I purchased Recoverit and was unable to activate my licence despite providing proof of purchase and following all activation instructions.
Over a period of nearly a month, I exchanged numerous emails with support and repeatedly provided the same information. Different support agents gave conflicting explanations, including stating that the licence was both "not activated" and "already redeemed".
The core issue was never properly investigated. Support remained focused on licence verification rather than troubleshooting why the software did not recognise an active entitlement.
Communication was slow, repetitive, and often appeared disconnected from previous correspondence. After several weeks, the problem still remained unresolved.
The software itself may be useful, but my experience with customer support was extremely frustrating and significantly diminished confidence in the product. I would expect much faster escalation and more effective technical troubleshooting for a paid licence issue.

Bait and switch
We completed the prepurchase scan of our disk to see what was recoverable and were shown a full list with functional clips. We paid the fee and downloaded the files then found none of the files would open so we reached out to Wondershare only to find an AI interface and no real service. We followed the directions and submitted samples of the downloaded files and never heard back. Felt like a bait and switch! Very disappointed with the company!

Absolute Scam of an App, if you dont pay 60 bucks you basically cant do anything with it, and maybe youll think "well atleast you get a free trial of 500 MB, well no you dont because the saving feature doesnt even work for the free users

very easy to do they need o give more guidance on what to do afterwards but I use Gemini to get the step by step. I could not find my videos, it put the photos in my google drive like I asked but not my videos. gemini explained why I just the they should explain and give more direction. so you don't mess up. but I am a very logical thinker and we have ai to guide us.

Free trial is not even a trial
Free trial is just to download the app and check if the app can scan, the offer seems very misleading. Despite having a 4.6 rating online, it could still be a scam app. It does not guarantee a full recovery, making it too unreliable for such a significant investment. I would much rather have a complete trial experience for $10-$20 if it were available for 3-5 days.

Unfortunately your ‘trial’ is only to download the app and scan a drive. Anything else pushes the expensive membership plans. A true trial would allow the full process of recovering a file to be completed. But no, you guys can’t promise recovery of files so you prompt the membership. This is a scam! Because if the files aren’t recover after purchasing the membership it doesn’t work and for what I read 40% of people who buy it can’t recover their files. Again, a scam! I should be able to get my money back if it doesn’t work, but 70% of people who purchased this, has complained that it’s a struggle to get your money back if this app did not work for you. Again, a scam, because it says clearly money back guarantee within a specific timeframe. Your response to my complaint is avoidance and misleading just like your product! I said very clearly you TRIAL IS NOT A REAL TRIAL! I’m not sure why your reply says we have a trial?!? No you do not. Shoppers be worry of this app or any similar ones, if a trial cannot allow you to do* what you need to prove it works, it most likely won’t work.

Accidentally lost basically a lifetime of photos and music. Recoverit found and recovered every last photo! Tried Recuva and only got 15 pics... This is AWESOME SOFTWARE!

Totally disappointing, no files recovered even when tried software 2 hours straight away
Totally disappointing; no files were recovered even after a few hours of accidently deleting it.
I accidentally SHIFT-deleted an entire folder of images and media. Upon installing and paying for Wondershare Recoverit (date of purchase - 5th June 2026) within the same day, the software did not even recover any file from that mother folder where I deleted the child folder. Very very disappointing. No files were recovered.
The software did detect lots of files that were deleted months back to a few years. However, these files are unrecoverable, even with the fix feature on the software, so a waste of time.

I deleted my entire folder of pictures of last week's trip to Iceland (about 250 Gb) I had on a Cruzer external drive. This program recovered them. So, the program worked and it saved me hours of work I put into them using lightroom
