Had subscription for 6 months and was always lovely to try new coffees, I’m new to coffee and only started drinking within the last 8 months but love trying new ones. I always drink mine black and I’ve moved from pods to cafetiere, then to the drip v60 and now to the aero press. Raves help was great and always sends some good advice with their subscription service.
The whole bean for me is the way to buy as the smell and satisfaction you get from the grinding is awesome.
The Rave website is easy to navigate, I would like to see different postage options as Royal Mail can be very slow sometimes to delivery.
All in all a great place to buy coffee (I’ve tried quite a few places like grind, pact, cafepod) all have something different and Rave is my go to place

Just got my first order from Rave and am hugely enjoying their freshly roasted coffees! Will be buying more soon.

I've been using them for over a year and no complaints. I enjoy the various blends they have and have experimented with a couple but I always return to the handy signature blend which is a great all-rounder.

I ordered a subscription of 250 grams of wholebean coffee. I get a notification from Royal Mail saying no one was at home. So I had to goto the post office to collect the parcel since I'm not always at home.
There's no way I'm going to wait at home for 250 grams of coffee to be delivered. No thanks.
Upon getting the parcel I find the box which encloses the coffee bag is larger than my letterbox. Absolutely unnecessary packaging. Oh and an instruction booklet which contains a metal ring as well. The plastic coffee bean bag is acceptable (its recyclable so that's a good thing).
But yeah overall, large box, wasted post office trip, booklet with a metal ring. This really isn't something to do for a weekly subscription order. Just more landfill and environment waste.
I haven't tried the coffee yet. But I doubt it will make up for the above issues.

I'd love to give them a five star, but sadly my experience was a bit chaotic. Placed an order, realized the address was incorrect, immediately contacted them via email, waited so long for a reply by the time they responded it had already been shipped and then eventually sent back by royal mail. Rave sent a new order by first class mail and when it arrived have to say all in all a great package and nice coffee.
I'll be certainly returning and probably try out more stuff, but if you need a quick reply from customer service, you might be left waiting. All in all though pleased with what I got!

I’ve used several online coffee roasters over the years and none come even close to Rave. Excellent quality beans and outstanding customer service. I’ve only had a need to complain once (Due to Royal Mail) and Rave couldn’t have handled it better or faster. A nice selection of equipment and decent selection of beans to pick from. Thanks all at Rave!

I have ordered a few times - every time quick delivery and the coffee is packaged great. It tastes amazing too and the quality for the price is absolutely outstanding! I recently had an issue with my delivery that was resolved in under 48 hours in a perfect manner. Thank you!

Rave's coffee is okay but their customer service is very poor and this review reflects a few bad experiences.
The last 2 orders I've made have been sent a day late, when I complained about this and a hidden charge that was added to a subscription after pressing 'buy' the response from their customer service was very flippant.
I'm looking for another roaster and will ditch Rave as soon as I find one I like.
Edit in reply to Rave reply:
I've spoken to your customer service on 3 occasions now. They weren't interested in investigating or resolving issues then but now you are because it's online. I have zero faith anything would change by wasting more time with you.
Better you investigate why your customer service seems so poor generally, I'm not alone with this.

Doubled the price of a coffee subscription overnight with no warning. I will buy elsewhere from now on.

I subscribed to Rave for a few years. Everything was fine until I wanted to stop deliveries. Their process for you to stop is for them to email you and stop the order. This means it is very easy to miss the email - goes to junk...
So we ended up with a backlog of far too much coffee. So I cut down the order. But still, we found - too much coffee.
So I looked for a way to cancel my account online. I couldn't find this, so I sent an email to their customer service team.
The account was supposedly cancelled last year,
except it wasn't; they automatically took my money again - I was told I hadn't cancelled and that I should have looked out for an email to cancel the delivery - which I had missed because I had already been told they had cancelled my account. They kept my details and credit card info.
Once you sign up, the onus is on you to look out for their emails to make sure you pause or cancel.
If you cancel, they may (as in my case) randomly start up the order again and - in my case - claim you should have cancelled the order.
If you ask them to remove your details from the system as per the law, they claim they can't do it for six months because of their relationship with Shopify.
So give these guys your address and credit card details at your risk. You may end up in groundhog coffee day like me.
I hope I am an aberration, but posting this in case some other unfortunate gets caught in it because frankly life is too short - it's an awful lot of hassle to get some coffee
Used them for years now. The standard of coffee is far better than what you'd get in cafes.

I originally left a review in February based on experiences I had at the end of last year, which criticised the delivery of my subscription order and the response to contact made which had been lacking.
However, at the time of the Rave response to my review and subsequent email communication, this has been excellent. Matt from Rave got in contact and explained that they were having issues at the end of last year and sent his sincere apologies along with a gesture of good will.
I found the communication genuine and did feel as though they had been a drop in their usual high level of service but that they have been working hard to resolve this.
In this modern world we live in I think this is a rare position for a company to take and I was genuinely positively surprised and was very welcome.
Well done Rave team!

Great coffee but I had a fault with packaging and emailed to raise it, no response for a week so far despite me chasing

Amazing coffee and amazing customer service, they sorted out quickly even though they were hit with the Mail strikes like all small companies over the lead up to Christmas, it saddens me to see the negative reviews as people just don’t see the bigger picture and don’t see how hard these smaller companies were hit by the volume of emails they were receiving! Stay strong RAVE staff ❤️
I have been having a coffee subscription from Rave coffee for 3 years and can't fault it. The coffee always arrives on time and customer service are always very helpful and quick to respond. Thank you

This issue has been resolved now. I eventually received an email, apologising for the delay and offering to collect the faulty Minipresso and arrange a refund, which I have now received. Much better service from Rave Coffee, such a shame that it took so long, but credit to them for sorting it out.
Appalling customer service. I need to return a faulty Minipresso and have had no response whatsoever, to phone calls or emails etc, so maybe they've gone bust, though they haven't stopped advertising! I'll have to go to the credit card for a refund.

Absolutely shocking.
I bought a 3-month subscription as a gift with the idea of extending it if it was a good experience… glad I didn’t commit to more upfront!
After paying for the 3 months and an aeropress on the 5th of November, the recipient never received anything beyond the first bag!
I have tried to contact them via email and socials and have heard absolutely nothing at all.
By far my worst ever online purchase, and most embarrassing gift.

Coffee is good but prepared to be constantly spammed with Ads everywhere you go online...

Great coffee, poor comms from Customer service
Ordered a variety of coffee from Rave (Order 884989) including 1kg of a blended coffee. They only sent me 250g by mistake.
Have been trying to contact Rave to resolve for a week via email, form and phone. No one answers or comes back to you.
Hard to complain though when a full 1kg back was subsequently sent to resolve the matter

I ordered an Espresso Coffee Lovers bundle with Espresso grind on 4 January 2023. The package duly arrived on 9 January by Royal Mail but I was very disappointed to find that they had supplied whole beans (I do not have a grinder). Despite what they say on their website, there has been no response whatsoever to my phone messages or emails. I have now given up and requested a credit card cash-back. I will not be using them again (which disappoints me as the products sounded so promising!!).
Following the above, Rave did eventually get in touch, allowed me to keep the wrong delivery (which I donated to a good cause) and sent a revised order. The coffee is good and I have therefore updated my review. My only mistake was in ordering espresso grind rather than aeropress…! I will try again soon!!
