£150 down the drain - AVOID

They emailed me saying the sample sent did not have enough blood and that I can buy another test kit for £15 to retake the sample.
They didn't tell me how to do this so I emailed customer support. They didn't respond. When they sent me this feedback link and I put 1 star it gave the option to instead contact customer services, so I did again requesting how to purchase another kit. Heard nothing again.
As I paid for a test and gp appointment this is almost £150 down the drain now

Do not use this service.

Having read some of the reviews i wish i had never used this company.
Paid on the 12th Nov. and was told there were delays due to 'relocation'.
Test finally arrived mid-jan. I turned it around and waited for results. After 3 chasing emails finally got told on 31st January that the sample had been affected by haemolysis so no good.
Now been told i will get a refund!!
Lets wait and see. 80 days just to be told nothing and 50quid down. Terrible.

Be very careful, use your due diligence on this company

There is something very wrong with the Rainbow Labs organisation. They advertise themselves with an NHS badge, which would equate to trust, but I simply don't believe their affiliation.

I too sent off for a test, received the kit, I sent it back complete, but results have been forthcoming in months. There phone has been out of order for months, they don't respond to the Contact form via their website and are therefore uncontactable.

Due to their tests generally costing less than £100 a section 75 chargeback for an incomplete service can be a challenge but not impossible (don't rule it out).

I would suggest you do not send this company money and use your GP instead. I know GP appointments can be hard to get, but you will have your appointment and results well in advance of Rainbow Labs completing them at the moment, if they ever complete them at all.

No results forthcoming

Received test kit for menopause, followed instructions and sent it back, they received it on 12.10.24 and no result. No response to emails, phone numbers don't work. I have complained to CQC. Particularly surprised as I got to this company through a link on my doctors website. DO NOT USE.

Signed up for a recurring subscription for thyroid…

Signed up for a recurring subscription to test thyroid regularly. First test came through post and went smoothly. Second test due in July didn't materialise and now the phone number doesn't work and there is a message saying they are moving address. Don't sign up. Don't trust them.

Paid for a PSA test and money taken…

Paid for a PSA test and money taken from credit card on the 21st October. As of 4th November still no test kit. Their website says they’re relocating their lab so to expect delays. When I made my order the delays were expected until 30th October, checked today and now it says 14th November. I have zero faith in their clinical abilities if this is how they deal with clients especially with such a life changing test. Very fast to take payment and over 2 weeks later nothing. Have requested refund and going to someone more reliable. Always check company reviews before using these services - I will be!

So terrible

So terrible, I would never recommend. Contacted support over 2 weeks ago with no response. Contacted their admin team via their website form with no response. Called their office and the phone number didn’t work. The worst service ever, an absolute disgrace.

Quality control when dispatching test…

Quality control when dispatching test kits is non existant.
Contents list says 3 lancets, there were only two
Two alcohol wipes, there were none
Two plasters, there were none.
Results arrived resonably quickly.

Health MOT

I tried Rainbow Labs for the first time and found them highly professional, helpful and courteous. The blood test was carried out at their Harley Street facility which is easily accessible. The report arrived within 48hrs with detailed recommendations and any actions which were easily understood. It is set out in a wonderful system of graphics using a colour-coded system for ease of use and understanding. Highly recommended.

PCR test for SARS-COV-2 ordered

PCR test for SARS-COV-2 ordered. Reasonable price (£35 at time of test, October 2022) and fast turnaround. Results were entered into the NHS system. It is frustrating that the marketing was centred around people wanting tests so they could fly rather than preventing spread of covid and supplying evidence of a positive covid infection to help deal with any potential medical gaslighting over post-viral illness. Also it’s an injustice how the state no longer provides free tests and the NHS Covid app is being shutdown - not that this is the fault of Rainbow Labs - the UK government is forcing us to navigate a purchasing decision on which company will provide the most accurate testing that we aren’t equipped to make and pay for it just to have a chance of keeping ourselves and others safe and get access to medical care while all covid precautions have been / are stripped away. An excellent service from Rainbow Labs (minus the obnoxious advertising and insistence on providing a passport number) but in the context of widespread state abandonment. Healthcare shouldn’t require complex interaction with the market or any cost to the individual.

Wonderfull experience

Wonderfull experience. All staff including customer service was very kind, available and helpful.
It looks like the interpretation of the blood tests is automated and the system could use some improvements but over all the results were quite clear.

As a B2B lab this is the worse option…

As a B2B lab this is the worse option you can choose because:

- they ask you to pay upfront for all materials such as PCR swabs
- for Covid results they are always late with results which caused us to give many refunds to clients
- communication is very difficult as you ask for something they reply about something else
- they are not opened week ends which causes a lot of issues
- they also ask for unjustified payments without breakdown of costs + to pay for the samples that were 1-2 days late ???

Best to find some other provider as these guys have no clue about business

In regards to their response, I can provide all emails from unhappy customers, refunds, and complaints. Their own owner of the lab came to the clinic and registered patients himself onto their platform. Then after 3 hours they email for us to register them again! Joke with a super cheap portal and extremely rude and unprofessional staff, kind of childish even by their reply below! By flagging my review doesn't mean you will get it removed, I can provide all the profs needed to support my complaint!

Thank you for your review, however it is disappointing to see that what you said above is not reflective of true events and quite misleading.

1) You were invoiced upfront for consumables because you walked into our lab demanding consumables, without us having a SLA in place or without us having prior knowledge of you. As a business we reserve the right to have all legal documents signed prior to service. As you were in a tight situation and had booked patients without even having the stock to perform the tests, we helped you out and sent you a supply of stock and billed you for it as you did not have a SLA to cover it.

2) Regarding later results for your patients, you have repeatedly failed to follow proper procedure. We received numerous tubes without any identifier information. As per good scientific practice guidelines we cannot positively identify a sample with the correction information supplied for that sample. Our team tried very hard to guide you through the process but this was met with a lot of difficulty from your side as you said "I not have the time to fill in this information". This is a medical service and we take our work seriously and suggest you do the same.

3) Yes we are not open on weekends, and that was on the SLA that you had eventually signed with us.

4) Attached to our invoice is a statement of costs, the patients whose tests were run and the amount due. Your invoice is still overdue.

5) Furthermore, the owners of the lab did not come to activate your tests in clinic, it was a manager who came to help you and show you how to use the portal. We have had many clients use the portal during the pandemic and you were the one and only client who struggled with the platform so we tried to provide you with additional support.
