Got my first product from this brand…

Got my first product from this brand the spf brightening cream spf 50 +and could not believe I got really sunburnt. Beware. Definitely not 50+ protection. Doubt this product has been through any testing. I applied, over the recommended application and reapplied every two hours. For the price of this product I would at least expected it would offer sun protection.

Ranavat jewel box

I've yet to try the products. I spent a small fortune on a mini set to trial their product and the minis were only 50% filled. I think it's ridiculous to charge £85 for this set of minis and not even fill the containers in its entirety. Very disappointing and another conglomerate just looking to exploit customers

Don't work with the founder

Firstly, I would like to express my gratitude for the opportunities and challenges presented during my time at Ranavat. Working alongside talented individuals (excluding the founder) has been a source of inspiration, and I believe in the potential of the team to achieve great things. However, having worked in the beauty industry for several years, there are some aspects of the work environment at Ranavat that I believe warrant attention and consideration, in the hope that constructive feedback can contribute to the ongoing improvement of the organization.

During my time at Ranavat, I had the opportunity to work with Michelle, the founder. Unfortunately, I must express my concern about the unprofessionalism, lying, diminishing behavior and lack of leadership displayed by the founder. My coworkers and I experienced an atmosphere of fear and dismissive attitude towards others’ valuable opinions from Michelle. Despite her ability to attract skilled, experienced professionals to the team, her dogmatic, borderline narcissistic mindset created discontent and detracted from the potential of the team.

Another concern has been the public belittlement from the founder of co-workers (in front of other team members, whether in-person, behind people’s back, while they are standing just one table over, or during virtual calls). This childish, toxic behavior from Michelle not only diminished the morale but also set a concerning precedent for the overall workplace culture.

I continually asked for feedback from Michelle for improvement and to seek alignment with the founder's ever changing expectations but I was constantly placed on the backburner. Or when in the few feedback sessions, I was left with more questions and feeling of discouragement and confusion especially when I wasn't receiving anything other than positive feedback from everyone else on my direct team. Her inexperience and inadequate leadership style continually hindered the team's ability to refine and enhance our collective efforts.

Moreover, there was reported mold found in products, unsanitary product filling stations and recent termite issues in the office where we were mandated to be in.The lack of urgency in addressing the termites (took a month to get an exterminator) has not only impacted the physical work environment but also raised concerns about the overall commitment to the well-being of the team (the termites were all over desks and landed in an employee’s hair).

Lastly, if the statements above do not leave an impression, know that 6+ individuals and two or more agencies have decided to part ways with the company in the last 9 months. With an already slim team, the lack of integrity, common decency, and professionalism from the founder are a common factor for all the departures and continue to contribute to this sad working environment.

I hope this is helpful for others considering working at this company. You deserve to work for a brand and with a team that treats you with respect and deserves your talents and this is not that brand.
