I highly recommend the Ramla Bay Hotel…

I highly recommend the Ramla Bay Hotel in Malta
We arrived late in the evening missing the dinner time and found we had our dinner waiting in the room. It was my birthday and I found a bottle of wine two glasses and a birthday desert with Happy Birthday on it. Our room was se facing with the most beautiful views. The hotel was immaculately clean. The food was good, staff where very friendly and helpful especially Acetzelle in the dinning area. All the bar staff were very helpful and happy hour was great value for money. The had a spa are within the hotel, coffee shops and bars with live music at night. We are definitely going back.
Best hotel I have stayed at in years.

Ramla Bay Resort is heading to be the best on the Island…

Ramla Bay Resort is heading to be the best real resort on the Island. Surrounded by open Mediterranean sea and countryside with no other buildings surrounding it and no direct flow of traffic. Three outdoor seawater pools one of which is adults only, spa, jacuzzi, and many outlets. Unobstructed views are amazing facing the Islands of Comino and Gozo.

This hotel was supposed to have been…

This hotel was supposed to have been finished in first quarter of 2025. I booked some eight months ago a Superior Plus room for last week and was surprised when they told us that the room we had booked so long ago was finished three days before we arrived. It turned out that when we arrived there they gave us a room on a block under construction with the majority of the rooms not even with a room number on them. There were workers all over the place and noise from construction work starting before 7am. MOSTLY HAMMERING... The room was dusty when we arrived and stayed like that all week. The room had a TV but unless you speak English, French, German or Maltese you can forget about using it. My wife only speaks Spanish and was hoping to use Netflix or Prime Video but we were told that the TV was not connected nor they could let us know when it would be..so the TV became obsolete for us..at least we were able to connect to wi-fi. Towels were changed twice during the week and nothing was cleaned...glasses..plates..and so on. I read that the pools were salt water and I asked about it when I checked-in. The recepcionist laughed and assured me that all the pools were fresh water pools....Wrong...all pools turned out to be salt water. The complex has two jacuzzis ..one indoors and one outdoors. The indoors one never worked during our stay and the outdoor one was always full...Never had a chance to use it. The car park is very bumpy and not recommend it unless you hire an SUV..Luckily we hired one...This is a requirement for guests at this hotel if you want to move around the island freely. Just remember that they drive on the left and that many roads are very narrow. Back on the hotel..it did not help that they erected a massive crane at the beginning of our stay for the building of two additional pools. There were a number of areas that were supposed to be out of bounds for guests but due to bad signs a number of times we ended up going on a lift which took us to areas full of rubble and unaccessible. From the reception area to our room it took us three days to be able to find our way and to take less than 10 minutes to get from our room to the entrance of the hotel. There are lots of indoor palms and other plants which we were told they had just been planted but they were already dying due to the glass roof and poor maintenance and constant dust on the plants...This hotel should not allow guests in any part of the complex which is under construction. On the plus side, they have some good restaurants with very pleasant, friendly and professional waiters. They have countless sunbeds and umbrellas and could go to the pool area without having any problem of not being able to use one of them. They have a small private beach but never used it as it was covered with algae all week. They supply pool towels which can be exchanged for fresh ones every day. They have the choice of some water activities and the Marfa wharf is a 10 minute walk from the hotel to do the boat trip around Comino island andBlue Lagoon. Recommend paying 10€ extra for addind the speed boat ride around the caves...I will not go back there again. The hotel is too big to have any charm or personality. It appers to be aimed for corporate events. There are lots of new areas being built for meetings and a huge new entrance. but would like to know if they improve. For a 4 star hotel they shouls need a much bigger and asphalted car park with proper parking spaces for the guests...Good luck to whoever intends to go there shortly.
