BEWARE: Make sure your credit card provider has your back
TL;DR -GCX/Raise won’t cancel fraudulent order made with expired credit card info even though the cards are in my account and haven’t been spent.
My account was compromised through my phone and cards were purchased without authorization. Tried to email/chat with support for a few hours and got no reply so I reported the fraud to my credit card provider (Chase) and they cancelled the charge. I got control of my account/phone before the cards could be used or transferred to someone else so they’ve been in my account untouched for 3 months.
Talked in chat to someone at GCX/Raise and was told there wasn’t enough evidence of fraud and I had to pay for the order. Tried to explain someone got my phone and used expired credit card info in my account to make the order and can’t they just cancel the order and take cards back? They say no and now I can’t even delete my account because it’s locked unless I pay for these cards I never bought and are sitting right there in my account. Hard to explain how frustrating and unbelievable stupid this is.

Sold invalid cards
I bought several gift cards with GCX and it worked. But I bought a $50 Buca di Beppo gift card for $40. When I went to Buca, I then realized the gift card has too many numbers and no PIN number. Now GCX does not want to give me a new card when they sold me an invalid one.

I would have rated as 0 star
I would have rated as 0 star. As a 10 year customer, my account was temporarily locked for negative balance due to a sale, but I have never sold anything on GCX. Then my account was deactivated, which cause me not bing able to access any of my cards. Awful, GCX is totally a disaster!

Scammed on a couple of Walmart gift…
Scammed on a couple of Walmart gift cards worth $200 bought from this company. I've never used them but the cards show zero and partial money.

Can't talk to a person but they fixed the issue
I have this giftcard I tried to access its details and couldn't. I try to logIn and it says there is no account associated to it. I tries their chat box, put the correct number of the order it says its invalid. I have now lost about 15min trying to find an email or a number to call and explain my issue but nothing. How come a company sell millions of dollars in giftcards but won't make itself available to talk to its customers if they need help using them. that's very disappointing! And so far I am $500 short cause my problem was still not solved
Update: they contacted me and restored my account so as I could acess the giftcard details so solved my issue but man, why make me go through the whole pain of trying to find a number or speak with a person and be frustrated at rhe end after not succeeding?
My 2 cents for GCX is: next time you need to cancel an user profile do it so only for new purchases. Do not block their acess to giftcards they already bought. This will for sure save you a lot of new emails in your inbox and dissatisfied customers.
But at the end, they did solve my issue and I am grateful for that.

ID Verification Required to Purchase???
Created my account after hearing about Raise on a podcast. Loaded $250 worth of gift cards in my cart and checked out. Immediately got an email that my order had been cancelled and when I tried to load them again, my account was suspended. To remove the account suspension, I would have to send them pictures of my ID or passport. REALLY??? No thank you. I am not selling anything, you should not need ID verification from me. Was looking forward to using this service...a LOT. But this is just shady.

Raise/GCX is great… until it isn’t.
I’ve used Raise/GCX for a few years, and my experience was great until a few weeks ago. I had purchased a $50 gift card that was never sent, so I reached out to customer service. No response. I reached out again. No reply. I reached out again. Still nothing. Finally, after 9 separate AI chat messages without a human response, I contacted my bank and had the charge removed. This finally got Raise/GCX’s attention. Two weeks later, I received an email attempting the rectify the situation. I told the representative that I had already gotten the charge removed and no longer needed the gift card, so I didn’t need any further assistance. The representative did not listen and decided to add the gift card to my account. This only created more problems. I tried to log into my account to purchase a different gift card, but I couldn’t because my account was frozen. I emailed the customer service representative, who told me that I needed to cancel the dispute with my bank if I wanted to use my account again. Ridiculous. I didn’t need the gift card anymore; I needed it 3 weeks prior. And now, because I disputed the charge with my bank after weeks of no response, I’m being punished. Apparently, the “delivers instantly” part of the gift card doesn’t actually hold water when put to the test. This broke my heart. I have honestly spent thousands (yes, thousands) of dollars on Raise/GCX in the last year alone. I use it every day. So, my wife created another account so that I could keep using GCX, which only created more problems. GCX realized that I was trying circumvent the block on my account and immediately froze my second account… after I had purchased a $50 gift card. The customer service representative told me that I could still use the gift cards that I had already purchased, but this is a flat out lie. I cannot log into the website or the app, so I cannot use the gift cards I have purchased. I’m not sure how to rectify the situation at this point, but it looks like I have not only been taken for $50 but also blocked from a website I use every day and have promoted by telling friends and family about it. My best hope at this point is for my friends, my family, and anyone reading this to delete their accounts and not get taken, too.

Non existent customer service
Always was a great company, but recently bought a GC and it came back as invalid. Can't find a phone number and their chat it is worthless. Managed to open a ticket but nothing happened. I'm out $50 and can't get help.
Update-still no response and it just happened again! Use this site with caution! They don't seem to care about customers getting ripped off!

Was referred by a friend and first didn’t receive the $10 bonus that was promised for signing up under the link. Then my account was flagged and frozen told to email support then my account was terminated after I complained that I didn’t receive the bonus I was promised.

