My only quibble is that I can't give Ray Chapman Motors more that 5 stars on this rating system - they deserve more!
I had never heard of RCM as I live in Oxfordshire and got my car through a work provided scheme, so I was surprised to learn my car was coming from Yorkshire!
I was so pleased to receive a personal phone call, rather than an automated email, to confirm all the specs for the car and discuss delivery arrangements. They even put in a gadget I wanted for free!
With the current EU supply chain issues I was not surprised, but was disappointed that there was a delay on the delivery of my vehicle, which jeopardized my planned family holiday. Debra and Patrick at RCM got straight on this and organised a lease car to cover the gap.
When my car arrived this week it was absolutely perfect, every specification and extra was as agreed and it came just when they said it would.
I hope this Volvo will last me for some years to come, but my wife has already told me that when hers needs replacing she will be going straight to Ray Chapman Motors.
I cannot recommend them more highly.

Excellent customer service last week when buying a XC40 (my first ever Volvo),and part exchanging my previous car.

Thank you Ray Chapman ! My engine warning light came on this morning on my way to work, I called them, they booked me in for an appointment, they have looked at it, resolved the problem and no charge. Fabulous service :)

What a pleasure it was to feel like I was respected, definitely worth the near eighty mile return trip from Hull, yes there is a Volvo dealership in Hull, but, well, read my review on them elsewhere! I made the trip to have my car Polestar optimised, that was well worth the cost, the car is much livelier now. I was looked after by 'Tim' on the service desk who was extremely helpful with a problem that surfaced on the way to Malton, the guy's there are going to deal with that as a separate visit, and yes, it will be worth another near eighty mile round trip, to put the money in their pockets!!

Having been let down and receiving awful service from another dealership I decided to cancel my order with them and order with Ray Chapman instead. Best decision I made, despite a short delay (linked to the pandemic) I was kept informed throughout and Rob Riddell couldn't do enough to help. Honoured my original deal from the other retailer despite the fact prices had increased. The handover was smooth, no pressure to buy all the extras that you normally get but very informative about my car, felt very looked after and needed a little bit of aftercare which I aldo cannot fault. Can highly recommend and I'll certainly be using in the future. Well done and thank you for being a dealer who puts customer service at the forefront 👍🏻

Dont like going to garages as you get bombarded with salesmen, but i was greeted by a nice team, and a great salesman James A, not your usual run of the mill, i liked his style he seemed trustworthy hopefully he is as i bought a car within 15 minutes.

Very disappointing dealership. Based on a deposit of £500, Mike Paton taxed a car, without our knowledge. We decided to change our mind and Ray Chapman refunded £330. I'm now sat here 3 weeks on, waiting for a DVLA refund.

Pressurised selling tactic definitely in play here i.e. another customer is interested in the car. You have been warned!

On a positive note I'm glad to say we bought a brand new Volvo from another Yorkshire based Volvo dealer, with no games and no pressurised sales.

Great service from Ben and Gareth at RCM Malton. From my initial enquiry, through to a test drive, to driving away with the car the same day, the whole process was easy and extremely professional. Definitely recommend.

Bought my Volvo V60 from Rob Baylis at RCM in Malton. Great service, and good value - I had my car delivered 180 miles and all was as promised on arrival .
I would recommend Rob and RCM to others looking to buy a good quality used car.

In April I bought a car over the internet from Raychapman Volvo (York), I was assigned Bradley as my Sales Executive, honestly couldn’t have been happier!....
Bradley was attentive, diligent with his emailing response ( there was a lot) and he was informative. Buying a car over the internet that you have never seen or driven is risqué, but honestly I’d do it all over again, and I’d most certainly return to Raychapman Volvo for another car in the future. I too would ask for Bradley because he is an absolute CHAMPION!

Just bought my V40 D2. Very impressed with my car and service. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a new or used car. The free extras I received was amazing. Thank you Rob B for your help with my purchase. I will buy from again when I am ready to replace my car.

Been to see them twice with a view to PX with my vehicles and was disappointed that they would not negotiate at all on price. Wanted to give me much less than three other garages had offered me and charge well over top book for the car they were selling.
I won't waste my time or theirs again, that's for sure.

I live in Northern Ireland and purchased my dream car online from Ray Chapman Volvo and had the pleasure of dealing with Richard Sheldon. Richard, Ronnie and Mike were first class from initial enquiry to final purchase, delivery and beyond. Their genuine customer care and service speaks volumes. Together they made the whole process very simple and straight forward. I can't thank them enough, I only wish you guys were closer to home! Highly recommended.

Amazing dealer. I bought a used car from them and within a week, I had the engine warning light turned on. I rang them and they asked me to get the car to the workshop. The car was thoroughly checked and repaired. Nigel in particular kept me upto date with progress and the technician who fixed my car explained me the details of the issue and what he had done to fix it - thank you so much. I am enjoying my car now. Will definitely recommend them for buying a new Volvo or any other used car they advertise.

I have to say that having shopped around for a best price 'Debs' - or Mrs Flint - was absolutely superb.

She could not have been more helpful - answering emails out of hours.

She goes the extra mile, which for an online purchase and living a long way from the dealership is just what you need.

Just collected my XC60 from it's annual service & MOT.
Ray Chapman have gone to great lengths to ensure the whole Covid Safe practices are in place, on arrival put on a mask & sanitise hands, my keys into a basket to be sanitised before service, loan car keys sealed into plastic bag & loan car all sanitised ready for use.
Service carried out faultlessly as always, bit of a shock needing new brake discs & pads all round requiring my car to be left with them over the weekend, not a problem the loan car was booked out to me for the weekend & all I needed to add was a drop of fuel (York is 80 miles from home).
Arranged to collect car this morning at 8am as they opened, car is all cleaned & sanitised ready for me & all the work carried out at a very reasonable price for a main dealers with great attention to detail.

Customer care like this makes it worthwhile having a day out in York to get the car serviced, well worth the trip down from Newcastle.
