A Year of Broken Promises

Working with a company without prior references is always a matter of trust, and in this case, our trust in REFA Enterprises was misplaced. After more than thirteen months, we cannot recommend this company to anyone expecting quality workmanship, reliable execution, and transparent communication.

We moved in our apartment over a year ago and paid the full price — yet the building has never been formally handed over. No official handover has taken place, leaving basic systems like heating, the elevator, and the solar installation in a legal grey zone with no maintenance contracts and no clear accountability. When things break down, and they have repeatedly, there is no structure in place to deal with it.

Issues that should have been resolved before move-in are still open today. Our bathroom — not a repair, but a fundamental part of what we purchased — took nine months to complete after moving in in May 2025. The area surrounding the building remains a construction site to this day, over a year after occupancy. Defects go unaddressed for months. Requests are ignored.

Instead of taking responsibility, REFA Enterprises refers you to subcontractors and leaves you to manage the problems yourself. The situation has escalated to formal legal proceedings. This is not where any buyer expects to be more than a year after moving in.

Perhaps most concerningly, REFA's failure to pay their own subcontractor resulted in a legal lien being placed on our apartment. This dispute has been running since October, despite REFA having been contractually obligated to clear all supplier invoices. Buyers who pay in full should never find themselves entangled in their developer's financial disputes with third parties — yet here we are.

For anyone considering REFA Enterprises (which I strongly advise not to): involve a lawyer and an independent quality inspector from day one. Document everything.
