Impossible to get compensation

Here's the excerpt from your response I got about 7 weeks after filing a claim:
we are unable to process your compensation claim as the disruption was due to extraordinary circumstances. Flights affected by extreme weather conditions are not eligible for compensation. Airlines may cancel or delay flights when environmental conditions could compromise passenger safety. Since extreme weather is considered an extraordinary circumstance, it is beyond the airline’s control.
Rest assured, we are here to assist you with any future claims you may have.

Why would I use your company if you can't help when airline cancels the flight?

Avoid.

Avoid.
I submitted my claim in October. In February, I was told the airline had accepted the claim and paid the compensation to ReFly.
It is now April and I still have not received my money.
Communication has been very poor — emails are often ignored, there is no proactive follow-up from their side, and they seem to respond to only every few messages. Timelines given have not been met.
Very frustrating experience. I would not recommend.
