I went in with an engine issue for my ranger rove 4.4, sports. A person at the reception called Tony, Went through with me about the producers and give me details about the new engine. I would highly recommend this place well happy with the quality and the professional service I received. Thank you the team.
Thanks for my evoque engine replacement and getting me back on the road. Was sweating when got the news of the engine damage but these guys came in highly recommended and quite reasonably priced. Thumbs up!
I took my Range Rover in for an engine replacement due to severe knocking, they charged me £8700 for the job but they didn’t do as promised and lied when they said they had changed the engine, showing photos of an engine next to my car but never with an empty engine bay.
The car was returned with the same engine, I’m guessing they figured they could patch it up with a temporary fix. It had the same oil filter full of metal debris in it, which is fatal for a car.
They are literally conmen like so many in the Range Rover engine rebuild industry are. There are positive responses here but please don’t believe them, all the negative reviews have a lot of similarities to my experience. Avoid like the plague.

I had a terrible experience. Paid £4,795 + £180 towing, then pressured into paying another £1,200. Engine failed within 5 months, and they refused to honour the warranty.
This business trades under multiple names (Global Engine & Gear Boxes, Rover Engine Specialist, Engine Professional Ltd) to dodge bad reviews.
Avoid at all costs. Totally unscrupulous.

Never fixed the engine
It worked temporarily
Then failed
then worked again
then failed
then worked again - and then gearbox failed
In the end, I took the car away by tow truck and got rid of it. They helped me part-exchange the car as a working car but said don't drive it too far as it might fail again.
They charged me a fortune in the end and they take cash only - not card. They didn't tell me that in the first place. Stinks of fraud frankly
So they do a poor job, charge a fortune in cash and they have refused for about 8 months now to even send me a proper report of what they found. This is the dictionary definition of cowboys and girls.

Hi Abu, as explained to you previously innumerous times, your car came to us for an engine replacement which we replaced but it also had gearbox issues which were not related to the engine and you were well advised of that. So to come out now and cynically say that we did not properly fix your engine and putting out baseless allegations against a reputed business is quite dishonest to say the least. The engine replacement was done perfectly fine and the car had no error codes related to the engine, which you well know yourself.
It’s always very worrying when you are trying to chose a Company to recondition your Range Rover (or in my case), Jaguar engine. So many pitfalls out there! Companies lie, make up false reviews…..it’s so difficult to know what to do. Sometimes you just have to take a leap of faith.
That’s just what I did with Global Engines & Gearboxes, trading as Range Rover Engine Specialists.
I am very happy with the result. The Jaguar engine purrs like it came out of the factory. Car was cleaned inside and out and I was given comprehensive care instructions, not just for the next 1000 miles, after which I would need an oil change and filter change, but also recommended service and oil change intervals in future. (Which wouldn’t benefit them as I am over 150 miles away).
At the moment, I can’t fault the service.
Well done Guys. Please don’t take it the wrong way, but I hope I won’t be back anytime soon!!

Engine full overhaul sept 22- superb service from arranging collection of vehicle to completion. Regular updates and prompt responses to queries. Post works running in and warranty program simple to follow.

Tax invasion! Replaced engine for 5k which broken again after 4months. Gave warranty but asked to pay money again! Been recorded and reported!
