Bad quality
No. 1, it was so hard to reach the translator to correct a wrongly translated special name; No. 2, the translator even marked the corresponding paragraph wrong, which is so ridiculous.
3. The translation is far being professional. It barely reached the okay level.
Additionally, we paid rush fees on 12/29/25 and expected to receive the translation within 3 days, but the final and corrected version did not arrive until 1/1/26.
I will definitely not recommend this service!

Rapid customer service, quick turnaround,
I had some very important very urgent Japanese documents that needed translating and they were done to a good standard in the expected timeframe. A couple of edits were required to correct spellings of names which I had given in the translation notes but the customer service, the translation and the edits were rapid and reassuring despite them being needed overnight (in the UK) so I would definitely use them again for official documentation with a tight turnaround.

gross inaccuracies in medical documents
I ordered a translation of medical records from Rapid Translate and received a result that was unacceptable and potentially dangerous if used by doctors. The translation was laden with inaccuracies, added information that was not in the original document, and changed important medical details. Even the patient's name was incorrectly translated, as if names need translation.
Because the translation could not be trusted, we ended up translating the entire document ourselves. We sent them our corrected version and asked for either a refund or proper certification of our text. They then certified our own version, but attached the exact same certification as before, with the same date, suggesting that even the certification process is a scam. It felt careless, unprofessional, and potentially dangerous in the context of medical documents.
I cannot recommend this service.

Not satisfied with the quality of the translation
I requested this service because USCIS instructed me to submit documents translated and notarized by a certified interpreter. I submitted two separate one-page copies of my Koseki Tohon (Family Registry), but the following issues occurred:
My date of birth, which appears on both documents, was completely incorrect on one of them.
The Japanese era-based dates, which are specific to Japan, were translated incorrectly everywhere except for one place.
My address was also incorrect in two locations.
These errors occurred despite the fact that I had attached my own translations—created with the help of AI—as reference materials.
It became clear that the translator likely could not read Japanese, and that these mistakes could have been avoided had the documents I submitted been reviewed carefully. Because of this, I felt the translation quality was poor and unreliable. Unfortunately, the result was that my own AI-assisted translation was far more accurate.
It was good that I was able to obtain the interpreter-translated and notarized documents, including the corrections, within 48 hours as required for the submission. The cost was 76 USD.