Total scam
Total scam. Zero balance on card and bots as customer service. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

Abysmal customer service and a scam…
Abysmal customer service and a scam company. I'm a single mom with a tight budget and a teenage son who absolutely loves Hollister. I had waited months for a Christmas sale that would allow me to stretch my dollar and I also found a gift card on Raise/GCX and figured that I could save a little more money by buying a discount gift card. Win-win right?! My mistake! I purchased an $85 Hollister gift card from Raise/GCX, and received
an e-gift card quickly via email. I went to Hollister.com immediately after to pay for my purchase with the gift card, but I was told that the e-gift card had $0 on it. As frustrating as that was, what was absolutely rage inducing was the fact that there is absolutely no way to speak with a human being to fix the issue. I was forced to submit my issue through their "chatbot" system, which helpfully told me that they had purchased the gift card directly from Hollister, so I myself needed to follow up with Hollister. I was stunned that they expected me to follow up with a company that I had not purchased anything from. Then, after wasting hours with Hollister, I was told that the gift card had already been redeemed a year ago and there was nothing they could do. At this point I was in tears. Four days after my initial purchase of the gift card, I finally received an email from Raise/GCX saying that they are looking into it and would get back to me in another SEVEN(!!) business days. At this point, the Hollister sale that I had been waiting for is over, I've now wasted hours of my time trying to resolve this issue with zero human interaction, and I'm out $71, with nothing to show for it but a digital gift card with a zero balance. I understand that things happen and mistakes are made, however I fully expect a company such as this to have a customer service system in place that allows you to speak with a real person. At this point I have no other recourse except to contact my bank. Save your time and money, do not buy from them.

Truly a horrid experience
Truly a horrid experience. Thought It was a good idea to save 8$ on a gift card but is absolutely not worth the hassle. The card not only didn't work with provided screenshots as proof, the support agent finally got back to me after a week to say there was no problem and their 90 day guarantee only counts on their terms lmao. Filing a chargeback through my bank, they can keep the card

I am very disappointed with my experience using Raise. Despite being highly qualified for several roles I applied to, I wasn’t even given an opportunity to interview. The job descriptions matched my skills and experience perfectly, yet there was no feedback or consideration.
What’s even more frustrating is that I missed one opportunity due to a family emergency—my mother was ill—and I was not given a second chance or even the courtesy of rescheduling. This lack of empathy and flexibility is disheartening, especially from a platform that claims to support job seekers.
Overall, I felt undervalued and unsupported throughout the process. Raise needs to improve its communication and demonstrate more understanding for life’s unexpected circumstances if it wants to truly help candidates succeed.
Great experience ordering gift cards, instant delivery
My experience with Raise over the years has been excellent. Today, I purchased Airbnb gift cards at almost 10% off, plus an extra 3% off for signing up for their deals, and all 3 cards were delivered instantly and worked flawlessly.
Great company.

Bad gift card, no help from them
I have a bad gift card, I cannot get any response from them, then they have the gall to complain that I opened multiple tickets when they didn't answer the first one.

The lockouts suck I’ll be honest
The lockouts suck I’ll be honest. But they restore my account without me having to contact them now, previously it was a headache and i hated interacting with them. Now that they transitioned to raise they remove the locks automatically or something. Of course FIXING the locking issue would be the best thing to do. But hey not my circus, not my clown. At least i get my giftcards. I haven’t had a bad experience with that ever. Thankfully.

Worthless Customer Service
You can get some good deals on gift cards at Raise/GCX, but don't count on getting any help from their Customer Service if your card balance mysteriously disappears (even though they continuously say that customer service and satisfaction is their highest priority).
On two occasions, I've had a gift card purchased from Raise/GCX initially have the correct balance and then later have a $0.00 even though I hadn't yet used the card. I can only conclude that the gift cards that Raise/GCX are selling are, at least in some instances, compromised such that thieves can steal the balance after the gift card has been sold. In both instances for me, Raise/GCX Customer Service Department just says, in effect, not our fault so no refund. As a result, I've been cheated out of $75.
Avoid Raise/GCX.

I purchased 6 gift cards - SCAMMED
I purchased 6 gift cards totaling $2,650.44. I believed what some people were saying. But this is definitely a SCAM. It says 90 day money back guarantee yet the moment your gift cards don't work they give you the run around. They have an excellent AI program running in the background but this website and company is a SCAM. No other explanation.

Signed up for GCX Raise gift cards site…
Signed up for GCX Raise gift cards site to purchase some gift cards. Did not honor the 10$ offer for being a first-time buying customer. Then they rejected my payment with a good standing bank account, and locked me out of the site. I contacted support who informed me my payment was rejected by their security system, and now they need me to send them a picture of my license to them. No explanation of why their security system flagged my bank. I do not feel comfortable giving out my license information and my bank account information too. I came to do a little research on the company first. Seems I made the right choice and have dodged a bullet from all the reviews I have read on different sites. I will return to my usual gift card site. Bye Raise you lost a potential customer today.
September 09/26/2024 Update Edit
I see in their reply they should have it on their website everyone will get flagged as having a security risk bank account. All will be locked out of their account after saving in their bank account info and demanded to turn in their license photo into the company as well, before changes can be made. Also, I asked them to remove my bank information from their system and to delete my account to support. For them to contact me when this is completed. Not a single notification from them. So, my personal bank information is still saved into their database. Not happy at all with the outcome.
