Curator here. I have playlists on a wide variety of genres, from pop, to r&b and rock.
Playlist IQ is, in my opinion, the best model for both curators and artists: from the artists’s view, they have the possibility to be heard without spending money; from the curator’s side, while we may work as a A&R, choosing the talent by listening to a series of tracks, we are free to set the value of our work. It is a win-win for both sides with minimum or none friction.

This is written a few weeks after the big drop in listeners and streams by spotify, I need to apologize to Recordlabel.ai / Playlist IQ to a degree. I've taken time to analyze our data, using artist.tools and see that the playlists we had on RLAI appear to be safe as per artist.tools, BUT on second promo in May, we had a huge spike 158 streams per listener that Spotify didn't like . It was then i tried Apolone and all but one of their playlist showed up as bots using artist.tools so 4 star not 5 based on the huge spike in May , and they kept a level head in defending themselves when i was reacting to raw data, and assigning blame quickly.

What a great platform for contacting playlist curators! Instead of the traditional frustration of submitting to numerous playlists who are really not interested, Playlist IQ pulls up only those Playlists that are a good match for each song, then allows artists to pitch the song to up to 10 curators on the list. After that, we only interact with the ones who express an interest. It's a breath of fresh air! I'm involved with two indie music groups. We're very happy with our first campaign and have just launched another.

I’m an EDM/Electro Pop writer/producer called Heavenhead and lately I’ve been trying to promote my track Bring On The Night. After trying other playlist promotion services and finding them somewhat disappointing I learnt about Playlist IQ (part of Record Label AI) and decided to give it a shot.

For me, it’s been a much better experience than the rest. The best part is that the initial curator response is free, whereas you’re usually paying upfront with other services. You choose which playlists to submit to, but playlisters you didn’t submit to can contact you if they think your track is a good fit for their playlist. This is another very cool feature! This was my first campaign and I got offered ten playlists within a day. That’s a quick turnaround. My campaign hasn’t yet finished but I’ve chosen two high quality playlists so far, which are already getting great results. The “trust score” system is a clever way to make sure playlisters stick to their word. Overall, I only have good things to say about Playlist IQ and guarantee I’ll be using them again.
