025 which was yesterday but when i call them and question them about the email they have no clue whats going on, i made my deposit for my new account on the same day i opened the account … get this… i opened the account on 10/24/2025… why am i getting a closure notice already infact at all because i paid the deposit via debit card over the phone with their customer service representative, mind you it didnt post to my account until 10/28/2025, i went into the branch because nobody knew where my money was. Had to call again because i couldnt use mobile deposit or zelle features because they kept telling me they didnt get my deposit even though it showed on the account it took them 2 days to fix that issue. In just 2 weeks this has been the worst banking experience ever… i have 2 pay checks coming to that account and im going to be very pissed off if my account closes due to bull**** with my money in it even though ive done everything required.

I have been a simple customer from…

I have been a simple customer from Regions in Sarasota, FL since 2010. It was a handy bank. I am permanently disabled and reside outside the country in order to afford my life.
Last year when my mailing address changed, they took a long time to verify me. But they did this. Voting by email was a cinch compared to the obstacles they have had me go through. I have temporary addresses like many.
When they put an unnecessary security hold on my account, I verified my address and the system conveniently will not accept it. This is just a way to bug a human being who is able to reside in another free country. I believe it is completely unecessary. When they told me they could verify me by sending me a text code, their system is pitiful because it doesnt. But my family who banks with everyone else has a clear option.
I do not have a luxury of traveling all the way back to the bank.
This is why it seems about time for me to kill the switch on this bank.

Regions Bank is Heartless

I had heart failure and was in the hospital for 3 weeks and Regions would not reverse my overdraft fees totaling $136 at all. I was shocked. I mean, yes, it is my fault, but I thought they would have some flexibility since every other credit card and bank that I use all helped me out a little EXCEPT Regions. Live and learn. I will never use Regions Bank again. I'm very disappointed. I have a made a full recovery now though and looking forward to the rest of my life.

Avoid this bank

If I could leave no stars I would. I’ve been banking with them since I 2008 and 2025 they sent my ex-husband a card in his name linked to my account after he had been removed off my account for 2 years they had my divorce papers and he had sighed papers stating that he no long had rights to my money. It took them 3 weeks to get me my money back and my ex didn’t get any jail time because the bank sent the card in his name. Then I had to open a new account now they are holding a check wrote to me by my insurance company for 13 days. I do not recommend this bank. All the branches are the same
